  1. Wind your neck in or take another break! No-one called you thick and you didn't report the post. There is nothing for an admin to steer in any direction and if one person disagreeing with you equates to everyone having something against you then you may need to re-evaluate things a little.
  2. Ball 8 v Ball 27 Coronavirus trumps all. Scottish Cup games on hold until February at the earliest ***A pitch inspection is planned for Saturday morning after the recent cold spell has left a lot of pitches frozen,*** Following a pitch inspection this morning at Victoria Park, today’s Scottish Cup Second Round tie against Buckie Thistle has been postponed. The match will now be played on Tuesday 12 January 2021, Victoria Park, 8.00pm kick-off That draw means that The Caley Jags will head to Victoria Park Buckie to take on olde Highland League adversaries Buckie Thistle in the second round of the William Hill Scottish Cup on Saturday January 9th, a draw predicted by one of our resident seers Gringo. Unfortunately the game will be covid restricted meaning that no fans will be allowed into the ground to witness the first full competitive match between the sides. The game is scheduled to kick-off at 3:00pm. Buckie Cup snow.mp4 It's not the worst draw to be honest as we have a decent record of putting green and white hooped sides out of the Scottish Cup. A cold winters afternoon, potential banana skin fixture with the possibility of a scalp for the Highland League side. What's not to enjoy about the early rounds of the Scottish Cup. +++++++++++++++ Buckie Jags +++++++++++++++++ Streaming? (waiting for confirmation) Official Preview +++++++++++++++ Caley Jags +++++++++++++++++ Graeme Stewart's Buckie Thistle made their way to the second round of the Cup after an excellent away win at Albion Rovers, beating the Cliftonhill side 3-0. Two goals from Andrew MacAskill, one direct from a corner kick, and a Scott Adams strike were enough to inflict a sixth defeat in seven games for Brian Reid's side. Boss Stewart had played under John Robertson for the Caley Jags from season 1999 to 2003 making 38 appearances, scoring twice. Former Inverness youngsters Kevin Fraser and Andrew MacAskill are at Buckie along with keeper Martin MacKinnon who is on loan at present. Stewart's assistant manager Lewis MacKinnon is also on the books as a player, so great incentive for these guys to do well against their former club. John Robertson has lost the services of Kai Kennedy to covid. The exciting prospect has returned to parent club Rangers as he has signed a new contract and it is believed he will be loaned out to Raith Rovers. More detail can be found at ICTFC. It is believed "he found the pandemic restrictions and the fact he was so far away from his family particularly difficult and became increasingly, and understandably, homesick". Awwww, you OK hun? He will be a massive miss at the Caledonian Stadium for the rest of this season especially on top of the news that Aaron Doran will likely miss out for a couple of weeks after suffering concussion in the game against Dunfermline Athletic just before the bells. This should open the door for Daniel Mackay to return to the starting XI as a wide forward. Maybe we would have seen the likes of David Carson if he wasn't suspended, as his energy is missed in midfield and there's no guarantee that Sean Welsh will stay injury free for a run of games. Kevin McHattie is another we have yet to see re-appear after pre-season injury. ***Latest Team News from the ICT camp*** David Carson and Brad Mckay are suspended for this Cup game. Aaron Doran is out after suffering concussion against the Pars and Kevin McHattie and Lewis Toshney are at least a month away from making a comeback. I expect that will smooth the way for Wallace Duffy to return with possibly Daniel Mackay replacing Kennedy/Doran. Scottish Cup Flashback.... Some strike by Duthie. Boom!

Interesting the standard of players fans seem to think they are entitled to see at ICT, yet fail to be cognizant of our financial status. Perhaps the club should just sign a handful of stellar earners of proven quality and fill the rest with youth to see where that takes us, otherwise fans need to accept and get behind what we have as been the best compromise of ability against costs that allows for a competitive squad. As for Brad, he's been a decent servant and far from the worst player technically or overpaid that I have seen at the club over the years!!!
  4. Nothing official yet but there seem to be some Twitter whisperings that this Saturday's game will be streamed.
  5. The last time I was at Victoria Park Buckie was on the 21 November 1993. This was to see my beloved Jaggies take on the Buckie Jags, the game ended in a 2-2 draw. It was always a hard fought game against Buckie, and it would have been great to go back after so many years.
  6. Covid hits us in yet another way. The ban on travelling outwith local authority area for the lad to make trips home to his parents house seems to have been a decisive factor here.
  7. FFS, I only asked a question, there is no need for that ridiculous words, jesus, this forum is getting worse by the day! Ask a simple question yet get head bitten off and accused of being "thick" and, as per usual, no admin to either steer the thread back on topic or to ask for politeness!! What has everyone got against me, some new year this is, I still get the most unwelcome posts on here. :ictscarf:
  8. QoS hitting a bit of form so not a great time to play them. Now or never if we want to get seriously involved in the promotion spots
  9. A wee bit concerned now TBH Hearts Dundee and Dunfermline look good for play offs are we fighting for the last play off place? And if Kennedy is going to Raith over us that seems a bit concerning I’m always fairly optimistic but thinking yet another year in the championship awaits 😪
  10. ICT got Kennedy from Rangers on loan and he has lit up the side somewhat. Certainly not been a dud, that's for sure. I would like the club to think along the same lines now and see who they might get in the loan market. We probably get better value and no millstone contracts, allowing us to also hang onto our own promising youngsters. However, how about looking further afield? MLS is a huge player pool for example and with the disruption to the NASL/USL/CPL over here where teams usually send players to get experience they are now looking worldwide for 'partner' clubs according to a face to face chat I had with TFC president Bill Manning in early 2020. I can really only talk about TFC but most teams will have scenarios similar to that which I describe below: Toronto FC sent 3 internationals (1 full, 2 under 23s) out on loan last Season. Noble Okello and Rocco Romeo went to HB Koge in Denmark (Rocco is still there) and Julian Dunn went to Calgary. Ralph Priso, Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, Jacob Shaffelburg, and Jayden Nelson are all up and comers who have made first team debuts and any one of those would add to our squad, especially Noble Okello (IMO). Ifunanyachi Achara is another candidate. He was drafted by TFC last year and got injured at the start of the season. He will be on the road to recovery now but may need time to get up to full fitness and a loan outside might be beneficial for all concerned. He also counts towards TFC's international spots (Nigerian) so if he is not likely to make first team appearances in 2021 they may want him off the books for a year. He looked really good in the one game he played (his professional debut where he scored and put in a MOTM performance) and his previous (non-professional) playing experience is also impressive. Biggest issue with some of these players might be work permits but now as ex-EU it might be possible? TFC also have an incredible academy (one of the best in North America) which is churning out a lot of players - good players - who might also be options. I am not too familiar with TFC II but Dante Campbell and Nyal Higgins seem the most ready to make the step up and maybe Jordan Peruzza. Lots of options there in just one MLS team - permits permitting - multiply that by 26 teams and you can see its a pretty big pond that is largely unfished yet!
  11. Found them 👌 Second pic is of 10CC taking the corner. My eldest lad (wearing the baseball cap) is sat on the advertising board by the corner flag.
