  1. Right now, from a football point of view, all that really matters is that the club survives to start and complete the 2020/21 season. If we can be competitive and vie for promotion again that will be a bonus.
  2. As Bad Santa said, they can't all be winners. No matter what solution we end up with, someone, somewhere will not be happy with the outcome. The trick is to strike a fair balance that minimises the hurt and helps to keep everyone afloat. As long as the restructure supports a decent pyramid with movement between the bottom tier and the Highland/Lowland leagues to keep things fresh then like gingerjaggy I don't see a big issue overall.
  3. @hislopsoffsideagain tweeted this earlier and it's as accurate as anything we've got to go on: ICT apparently have the following out of contract: Jack Brown Aaron Doran Daniel Hoban Matheus Machado Cammy Mackay Brad Mckay Shaun Rooney Charlie Trafford Carl Tremarco Tom Walsh Jordan White We know that Rooney is off to Saint Johnstone, White has signed a PCA with someone (Motherwell) and Tremarco is not getting a new contract (rumours persist that he wasn't offered one as well as him allegedly turning down an offer). Of those remaining I hope we keep Walsh and Doran but I fear neither will be with us next season.
  4. The club is in an incredibly difficult position at the moment. With discussions going on around restructuring, there is a real possibility that we might be back in the top flight next season. But then there is a real possibility that we won't. The club simply don't know where we will be playing but they do know that the revenue streams from those two options would be very different. In these circumstances it is almost impossible to do any realistic budgeting and to decide who they want to keep and who they don't. It may well be that the best option is to plan for just keeping afloat in the Championship. If we do end up in the Premiership then we would do so on a very low budget and would be hot favourites for the drop. However, a low budget and increased revenue stream would help make us financially stronger and would allow us to be in a much better position to be competitive in the Championship the year after in the likely event of us being relegated next year. Of course, we might not get relegated, in which case we would be in a position to strengthen. The club might expect that if we end up in the Premiership, we will be a more attractive option to out of contract players who may be happy to be on a lower wage if it gives them exposure in the top flight. The club is not really in a position to be making commitments to out of contract players at this time. Once a decision on the possible restructuring is made then the club should be in a better position to make decisions. The continuing Coronavirus situation will, however, continue to impose other very considerable uncertainties for some time to come.

Another great listen. Particularly interesting to hear them talk about the differences between former managers and a harsh but no doubt honest appraisal of Foran‘s time.
  6. In all honesty there will be a greater need for reconstruction after this crisis as we pick up with less clubs/more players for the league formats that are currently in place.

If its anywhere near as good as part 1 it will be amazing. 👍
