Ladbroke 's have suspended betting on Yogi being new United manager after odds tumbled from 25-1 to 4-6. Not sure whether that indicates that it's just some lunatic sticking £500 on a small market or whether it's something more worrying.....

Inverness CT -V- Hearts
Great to get the first win of the season. Thought we probably just about shaded it over the piece, certainly lacking in confidence in the first half but the goal seemed to galvanise the team. Thought Hearts were pretty cynical, lots of little fouls to break up the game and the two dives in the first half were shocking. Think Storey could be the player that we're after. Didn't get any service in the first have but there was plenty of pace and movement. Thoroughly enjoyed him taking Paterson to the cleaners. Draper must never play at the back again, he was immense and Tansey was all the better for it. Sending off was stupid from Hearts point of view. Second replay from a different angle showed a the worst punch in history from the Hearts boy. You can criticise Sho-Silva's reaction but he was making sure the officials saw it. Just seen another replay, the Hearts keeper saw what his player did and gave him grief for it. Good 3 points. That's the season underway.

Ryan Christie
Just in the door. 2-1 win for Scotland with Ryan scoring the equaliser with a cracking right foot finish after getting in behind. In truth Scotland should have won by a far larger margin, NI keeper made a few good saves and a few other opportunities were wasted. The 3 players in behind Cummings (Christie, Fraser & Gauld) were a step above anyone else on the park and played some really neat intricate stuff. Ryan certainly belongs on that type of level so let's make the most of him while he's here.

Ryan Christie
Starts for Scotland u21 today v Norn Iron. Game is at Mourneview park, about 20mins drive for me so I'm going to go along and see how he gets on.

Replacement Striker?
So, let me get this straight.... - Christie can be recalled in January - Miles Storey is only on loan until January (with 8 goals in his career at League 1 & 2 level) - Tobi Sho-Silva is only on loan until January (and is a midfielder with 1 career goal). What kind of strategy is this? Surely we're just kicking our problems down the road to January where they'll be an even bigger issue. It's completely crazy, there's literally no long term planning going here at all.

Inverness CT -V- Hamilton
Utterly pathetic. I know that injuries have played their part but even if the alarm bells aren't ringing there is the faintest of dins. We've had a very kind fixture list but only taken 2 points. A tad concerning to say the least. I hope not but this seems like a thinly veiled dig to the board.

Horner and Wedderburn for Lopez and Vigurs. Absolutely crazy subs when we're 1-0 down. Even more so when you consider we have two attackers on the bench.

Trialists
Murray is a decent player. On a par with Joe Gormley who signed for Peterborough last month from Cliftonville for £100k. Certainly a much better prospect than Curtis Allen although I would have some serious reservations on his temperament. He's been sent off a few times in the last couple of seasons for a couple of petulant acts and losing his head.

Replacement Striker?
Noticed this in Yogi's post match BBC Comments. Clearly another striker to come in if possible. "We're still trying to add to the top-end, that's for sure," he said. "It's not rocket science - we're needing a physical presence, or a real quick runner that wants to chase lost causes so we can stretch the game a little bit."

Ian Vigurs
Now confirmed and straight into the squad for tonight Official Site Think he'll be a good signing for us and I'm surprised that people think he won't be. He plays in a manner that fits in with our style, he's a classy passer of the ball and hits a mean set piece. I don't really care that he gave us the old cupped ears celebration when at County, nothing wrong with that at all, I quite like seeing a player respond to abuse by scoring a screamer and then celebrating infront of the opposition fans. To be fair he was probably still seething at the way Butcher had hung him out to dry.

Yogi says no more money no more players!
Interesting tweets from Tryone Smith @ STV this morning. Tyrone Smith Twitter 'Inverness boss John Hughes says he thinks he needs to add 3 players to his injury hit squad' 'John Hughes "we've got the wee treasure chest we've put away for a rainy day, unfortunately the rainy day is upon us''

New Away Strip
Killie have launched their away shirt today- made by Errea in case you're wondering. It's pretty poor that we haven't launched ours yet. Why aren't we capitalising on the fact our profile is higher than ever.

Russell Latapy
Very strong rumours going around that Russell has left the building.... Would be gutting if true, he's clearly a key element of the management team.

ICT's youth policy criticised
To be fair to the Beeb at least a part of their article alludes to the fact that some of what Mr Gray is saying is nonsense. 'But, although that were more than the seven in St Johnstone's 2014 Cup-winning team, five of Caley Thistle's Scots came through their own youth ranks compared to one - Stevie May - in the Saints squad. ' The amount of misinformation from this tool Gray is quite staggering. He clearly doesn't understand football because 'journeymen of poorer quality' do not finish 3rd and win the Scottish cup. Young hungry players from England who have grasped their opportunity at a higher level finish 3rd and win the Scottish cup.

ICT in Europe
They also finished bottom of Celtic's Europe League group last season. At least it's not a complete unknown then, hopefully Celtic will be kind enough to pass on a dossier.

The Northern Irish teams play the same type of season as us (expect no football on a Sunday!). A trip to Belfast to face Linfield or Glentoran (featuring Curtis Allen - booo!) would be good fun and might see us bring 500+ fans. Glenavon (Johnny Tuffey - booo!) are in the draw as well, but they're in County Armagh not far from the Republic border I believe. Glenavon are from Lurgan so 25mins down the motorway from Belfast. Any of the NI teams would be ideal as (a) home game for me, and; (b) the standard is utterly rancid. We'd comfortably win against all 3.

Celtic -V- Inverness CT
Meh, whatever. Thought we played some very decent stuff at times. It's clear that the philosophy and patterns we try to play stretches right the way through the squads. A lot of hard work clearly takes place on the training ground. We really suffered from a lack of quality in the final 3rd today, once Ofere and Watkins are out of the equation there's nothing there. Must be a priority to get at least one of them signed up ASAP. With so much of the team playing so little football this season is was inevitable that we would tire in the last 20mins. With Celtic able to bring on the likes of Commons and Griffiths they really capitalised on this. No injuries or suspensions for the likes of Devine, Esson, Christie and Williams was the priority for today so on that front it could be considered successful.
