  1. Now that I have got used to the new format here are my feelings in a nutshell. 1. The former site was comfortable and made me feel at home, warm and fuzzy. BUT the new one is more sophisticated, brighter, cripser lines, beautifully streamlined and easy to navigate. And it looks very modern and up to date and in keeping with not only the times but also with the new surging progress of a re-vitalised team. I am sure that, for a new visitor, it must look extremely impressive. New posters will be attracted to become a member and it definitely can do nothing but enhance the credibility and attractiveness of ICT because it sets the bars at higher levels. It's professional apearance is outstanding. The emoticoms are classic, funny and colourful. And large enough for even a Pimple to see clearly. Smile. It is clear to me at least that there has been a great deal of thought and work put into the design and to eliminate some of the former draggy points and speed up navigation throughout. In particular, I love the ease with which we now are transported immediately to the very spot where you want to be on the Forums by clicking on "View New Content". One thought for the owners, however. Would it be possible to prominently display the start "new topic" button on the main Forum before you get into the individual threads? I could not remember where it was and kinda stumbled on it more by luck than good judgement. It seems logical to me to have it right up front where all can see it as they come in the door , so to speak. Just a thought. Summary ; Beautiful site and thanks for everything Scotty and Don. Have the club management praised your efforts and expressed their appreciation--hope so. :021: Scarlet

  4. I think the "hoof-the-ball-aimlessly-up-the-park-at-all-times" tactics that most Scottish teams seem to use is a part of the problem.

  5. I called today and expressed i was getting a tad annoyed. I was promised a call back asap. Still waiting. :( Yay top. I think I was a bit OTT seems as if the poor girl has a mountain of work to do with not much help. She just called back on my mobile after I had left a work number which she had tried and couldnt get me. So thanks shop lady. Ill wear my top with pride.

  6. The only place I can find who are happy to print your tops with SPL lettering is the Celtic shop in Eastgate. They have them in stock and charge ?6 per name and ?6 per number (even if it's a double number eg 14) Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to do this in house at the moment. Hope this helps

  7. same sorry story every year now. our so called top teams just seem to get whippped by teams youve never heard of before. One thing is clear they dont like very early season games, so is that just poor preperation. Hmmm unless we are playing Icelandic, Faroese, Scandanavian or Russian teams this must be the case. The listed countries play summer footie so you would not be suprised by there sharpness etc. But the likes of Braga and Maribor are weeks away from there season starting, so in theory we should be sharper than them. So why we failing - are we diluding ourselves that there are not enough young players in Scotland, and any Tomasi, Darius or Henrick should be better than our homebrew. Past climate shows we wont learn the lessons, until one largely home grown team makes it with exciting fearless football again. Will we ever see the likes of the Dons and Arabs tear teams to shreds again. Ido think that Terry found the right formula last season ( 4-2-3-1) but can we take it further, if we do I think they would need another couple of years together, but given our standing in the poor state of the scottish game, anyone showing real form this season may be easily skimmed of for a wad of cash. hope the teams atmosphere in the dressing room blends well, as that can be the thing that keeps the good guys, as our budget wont do it alone. So much for the media slagging off the lesser teams that have represented Scotland recently - Gretna, Queens, Livi, etc County might have done better than Celtic and Hibs, but alas we will never know. This year is the top teams in order representing us, lets just see how far we go. Well done Craig Brown's Motherwell by the way, 1-1 to a decent Norwegian team in the middle of their season, but can see them burning up towards the end of the season, but hey maybe we will be their to take their place.

  8. I agree. But take a look at this video. We may have an interesting weapon for free kicks just outside the penalty area. http://www.youmake.tv/video?id=8950 great strike! looks even better from the last camera angle, curl and power, not easily done. If he pops up with a few of those each season i'd be delighted

  9. Some more footage off our legendaric victory on our arch enemy Germinal B**rsch*t Antwerp, We a second division team win from a first division team who always said they where better then us, and more stabilty etc.. Well our team off youngsters, wash outs and testing players, kicked their asses and kept the title: The Team off Antwerp in our ranks!! some films: You never walk alone during the match, we NEVER stop singing! more non-stop singing and drinkin' these are just a few vids, there are hundreds off them on Youtube.. But to bad that u guys are kinda 'far' away and not so easy to reach, only for the people who have the free time and money will come to there, u must think its already easy 200 euro's for going to there alone, then u dont have drinks, food, tickets and a place to stay.. i think if it was in Londen orso, there will be a massive amount off fans.. Now there will be only a fraction off our Red Army!! ps. wanna thank the uploaders off the movies to, dont wanna run with the credits, while someone else deserves them! Let's hope for a good game soon :) But beware, we didnt lose 1 match yet in these pre season friendly's :-)

  10. Surely horse drawn carts don't have indicators? Instead, the locals keep 2 hands on the reigns and use the other one to make hand signals.

  11. Same formation as we're still playing a Division One team. I'm assuming Rooney isn't 100%, so a place on the bench. Esson Tokely - Innes - Munro - Golabek Cox - Duncan Ross - Gil - Shinnie Sutherland Subs: Tuffey; McCann; Odi; McBain; Rooney Unfortunately Tokely's at RB due to lacklustre reports about McCann and good ones for Innes. Really this is a chance to shine for Ross, Sutherland and Shinnie. If they're out of their depth against Queens, then what hope in the SPL. It's either Odi or Sanchez for the bench, with Odi doing better in pre-season, so gets the nod.

  12. Innes looks the part - he only had a short time on the park but he strolls like Dods and looks like he can read a game. Bloomingshyte has a classy touch but evidently has to get used to the pace of our game - but he is Juanjoesque in respect of his awareness adn skill but actually looks stockier and more apt to dig in. Two really promising signings in my view. Plus Grant Munro looks like a new signing with the shackle of captaincy taken off him plus Sutherland looks like a cross between Wood and Rooney.

  13. Whilst I agree it is only a pre season friendly it is also good to start playing together as a unit again Think this still emphasises we struggle when Foran and Hayes not playing, esp Foran. Wasn't there so would be interested to hear how those who have made the trek down thought we actually played, as I think we lack someone up front who can hold up the ball consistently as we will generally play with 1 up and support coming from midfield

  14. I've just been down to Manchester and this is typical of the pub debates going on. Can't wait for the season to start (language not suitable for work or kids btw !) Man City fan spells it out to deluded United

  15. This. We've signed players from the Highland League who have made the step up. Why should Gillet be any different? I'm happy with this signing because it looks like he was a fairly regular player for Barnet and they seemed keen to try and get him back. Plus it's an area that a lot of people have commented could do with strengthening. No disrespect to Golly but I wonder how much longer he can keep going. A wee bit of competition at the LB berth will be good.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.

    • Inverness CT (1-2) Hamilton - Play off Final 2nd Leg - Preview
The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb

    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.
