Well after moaning and groaning over the past few weeks I renewed both my own and my father's tickets today. The promise from Ritchie that we will see more attacking football this forthcoming season coupled with the re-signing of the loyal David Raven helped me decide. The biggest factor though was in memory of my Dad who passed away this week. He was a true Caledonian FC fan and former groundsman at Telford Street. He took me along as a very small boy and I tagged along as he lined the pitch on match days with distemper, put the sawdust on the penalty spots and hung the nets. R.I.P. Dad, x

In 1993 I retired from the Fire Brigade in Lancashire and was offered a job in the deep south in Kent A work mate of mine was a Wimbledon fan, he took me to matches .and I soon got hooked. For many seasons a I watched Wimbledon play Premier league football on Crystal Palace's ground Selhurst park. 14 years ago the club was stolen off the fans and franchised to Milton Keynes. The Fans formed a new club themselves, ( sitting on hay bales on an amateur ground ) they joined the 9th level of English football, determined to fight back their rightful place now they are in the 3rd tier of English football, Fantastic spirit of Neil Hardley who I watched play against all the top sides . Now AFC Wimbledon are in the the same league as MK Dons, What a game that will be next season when the teams meet on level terms. My memories of that period of my life returned today. Unbelievable feeling I can tell you.
  3. I'd like to think our club takes players character and work rate into account when judging prospective signings. Riordan fails on both counts, even in the remote chance he managed to get back to SPL level fitness, you'd still be adding a bad apple to the dressing room. Who wants to work with a ned?
  4. I think Renegade forgot to insert a
  5. From what I can see Riordan is still contracted to York. How do you propose we sign him? You don't seriously think we spend money on him? Why don't we sign his former strike partner Garry O'Conner as well then if we're judging players ability on what they did a decade ago.
  6. Many years ago, a young lad called David Macrae was on the youth training programme, but got an odd game with the first team just before ICT were promoted to the SPL first time around. He married and he and his family are now living in Queensland , Australia where he coaches the Noosa Lions. I think they may only be a kids team, but can't deny the boy has gone far in distance terms.
  7. Just been told that someone bought them today. Nice one whoever you are. Hope you enjoy it.

He has performed well on clay this year and he dominated Jock Ovic in Madrid final. Tough nut to crack, but if he adopts the same controlled aggressive attitude then he can do this. It's all in his head. Here's hoping.

Murray's performances at Roland Garros these past two weeks have been like the fabled 'curate's egg', ranging from abysmal to brilliant, sometimes in the same match. Yesterday, against the champion, Warinka, he was at his brilliant best I'm pleased to say, and it was a real pleasure to watch him win a match of excellent quality, with something to spare. I hope he has left something in the tank for the final tomorrow. Good luck Andy.

ok what did JH do for our beloved ICT' yes europe oh slipped my mind did we have the most treasured day in our short history but then he had delusions of grandeur and demanded Barca type footy but he forgot we dont have Messi Suarez Etc.Bored many of us with his at KO CF to CDthen RB LB MF this about 10 times then GK who hoofs it up to halfway line but usually out of play opposition get possesion score we lose we dont attack same old story lose again. sorry if you think im ranting on but its my thoughts of what was going on. Bye Bye Yogi sigh of relief from me .I know youre not stupid and i hope you understand my unproffesional explanation. Cheers..By the way IHE did you manage to get the beard cleared or you still terrorising the older and other residents in Chorley.
  13. I know he is a difficult individual but beast him in pre season, give him regular games and put him on a pay to play contract re the first team and I can't see what the downside is, he would be playing on the biggest stage which might just give him the motivation to screw the nut. There is no doubting his football ability slow or not many of his goals were from outside the box, he scored almost 25 goals from left midfield for Hibs when did someone last do that? I admit he is a gamble but that's the area we trade in: Storey no squad number, Brewster 1st time legs had gone could only play 30mins great target man,the Kilmarnock striker whose name escapes me was injured for two years before joining, we signed Ofere who was like Bamby on ice trying to control a ball, if we can sign someone like Ofere, Riordan is a no brainer at least he is a footballer. I'm not saying he is the answer just worth the gamble.
