    Hayes to return?

he wants to live in inverness once hes finnished with footie
  2. I dont think he will be too difficult to replace
  3. Yeah....would be a useful addition to the squad.
  4. Yeah.....i thought it was Martin too the second i saw it. I think he played a season or two for ICT did he? The only ICT player that has come close to filling that "hard man" role, has been Paul Cherry
  5. What was the link between muir Of Ord and Clach?
  6. There we go, cast iron proof that Mr Bannerman is wrong about the number of refuseniks. I mean if someone lives in Inverness now, then it goes without saying that they must have followed, without necessarily attending, either Caledonian or Thistle 20 years ago mustn't they. All im saying is, crowds SHOULD be a lot healthier than they are but the merger turned a hell of a lot more people OFF ICT than just those who attended games in the Old Highland League. Caley Used to get BIGGER crowds in the Highland Leage (back in the day), when inverness was about 1/3rd of the population, than ICT gets in the SPL. Thats a FACT!! Fecks sake, in 'those' days there was feck all else to do in Inverness, and men did not go shopping or do anything with their families, to compare attendances now to 45 years ago is stupid. oh....is it only men who go to football? I Know PLENTY of local men who dont go shopping, or do family things, or go to the pub nor the movies or nothing else, but they go to football on a saturday afternoon. Problem is, its not ICT they go to watch

  8. I wonder how much the stadiums location accounts for lack of support. It would have been interesting to see attendances had the stadium been slap bang in the middle of a community. As far as locals go, many ex Caley "fans", Many of whom never attended many games, if any...but since the merger, many many of these people, have changed allegience to Ross County. I see it all the time on my facebook. Like last weekend....the amount of Invernessians revelling in County beating ICT

    The inquest

As far as my last post goes, yeah, we have done well this season. We can only beat what is put in front of us. BUT.....i would say....this seasons SPL standard has been pretty unremarkable. As poor a stanrd in the whole league as i can remember there having been, since pre "Souness Revolution" yrs I think we will be doing amazing to emulate this seasons feat in the future

    The inquest

I think it could well be a long time before we find ourselves with a chance of landing european footie again. On the face of it, we have had a good season, but the bigger picture is, its more a case of a lot of teams coming down to our standard more than ICT raising their game. I fully expect Aberdire, Dundee Utd, Hibs and Hearts to be better teams next season (assuming Hearts dont get relegated)
  11. Well...thats it.........yes we had our highest ever finnished...but to throw European footie away, in the manner they did, is HIGHLY disappointing!
  12. Far too many passengers on that pitch today. Again....ICT bottle it on the big stage, and get exactly what they deserved...ie...NOTHING!
  13. Lets look on the bright side.....its unlikely we can put in a second half performance as poor as what we have seen so far.....................surely
  14. Got what we deserved there!!
  15. Heres hoping come the end of the game.....ICT will have secured Europa League footie. On a slight tangent here.....anyone see Macgregor on Sky Sports interview, trying to claim the Highland Football Academy as their own. PILLOCK!!
  16. cant say this moves suprises me. Good luck to him in the future
  17. Our chances are good for europe. All the real pressure is on St Johnstone who need to WIN. Nothing less will do
  18. I think the game was originally slotted in for Sky Sports 4, but it appears to have been moved to Sky Sports 1. Thats was the case when i checked at the weekend....BEFORE the game was announced.
  19. i used to have a soft spot for Man City, but i find that diluting as time goes on. They have just become another coprorate BEAST and the attitude of those in power sucks big time. Still that said.......they got a bit to go before they catch up with Blackburn Rovers.....there lies a case of a bunch of deluded idiots!
  20. As the title says
  21. Anyone else notice GMS distinct lack of celebration when he scored the winning goal on saturday. very subdued indeed
  22. Well...it has to be said...that yes...this will have been our best season ever in terms of league placings. BUT.....you would have to say that if we miss out on Europe, it does take the shine of the achievment, as European football was there for the taking. Only have ourselves to blame if we fail
  23. Not sure if its been posted anywhere else on here...but the game is live on Sky on Sunday. It was a no brainer really!
  24. I would literally feel sick if county got into europe at our expense.
  25. trust me...it was nothing to do with the Utd Goalie having a good game
