Sad news. My heartfelt sympathies to Kay if she still comes on here. My biggest memory is after his heart op, many moons ago. At half time I came up to him and clapped him on the arm, and he yelled in pain and cursed loudly. This was in the main stand as well, causing some people to pause in unwrapping their Werthers. Apparently they took veins from his arm for the op.

Or, as it’s called on P&B, “Birthday Caird Pish” We finally saw them this year in Glasgow after missing out a few times. It was on Mrs Mantis’ bucket list, being from the Hebrides. A good night, but once will do me. There are a lot of Stornoway in-jokes and it helps if you have a bit of Gaelic. Uilly and Innes are really just experienced wedding musicians but Boydie is something else and a fine guitarist.

When our kids were wee we used the same swimming pool as Donnie Munro and his kids. Probably not allowed to mention that his missus was a real dream in a very classy looking pink swimsuit. Also Calum worked as a PE teacher at our school.
