The successful appeal for Allardice just shows how poor the standard of refereeing is in the Championship. It's not as if the referee was unsighted, he was right there but still got it horribly wrong and, arguably cost us a win.

The attitude needs to be that a team knowing that I'm paying £18.50 to watch them on the telly At that price, I'm expecting Lineker, Shearer and Jenas round for the post-match analysis. Anyone know how they take their tea?

Out of our hands After the disappointing draw with Dundee in midweek, our destiny is in the hands of others. All we can do is gather points and hope that others can lend a helping hand by taking points of Dunfermline and Dundee as we visit Tynecastle to take on Champions Hearts. Alas, two minutes later Lee Ashcroft made the most of our missing players as he headed almost unchallenged into the net following a corner from Charlie Adams. That's how it ended, us with nine men and a point apiece. The problem with this is we won't know the outcome until the night before the game which is unsettling for his squad preparation for what is now the biggest game of the season. This game means relatively little to Hearts but everything to us. If we are going to retain any hope of the last play off place we need to come away with all three points. The attitude needs to be that of a team playing the final game of the season away from home knowing that only victory will give them a chance of avoiding relegation.
