Couldn't agree more Mantis, if he is leaving no way will it be for £14M not when a full back left for over £20M. Can't criticise Celtic for attempting to take advantage of our financial situation to enrich themselves but we should tell them in no uncertain terms where they should go. If an approach has been made on this subject then it suggests that he is indeed leaving Celtic however, the £14M figure sounds like a plant by their friends in the media to influence the negotiations with ICT over the sell on clause. I hope our board have sufficient nous to see through this well worn tactic.

He may and we do. I have heard a number higher than 14 as well. If his value is reputed to be in the £14m range then accepting less than £2.8m from Celtic would be folly ......

So if your figures are right the timothys only need about £5.4m to break even. Hope we tell them to do one.
  4. Very competent and professional performance yesterday against a team with twice our budget and the best possible reaction to last week's setback against Arbroath. Realistically, we are now in a battle for second spot and it's impossible to overstate just how important it is that we retain that place. History shows very clearly that teams occupying third or fourth place in this division have little or no chance of prevailing in the play offs due to the extra effort of the two extra games. Second place gives a chance and has been good enough to achieve promotion more than once. Whilst a cup run would be a bonus, all efforts must now be on retaining second place and giving ourselves a chance of promotion. It's no exaggeration to say that retaining full time football in Inverness may depend on it.
  5. Alan do you really believe you are helping the team by turning on them and lambasting them with what you call choice language. ????????????????
  6. Just read p and j article that some of our players. Donaldson, white, Trafford to name a few are deciding not to sign new deals with the club because they think they could get regular starts in the premiership. Robbo says he's concerned fans think he isn't doing enough to sign them up but makes it clear he is trying. I think these players need to have a long hard look at there inconsistent performances before getting too big headed to think they are of Polworth or Chalmers level.
  7. Don't think we should be wasting our limited resources bringing anyone in. We've got a decent squad, and talented youngsters waiting in the wings. A few more supporters turning up wouldn't go amiss though!
