  1. Never mind Dumbarton jumping above ICT, Falkirk would need to jump above ICT as well, with a game less as well as a much poorer goal difference.
  2. McLaughlin, was at County briefly. He seemed to be feigning injury in the second half. Collapsed in a heap but in slow motion it appears Oakley never touched him.
  3. Laurence, that’s bizarre. Dumbarton probably need to beat us twice so why would they be parking the bus? Also disrespectful to Brechin who have no pressure now they’re officially down.
  4. Absolutely. Clear MoTM. Also I'm willing to swallow a bit of humble pie regarding his partner Gary Warren who has been excellent the last couple of games I've seen.
  5. I heard about these Lisburn Lions. They moved them to Belfast Zoo to stop them roaming the streets at night.
  6. I’m in Madreed right now and saw Ronaldo score 4 last Sunday but I’ve chartered a helicopter which will land in the centre circle at 1600 hrs in time for Oakley’s day of days. Viva la tap in.
  7. Nah, not in the Wyness class
  8. Took about 5 seconds to find Caley 1-0 Nairn County in 1889 in the Qualifying Cup, followed by 10-0 after a Nairn protest.
  9. You could have something there. When the teams came out I had the bbc site on my phone as I was wondering who was no 33. He was only listed as a sub. I had a quick look around the other players and when I glanced back at my phone the page had refreshed and he was listed as starting.
  10. Spot on. Vigurs did ok but a needless foul cost us the game as the Pars were no great shakes apart from a wee spell second half. Chalmers is just an awful footballer. Oh- Ryan Esson!
  11. I’ll be there. Assuming this Tuesday doesn’t turn out like the last few
  12. You can probably get a stand if you ask nicely.
  13. Oh well, another Tuesday night in the house then.
  14. I liked big Doumbouya too. Mind you it was obvious from that first game at Pittodrie that he played as if he was towing a caravan.
  15. Dougie McDonald effectively gifted Celtic the points that day, and yet those ungrateful scamps forgot all about poor Dougie’s helping hand a few years later when ‘Dougie Dougie-gate’ and their graceless chairman led to the referee strike.
  16. Uncle Roy cutting it a bit fine this year given that we’re into March. We sacked Brewster in early January and even the improvement in form under Butcher wasn’t enough. You wonder who he’s got lined up to take on the job of getting 3 points off PTFC on Saturday to lift them off the bottom. Otherwise the interview process would waste another couple of weeks with only 10 matches left. I don’t see them getting higher than 11th place but that would probably save them.
  17. Everybody reckons McDiarmid.
  18. Big discussion over on p&b over the venue for the final. Seems the Binos are at home on the Saturday.
  19. Simple - Glasgow is much bigger than Belfast which is only about the size of Aberdeen, 300000 or so and about double that with the surrounding area. Greater Glasgow is about 1.2 million. Only Linfield and Glentoran can draw over 2000. Ballinamallard are in the premiership but are in a village of 1300, less than Whitehill Welfare in the Lowland League. Warrenpoint is about the same as Brechin. Linfield may have some full timers though.
  20. I was at Lossie 4 Rothes6 (!) today, which featured on-loan Logan Johnstone and Dale Gillespie on opposing sides.
