  1. The shop 'Wifeys' are all ICT fans and therefore attend many away games. Not sure it's relevant. They will obviously be really disappointed that the shop is closing and they are losing their jobs, but I suspect they will carry on supporting the team. In fact once they get over this decision and find alternative employment, they will enjoy match days without having to work. Oh and I'm not sure that they will appreciate being WIFEYS. lol
  2. Not sure if you decided to make the journey yesterday YaBoy, but there was definitely more than 1 person shouting abuse. The guys were great and sung for the whole 90 minutes. The noise from our support was clearly heard by the media and mentioned a few times. Great atmosphere, great support, few numpties.
  3. Sorry Clacher I don't agree. Most of our players will have allegiances elsewhere. The abuse directed at Kyle was way out of order
  4. This is being discussed on another couple of threads, but I think we should let this one run for a bit. Hopefully the offenders will be big enough to come on and apologise. I have said it elsewhere, but it was completely unnecessary and spoilt what was otherwise a fantastic support. Kyle is an up and coming keeper and like him or not he is an ICT player and shouldn't be subjected to abuse like that.
  5. There was indeed a Pars fan in the Caley support, but as his partner is an ICT fan we let him off. He upset a couple of people when he jumped up as they nearly scored, but they all kissed and made up and there were no more problems after that.
  6. That was more than 'some stick' as you put it. Regardless of what may or may not have happened the abuse was inappropriate. I don't think that there is any excuse for it.
  7. East End Inn was excellent. Staff very friendly. I would happily go back there next time we are playing in Dunfermline. Legends is an excellent venue, I think we could learn a few ideas from their commercial team. Some great ideas and events advertised. All in all we were made very welcome. Good to catch up with Buffy and Groovy Dave too. x
  8. I'll second that - great day. Good to catch up with you both
  9. The chants aimed at Kyle were the only negative part of the day. Really disgusting. He is an ICT player and as such deserves our support. Where he comes from or who he fell out with had nothing to do with it. The stewards and police were excellent today and allowed us to get right behind the team so it's a real shame that a minority of fans chose to abuse one of our own players. A number of people around me didn't realise that the abuse was aimed at Kyle, but Kyle was aware of it and it'll do nothing for his conifdence. Thanks guys for creating a fantastic atmosphere today, but please refrain from personal abuse.

  11. I'm on the bus.
  12. My understanding is that there will be a matchday shop, not sure of the venue though. Don't know if they will keep the portacabin or operate from within the stadium the way they did before
  13. Yes most definitely. Looks like Connie might not want to meet up with us, but I have just spoken to the East End in and told them to expect 40-50 people as I'm really not sure how many there will be. I know CaleyD's bus is going and a few more have said they will be there. If there are any large groups planning on joining us at the East End Inn if you can post here or PM me I can up the numbers if necessary. I think it's great to have 1 place to meet rather than everyone doing different things, it helps get an atmosphere going before the game and it's great to meet some more Internutters. Looking forward to it See you all on Saturday
  14. I'm much more than just sceptical, L_G... I was almost hit on the A9 not so long ago by someone who had momentarily dozed off at the wheel, causing his car to drift on to my side of the road... My hand on the horn was probably what woke that person up, as our cars passed a few inches apart. We've all experienced drowsieness at the wheel at some time or another... I'd say anyone who tries to shake it off and drive through it should be banned for life. Drunk drivers are probably less of a menace on the roads than those fighting to stay awake at the wheel. Like I say everyone is entitled to their beliefs. I might not be quite as 'in to it' as Scarlet (or indeed Feb 8th) but I do believe there is something out there. I also said I couldn't be bothered going into detail but I cetainly have never been drunk at the wheel, nor am I ever aware of falling asleep at the wheel. There are many times in my life where I have thought to do something quite randomly which has turned out to be very important. So I do believe in something - not even 100% sure what that is, but definitely something.
  15. Me it would seem :-)
  16. Scarlet There will always be the sceptics, but I actually agree with a lot of what you say. I have had a few near misses in the car where you know that someone somewhere stepped in to alert you of a danger. I don't have a problem with the non believers, as I would have been the biggest sceptic of them all. I have been convinced over the years that there is something/someone out there looking down on us. I have been told that my guardian angel is my mother's brother who died when he was young. The person who told me this had no knowledge of our family whatsoever. I could tell you a few stories, but I don't have the time or the inclination to do so. Suffice to know that I believe in 'something' and others don't which is their right. I do think that something will happen at some point to them where they will wonder if there is something in it. As IHE says who cares what the rights and wrongs or beliefs are, but if it works for you then that's great. Scarlet you enjoy your association with the spirit world and the comfort it gives you and I'm sure that manfer, johnboy etc will carry on with their sceptism until something happens in their lives which will make them wonder if there is actually some sense in what you say.
  17. According to the official site this game is just an additional pre season friendly See here
  18. I think by containing all fans to the main stand we won't have lost money, but we certainly won't have made much.
  19. Ha ha - what was that we were saying about school holidays. lol
  20. Happy with that Our neighbours are at home to Hamilton, that should be an interesting game
  21. Terry Butcher has indicated to the Supporters Trust that he would like us to organise another similar event, maybe towards the end of the season, where it will be during the day with a proper full training sesson. Otherwise it would be much the same format. It was a pleasure to work with the club to pull it together in a short space of time, so thanks to them for all their help.
  22. Stratford Much better game today. Real fun times. Rossco showed some of his superman qualities. New players did well, real team effort. Young Kyle Allison did well in goal, although he didn't have much to do. If we can play like this on a regular basis I think we'll do okay for the season. 1 point though, on the way home I was listening to BBC and one of the pundits suggested we would do well because other teams have to make that terrible journey up the A9 to play us. No mention of the fact that we will have to make the journey every other week. B)
  23. HT: 2 - 0 FT: 3 - 0 1st Scorer ICT: Sanchez 1st Scorer Opp: No scorer Crowd: 1111
  24. There is always a demand for the training kit and track suits, but it has been a few years since we have had any available for sale. Goalie tops are another item that people regularly ask about and these were definitely great sellers in the past. There was only a small order and they sold out quickly. The young kids who like to play in goals with their pals or their school or street league teams would rather a goalie top than an ordinary top. I believe that the club are missing out on an important revenue stream by not providing these items for sale
  25. Welcome to Caleythistleonline. Looking forward to Dunfermline?
