I fear that some light hearted comments are being taken a bit too seriously, without the required pinch of salt. After the season we are having no one can be blamed for a bit of tongue in cheek as we hurtle towards the end of this rollercoaster.4 points

Can anyone who is good at working out these kind of things, work out if the remaining fixtures for all the clubs make it possible for us to actually win the league if we won out last three games and other results went in our favour? I have been so busy looking at 4th place that I hadn't realised how close to the top we are now. Now wouldn't that be something to aim for - the league and the cup! Oh No, Accies Again! Inverness make the long trek to Hamilton on Tuesday night for a rescheduled 7:45pm Championship fixture at New Douglas Park. Yes, I know, we do have to play them, but I promise this is the last time this season. We have failed to beat Accies in the three previous Championship games this season and they also knocked a young Caley Jags side out of the Challenge Cup at the height of our injury crisis. They simply have had our number this season, however we are a different beast at the moment having won five games on the bounce. The law of averages says we must beat them sometime. Doesn't it? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Match/Ticket/Supporters Bus Info Scottish Cup Tickets AGM ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Venue H2H v Accies Pld Won Drn Lst For Agst + / - Home 17 5 4 8 25 23 +2 Away 13 6 2 5 18 17 +1 Neutral 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Total 30 11 6 13 43 40 +3 Strangely enough, we have fared better away from home against Accies. However, as below, our statistics over the last ten meetings don't make good reading. Accies took the lead when a Lawson short corner fed Connor Smith who crossed in for Daniel O'Reilly to powerfully head home. Billy Mckay had a header blocked away for a corner as the pressure ramped up heading towards the interval and it paid off in the 43rd minute when Allardice drilled home from the edge of the box to level the game after a Carson cross was half cleared. Still time for Winter and JPT to combine but the latter shot wide. A deserved goal for the Caley Jags who have pushed hard to get back on level terms. Similar to Saturday, Connor Smith made no mistake from the spot after Dan Mackay brought down Rhegan Tumilty after the previous claim for handball was waived away. Billy Mckay shot wide as Inverness looked to come back again and Henderson had an effort blocked in the last minute of normal time. Billy got a yellow instead of a penalty then a second yellow followed and that just about summed up our three days of the Jackass. Iain Vigurs gave Bottom club Cove the lead with a low curling free kick after the interval. Ten minutes later Billy Mckay drove home from the spot to level the game and the comeback was complete a further four minutes later when Cammy Harper fired in from the edge of the box to make it five wins on the bounce. Not as easy a game as recent form would suggest, but another three points in the bag. W W W W W Hamilton went down to Queens Park on the Friday night when Grant Savoury scored with fifteen minutes left. Jake Davidson hit the post as Queens Park held on comfortably to leave Accies two points off the bottom. L W D L L Accies have won all three Championship encounters. Here's a thing. Had we won those three games then we would be sitting top of the table and Accies would be all but relegated by now. Just let that sink in how important these games have been for both clubs. Latest Team News Current injuries aside we have Jay Henderson unavailable for the second game of his two match ban. Wallace Duffy and Roddy MacGregor and Max Ram missed out again but Danny Devine got some game time at Cove whilst Robbie Deas was rested for the first 75 minutes before replacing Devine. Sutherland and Walsh look like they will be missing the whole season at this rate. Unless we have picked up any new injuries, then I suspect we will be along similar lines to the Cove game. We seem to be digging deep to grind out results, coming from behind at Ayr, Morton and Cove in our three of our last four away games, ironically losing away to Queens Park after leading. I’m as confident as I can be that we will bring three points back up the road tomorrow. We worry about games against teams at the bottom of the league, but we’ve done the job against Arbroath and Cove, and it’s time to complete the set. We will miss Henderson again, as Mackay and Samuels are not as effective just now (I’m giving the benefit of the doubt to Samuels after his injury troubles and we will hopefully see more from him soon), but Doran may start given his impact at the weekend. I just hope Duffy is fit to be in the squad as Hampden is getting closer and we need him match fit to take Carson’s place then. I don’t care what the performance is like as long as we win! Come on ICT!!2 points

I’m actually think Morton are a bit of a threat, I can see them finishing above us so we really do need to take care of Hamilton and Ayr2 points

Goal difference could play a part too. Smashing 8 or 9 past Hamilton without conceding should but things right.2 points

Think the aim has to be fourth? As above anything else would be a bonus. Not getting carried away though as we could still lose out. In our own hands for now though2 points

Thanks Robert for working all that out. I can definitely envisage that happening and I'm sure that the team are envisaging it too. Have a wee dram Robert, to potentially celebrate - make sure it is half full. Cheers ICT We are Titanium.2 points

I think it is possible only if Dundee and Queens Park lose their next two games then draw when they play each other in the last game of the season. Dundee visit us next, then are at home to Cove. Queens Park are away to Ayr and Morton. Dundee would have 59 and Queens Park 58, whilst three wins get us to 60 and also knock Ayr out of contention. Partick would also need to fail to win one of their last three. They are away to Hamilton, then home to Arbroath and away to Raith. Surely not even the greatest optimist can envisage that all happening! To be guaranteed to be staying in contention for a play off place, we need a minimum of four points from our games against Hamilton and Dundee so it is in our own hands when we play Ayr on 5 May. Ayr have two home games before they come here, against Queens Park and Raith.2 points

Can’t and wouldn’t like to stop the dreamers! That’s all it is - dreams. Patrick was our last real test. Bitter experience won’t let me see past tomorrows match with Hamilton. Artificial pitch, Team fighting to stay in the league, unlike Cove Hamilton has a core support and will fancy their chances based on the past results this season. So let’s hope we’re up for the fight, carry a bit of luck when we need it and score one more goal than Hamilton.1 point
