  1. Sole is injured at the moment
  2. Comfortable win and thoroughly deserved. A lot more tempo and urgency compared to the Cove game. Alfie Stewart will be a bit sore today was given some really harsh treatment from the Peterhead players. He was immense throughout and ran the midfield and was really creative. Pass marks for everyone. Surprised to see Millen on the bench thought we’d seen the last of him after his outburst against the referee previously. What’s happened to Liam Sole haven’t seen any mention of an injury. Altogether a really good night and was relatively warm until the latter stages when the wind was getting colder
  3. We try to keep our stats up to date as much as the outdated system on CTO will allow us. The main man for inputting the stats at the moment is IBM who beavers away behind the front line and is also responsible for the PotY polls. Cheers Iain 👏 We managed to get them up to date during covid and even found Billy Mckay's missing goal in time for him to hit the ton. Took a bit of finding but it was down to an input error when we/I only credited him with one goal in a premier league game when he scored twice many moons ago. Think it was against Killie in 2012.
  4. Totally agree re that team last night. Was dusappointed SK mentiined squad rotation again post match.
  5. As the header at the top of the post says “ it is time to kick on “. The finishing line is in sight. The team that started last night should now own the jerseys. Stop the squad rotation, freshening up the team etc and start them again on Saturday. Every player wants to play every game. Players not in the team have to show in training they deserve a game rather than getting “ their turn ”. Win at Alloa it’s same again next time. Lose at Alloa it’s then the managers job to identify what went wrong and the make the necessary changes for the next game and go again from there. winning breeds confidence and continuity should get us over the line sooner rather than later.
  6. A much better performance than Saturday and we were on top for the bulk of the game with three well taken goals. The officials were unbelievable in the second half: Huisdean has summed up the farcical decision to allow the Peterhead “goal” but credit to the players for knuckling down again afterwards. There were also a couple of penalty shouts but I’d need to see them again. We needed that tonight and now we need to build on it on Saturday.
  7. Inverness were in control of the first forty-five with goals from Chanka Zimba and Jordan Alonge. A couple of glaring misses as well but Peterhead never threatened other than from a few free kicks in wide areas allowing them to swing balls into our box but Ross Munro was untroubled in the first half. We killed the game early in the second half after an incisive break down the left saw Luis Longstaff drill a great ball into the box where Zimba slid in to net and set us all at ease. Out of the blue and to everyone's bemusement, Peterhead prodded the ball into ball into the net to confuse all inside the stadium. After a discussion with the linesman and half a dozen Peterhead players a goal was eventually given. Danny Devine had his say and the final outcome was still a goal and a yellow card for an incensed Scott Kellacher. The Peterhead goal remains a mystery for now as it happened at the far end of the pitch so will have to see match footage to see what happened. All looked a bit fishy to me 🐟🐠🐟 3-1 going on 6-0
  8. FT 3-1. Still room for improvement but gotta be happy with that result!
  9. Yeah I commented on this on Facebook. I really don't see what's in it for ICT. Good luck to them and all that, and maybe some time down the line there's something to be had from it, but the article makes the connection sound pretty significant with US wide recognition coming because of this. There is probably more brand recognition in myself and @luvgravy wearing our ICT tops to a Toronto FC game so I have to say our former CEO or one time potential phygital chairman back then would be mighty proud of the verbage and spin. These were my facebook comments (which someone in their supporters didnt seem to like ;)) then ... Bottom line is that USL2 is tier 4 (of 5) in the US pyramid and these 2 graphics kind of explain it. Click image to make them bigger. No-one outside of the local base for each team hears of them unless they perhaps do something in the US Open Cup (equivalent of Scottish Cup) where you might hear the name if one of these teams did a giant killing act. Sacramento Republic are the closest thing to an upset and that team reached the Open Cup Final in 2022 with Nick Ross taking part (came on as 88th minute sub) as Orlando beat them 3-0. Sacramento were tier 2 of the pyramid ....
  10. Time to Kick On We play one of our postponed fixtures against Peterhead on Tuesday night 17th February with a 7:45pm kick-off. This is our catch up fixture as all teams will have played 29 games after Tuesday night with only seven League1 fixtures remaining thereafter. It's not been the most productive last fortnight as the Caley Jags crawl towards the finishing line having dropped four points against the bottom two sides. This has allowed Stenhousemuir to draw level on points at the top of the table and put the fans on edge after they ground out yet another result against a dominant Peterhead. One positive from the weekend was Alfie Stewart's stunning strike to open the scoring and will go down as our 100th strike of the season. What a way to mark the occasion, as sweet a strike as you will see right here>>> BOOOOOOM! Our squad in the disappointing home draw with Cove Rangers, our third draw in the last four games. A searing 100th goal of the season for the Caley Jags from Alfie Stewart set us on the way to victory....or so we thought before Demus was left unchallenged in the 95th minute to grab a welcome point for Cove. Last Six League1: W W D D W D We beat East Fife comfortably 3-0 and followed that with a win in our BBC Alba extravaganza at Broadwood (0-1). The next League game was that tough 1-1 draw with Stenny when we had Ben Brannan sent off with 20m left. On the Tuesday after we beat Ayr Utd 1-2 to progress into the KDM Trophy Final. A disappointing no scoring draw at Kelty followed where we struggled to create enough clear chances and allowed the pack to close in again before last weeks 3-1 home win over Montrose. With Stenny drawing and Alloa losing in midweek, we had a smidgeon of breathing space going into the home game against Cove but that was taken away by a goalkeeper. Balint Demus headed in an equaliser because we failed to put the game to bed when on top. A common theme throughout the season and one which Stenhousemuir took full advantage of by snatching a last minute winner at the weekend. Meh! Why have the goals dried up at a crucial stage of the season when we really need to put teams to the sword? A bit more composure against Cove would have been more beneficial and given us a comfortable three points, but we spurned too many good chances to ease our way to victory. I doubt we will find Peterhead any easier to beat with Peterhead nine points better off than Cove despite Cove beating them 2-1 recently. Liam Sole was missing on Saturday??? Peterhead's squad that lost to Stenhousemuir at the weekend. A late goal that saw a four point swing at the top as unknown to them at the time of scoring, Cove's keeper would snatch an unlikely point at the Caledonian Stadium deep into time added on. Last Six League1: D W W L W L Their last six started with a 1-1 D at Kelty. A comfortable 3-1 win at home to East Fife was followed by an even better result at Palmerston as they beat Queen of the South 0-2. They lost the North East derby at Cove 2-1 but bounced back by thrashing title contenders Alloa 3-1 last midweek. A narrow defeat to a last minute Ross Taylor free kick saw The Warriors win at Balmoor to pull level at the top of the table with the Caley Jags. Peterhead have taken 10 points from their last six games compared to the Caley Jags' 12 points. Jack Newman is their No1 keeper and Flynn Duffy is still at Balmoor. Former Aberdeen players Peter Pawlett, Cammy Smith and Niall McGinn are all experienced campaigners with plenty to offer and Jason Brown is a leader on the park. 11. On watching the highlights, the player who put the ball in the net was onside, the one coming back from behind Munro kept moving back away from goal. However he did look like he was interfering with Munro's ability to control the ball and see the player who hit it in approaching, therefore I reckon should still have been flagged.

  13. Well done lads, a welcome victory. Couldn’t make it along due to travelling but closely watched the results come in on the bbc. Peterhead’s questionable ‘goal’ aside it appears a step up in performance from the team from Saturday’s draw. I don’t think many ICT fans believe there is any other team in this division that can live with us when we (the players) ‘turn up’. We have the ability, strength and balance of experience to deal with any team. It’s the mind set or attitude IMO that seems difficult for us at times to switch on. Thankfully we seem to recover it last night for which was (for me) a straightforward dull opponent. Just relieved we appeared to take our chances and scored early and followed up with another. Well done to the players and Kells. Better weather should make the remaining games more appealing to play (and hopefully) ‘turn up’. bc
  14. According to the Soccerbase head-to-head stats, that's first goal Peterhead have scored against us since the League Cup in Aug 2003.
  15. Peterhead goal was so offside, how it was given was unbelievable. Peterhead player ran from an offside position, clearly interfering with play, to prod the ball home. Unbelievably, the linesman didn't flag and while the referee did speak to him still awarded the goal. How the referee didn't see the offside either beggars belief. Referee was really poor tonight, totally inconsistent. Comfortable win otherwise.
  16. Well Zimba managed to score as he was falling to the ground! fair play big man!
  17. Liam Sole missing again and big Chanka comes in to the attack. Sweepstake to see what minute he lands on the grass... Wind has dropped and earlier rain has all but disappeared leaving a decent night for a kick about. Not so cold either. Thst's the end of the weather forecast.
  18. 1 point
Meh! Hope yer poolside bingo is called off and the Germans get all the best sunbeds and County get relegated...
