  1. I've always stuck up for Russeldinho, obviously I'm blessed with Nostradamus type powers. Not sure about the captain thing though, as he can be a bit hot headed. If the ref is less likely to book the captain then sure, give him the armband now
  2. Never got home till about 11 last night. Some people maybe a bit harsh on the team? People a bit spoiled by our success and still expecting us to crush County every time. County definitely passed better and good movement in the first half, but the home team should do more than that, they never looked like scoring. We played 2 different defences in that game and still they hardly created a chance. We were definitely the better side after the break but they put us under it in the last 10 mins. Despair when I see Eric starting, and was Jonny told not to go over the halfway line?
  3. Some people fooling themselves here. County going up would be a complete disaster for ICT. I would have to go for the 'Tokely pokes five in his own net' option as outlined by Chibber. Of course there is a precedent for this: 94-5 and ICT hump County 3-0 at Telford street to keep them in div 3. Fast forward to 1997 and champions ICT lose 4-0 at home to Forfar, keeping the cabbagemen in their rightful place, one division below and ICT's feeder club.. Mind you it's coming up to County's annual springtime collapse anyway so just sit back and watch it happen: 2-1 at Raith last week, it's started
  4. Well I'll take that, 2-2. They'll all have their minds on the replay next Saturday :) Today the pressure was all on Hibs at home. Let's see how the gudgies cope with the pressure next week with everybody expecting them to win. Hibs after a replay like I said, and 3 points for the Caley Jags next week.
  5. Aye, meaning ICT. County only have a couple of scalps in the CIS. Diddy cup, diddy team :) I hope Hibs win after a replay and pens.
  6. Been out all night, great news :) :) :)
  7. We were in front of the dude too, he must lead from the back
  8. Gutted. As soon as they got one back you could see it coming. Feckin huge deflection and trickled in. Mind you three of them backed off Harkins and let him get a shot in. Also the first one led from a free kick that was never a foul. It was Sanchez came on, not Eagle. Good noisy support though.

    Sanchez

Must admit I've hardly managed any home games this season but our away form has been pretty good, including Sanchez. Cannae understand the amount of moaning there is, maybe if I saw more home games it would be different.
  10. Haven't had time to read all the posts BUT the problem is with the clubs who get 3 home fixtures a season against the ugly sisters, not the twins of evil themselves. The OF pretty much sell out every week anyway.
  11. The Mantis

    Sanchez

I agree with that man Stan.
  12. Yes there was a campaign back in 2006. Here's the Scottish response:

    Wyness

Denzil was always a confidence player though - after a year or so rotting on St Midden's bench he's probably rock bottom. I do know that he came on as sub a year ago at Love St and pretty much destroyed us.
  14. It's no racist to me but the pettiness makes me cringe a bit.
  15. That wee weasel does that every week anyway. Even when they're top.
  16. Remember we used to have a guy on here who would argue black was white, and once had a classic quote that "no way Dons fans are obsessed with the past". His username........ Goteborg83
  17. You'll have to win this one without me folks. Always love a trip to Stark's Park, what with the large cheap double malt of the month in Stark's Bar and the barmaids wi their lungs hingin oot. Taking Mrs Mantis to Brussels, well Charleroi anyway, so I'll just miss the game by about half an hour to catch check in. Just as bad, Charleroi are playing Anderlecht just about the time we're touching down
  18. When was he relevant like?
  19. Sorry Chibs, I must have left it logged in and errrr..... Charlie Bannerman posted.
  20. Interesting point actually. If I remember correctly the Scottish Cup draw is done with the clubs in alphabetical order, right? So if we beat Killie we're still in the same place in the draw and we get the tims. Whereas in the CIS, it's seeded so the draw would have been different. We're seeded below St Mirren while Killie are seeded above them.
  21. First link doesn't seem to work Wyness. But they're just repeating the myth. He didn't sit on the ball.
  22. Not in that game (I watched the whole game a couple of years ago on DVD). At one point though he puts his foot on it, gestures to McCreadie to come over for it, then walks away :( As Stevie says, wee Bud Johnston did make a habit of things like that.
  23. That's quality that is.
  24. :021:   Reminds me of the boss when I had a paper round. We called him the count because that's what he was (almost) :023:
  25. I agree with that Manfer guy. It never really struck me till the other day, wandering up the road at the end of the day, trying to forget how shyte it is having to work for a living. One Saturday in August 94 we're all queuing up at the Caley Park to see Arbroath and thinking how we're going to have to get used to paying four quid at the gate instead of two now we're in the big leagues. A mere five and a half years later we're taking 5000 fans down to stuff the tims at parkheid. Sure, celebrate away. Maybe make this the last time, but who the feck cares.
