  1. Agree with Beastie, Hearts were completely gash and if you get 3 early goals in a game anything can happen. However I think Hearts are doomed and I thought that long before now - getting cuffed at Tannadice has only reinforced it. They've made absolutely no inroads into the 15 point deficit. To stay up they'd need a) to start winning b) to have Dundee in 11th place
  2. Global (no) Energy Stadium - don't let them forget they sold out
  3. I hadn't realised Paul Ritchie had been at Lochee United. It is our one! there's a small picture here: http://www.locheeunited.co.uk/news_detail.asp?ID=6927 I think I saw PR score his first competitive goals for ICT in a 2-0 win at Albion Rovers on ............. 9/11. Naelifts was wondering if we should be playing football at all as we stood in the pub watching the reruns of the planes flying into the twin towers. The rovers fans were chanting 'get into these pensioners'. So obviously when we went a goal up in the second half we were singing 'one nil, to the pensioners'
  4. Yogi also played with Nitten (Newtongrange Star), possibly as a striker, before following the well-trodden route of Lothians non-League players to Berwick.
  5. You just missed the manager's job
  6. Best route is fly Inverness to Belfast, night out there, ferry over in the morning hoping the sea ain't rough. I attempted something similar in April 98. Cycled round Antrim all week and arrived in Larne Sat morning expecting to hop back over and catch Stranraer v ICT. Ferry was fully booked, couldn't believe it, no more foot passengers. Got back to Cairnryan early evening and on my way out the ferry terminal saw the ICT bus going past. Goalscorer Iain Stewart glanced out the window no doubt wondering who the daftie with the bike was.
  7. That's right, Liam's car was seized as it was purchased using the proceeds of his dad's heroin dealing. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/thistle-star-buchanan-has-car-seized-967220 Yet another guy who turned up at Whitehill Welfare Did a couple of sessions in pre-season training. Was never going to be within Whitehill's budget but the rumours didn't half scare the shyte out of the opposition
  8. In the ICT tradition of giving fresh young managers a chance (Robertson, Brewster, Christie ) it has to be Hartley for me. I know TB didn't exactly fit that mould but just because we are an established SPL side it doesn't mean we pick one of the old lags on the merry-go-round (Calderwood, Miller, Levein, Hughes etc - ugh).
  9. I bet I'm not the only one who reads this and tries to follow the instructions. I thought it went back longer to div 1 days, so possibly St Johnstone. Somehow I had convinced myself he had played for Livi
  10. We used to hate Hartley as a player didn't we? He used to regularly get the 'horse's erse' chant but I can't remember what the history was........
  11. There's been a few thumpings like when we won 6-1 at Stirling, and beat Brechin 5-1, and the time we gave Hamilton a goal of a start and took 6 off them. But for every decent win like that there's been a few stuffy wins like Elgin or even replays like Ayr or Partick. Having recently seen Whitehill take Stirling Albion to about 183 mins before conceding the winner I'll settle for any kind of passage into round 5. Let's face it we'll probably be trailing to an Imrie thunderbolt shortly after Mr Robertson blows for kickoff;-)
  12. Must be desperate signing up for forums to get rid of a book! Got it already btw.
  13. 1. Live Football on Satellite/terrestrial TV (beyond a reasonable level, i.e. Cup Finals, World Cup etc but not League football) 2. The whole elitist thing that has arisen because of 1), i.e. The Premiership, Champions' league etc. 3. Clive Tyldesley
  14. I thought it was too Charles. A shame that you couldn't bring yourself to engage with it!
  15. FT Hearts 2 ICT 1 Now that's a free kick
  16. Think I might make that one as well.
  17. The rangers game was on a sunny day. The Saints game it was pishing rain and a heavy pitch. Also I'm sure the fence had adverts on it in 1992. The length of the shorts tells you it's not 1992. Looks like Billy Urquhart lurking on the six yard line.
  18. 80% iPad 18% MacOS + Safari 2% iPhone + Safari If anybody can tell me how to access smileys on this site using iPad I'd be very pleased even with emoticons enabled I don't see them (or maybe I'm supposed to use bb code )
  19. You really need to get out more Laurence. Is it only London-based newspapers you read? Never heard of a debate being dead in the water before though, thanks for that nugget!
  20. What a great day out that was. ICT loud and proud.
  21. Terry's not that much younger than me and I'm retired Is it about quality of life or is he still up for a challenge? Some Championship clubs are in some pretty shytey locations. If he went to Hibs he could get a nice place in East Lothian within 15 mins drive of the training academy and still spend half the week at Abriachan.
  22. He got a few games covering at LB near the end of the season (2011-12 I think ) but wasn't signed. TBH he wasn't bad at that level
  23. Just as an aside, Darran Thomson played for Preston Athletic last week in 9-2 defeat at home to Whitehill Welfare in the Lowland League
