  1. And by a country mile
  2. If Raith win their one game in hand, as they should do on paper*, then they will be equal with Dunfermline, one point behind us. No more out of it than we are. * blah blah
  3. If I were a neutral the first three words would say ICT were excellent but then you spoil it with negativity for the remainder of the sentence. You are not a neutral, and I am unsure what your point is.
  4. The bloody Quality St was going round like a ferris wheel next to where I was sitting. NOw that's what I call a party. What really galls with this was the way that the club trumpeted it = pess releases, photos et al. Hurray, now you will be paying more and getting less! I'm out.
  5. A easy win, they made us look a lot better than we were. Waited for the second half equaliser, but thankfully in never came. The Raith goalkeeper was noteworthy - were it not for a couple of top drawer saves, we could have won by a lot more. As it was a lot of the hunger dissipated in the 2nd. Rooney took his goal very well, looked like a tight angles, but he still managed to beat the keeper and the defender. Get him parcelled up with a contract soon. Esson will insist on punching more than he should and as we saw in the final this doesnt always work out well for him. Lionel was good going forward and is still very entertaining, but a couple fo hairyt moments. I really think Munro has gone stale and will only get better when he leaves ICT. Buuly had a good game as did Proc expecially going forward. Duff played well; passed, tackled and you would be hard pushed to say that he hadn't been here for a couple of months - also nice to see the receding hair brigade getting their own hero. Ody also was superb going forward and has pace and intelligence. He is another one we want to keep. Hayes had his moments today too, but seemed to fade a bit in teh second. BUt yes, what the other poster says, Imrie tries so hard, but will insist onnot doing the simple teamly thing. I watched as near the end, he rode a tackle then insisted on having a shot as he was falling over, of course it ended up in rowZ, again. A simple thorugh ball, could have paid dividends. Good, and indeed essential win, against poor opposition, but can't help thinking we will get found out against Dundee. It really is theirs to losse, and we, like all other title pretenders, must depend on them dropping points, the likeleihood of which is receding by the week. 2nd place would be nice though. Ps Cox had as good a game as Ive seen him since he first came and yes, what is the nacho novo moment that Rooney had.
  6. Welcome our new caterers! Teas - 20p up, no improvement in quality. All 5 macaroni pies sold out by 2.50 in the away pie stall. Prices up 20p. Staff brought up from Edinburgh. Hurrah for the new regime!
  7. I thought he played very well, and seemed to read other peoples games a lot better than some who have been there for months/years. He will stir things up nicely for the month.
  8. Yes, I am sure that the millions of TV viewers would be very enlightened and stimulated by the fact that he manages a mid-table First Division team from the Nprth of Scotland. The caption is designed to create identification for the greatest number.
  9. Wind-up, Stevico. Don't bite. One says this and one says that...Meanwhile the folk who know the truth keep schtum while we bicker like rats.
  10. Contract according to FIFA are not grey, they are back or white. Money is owed or it is not. If the SPL contract = good. Then ICT conduct of the transfer = bad.
  11. Can I therefore accept from the highlighted area in your above posting that, as a repeat customer and to deal fairly and squarely with you, you feel you are entitled to the name of the ICT official, or legal practitioner, who was party to the signing of said document? I feel that you and I are not communicated very efficiently, AF. Entitled no, desirous, yes. And also the story. btw I see that Mike Smith has left the club.
  12. It's a long way from being the only issue that's dragging the club down! We are going over it again, Georgeios, because no-one has given us an honest definitive account, of what happened. As you say, there are other issues, Johnboy, but I believe this is a good clear place to start. The sad thing is that a number of our board are successful businessmen, and therefore should know their way round a contract (or if not, have access to someone who does). What a pity that they do not seem to think it as important at the club. You are right, HtG. As Scotty mentions such oversights have made us look like clowns, again. Ross County were better run than us even when we were in the SPL. But who is responsible for the Marius mistake.
  13. It's a long way from being the only issue that's dragging the club down! We are going over it again, Georgeios, because no-one has given us an honest definitive account, of what happened. As you say, there are other issues, Johnboy, but I believe this is a good clear place to start.
  14. To repeat myself again... The fact that ICT dispute the terms of the transfer means that either the contract or their negotaiting behaviour was incorrect. To the tune of a lot of money. Scotty's scenario may be correct but, as he says, it is only supposition. All this gentleman's agreement stuff - see Pele's contract, see Brewter's first contract. Amateur Hour, they got off with it these times, but not third time. Again supposition, we need the facts. As for "right to know" AF, you are absolutely right. The documents belong to a private PLC (whatever) and as a non-shareholder, I have no right to be privvy to the detail. However, I am a repeat customer of the business, and as such they should be trying to hold on to my goodwill, by dealing fairly and squarely with me. As you well know, custom has fallen off, we have less money for players, and will continue to do so, resulting in further loss of on-the-pitch performance. To find out the cause of some of this cashflow might help restore some of that goodwill.
  15. Marius' story. If we had a copy of the FIFa ruling then all we would need would be an official statement from the board about their side of things.
  16. And if that ain't back-of-the-fag-packet stuff, then I would like to know what is! The question we must ask is, whose fag packet? We should be told!!!!
  17. I think the bold bit answers it all. Nothing, zilch, nada. There was an error on the contract, evidenced plainly by the fact that ICT sought to dispute the outcome. Therefore the interpretations of what was and was not permissible under the contract diverge. What we must demand to know is who, why what and so on? Someone somewhere got it badly wrong. Who?
  18. Not sure what your point is beneath the layers of irony, AF. However, my minimal understanding of legal practice tells me that solicitors "take instruction" ie you tell them what you want and they frame it for you. As we know however, many a slip between lip and cup; variables in malfunction could include such factors as; the accomplishment of the solicitor, their knowledge of that specific legal environment and, of course, the feasibility of the request. As I said I have no opinion, I am asking a question. As a season ticket holder, my continued enthusiasm/spend for ICT depends on getting answers.
  19. No idea mate, that is why I am asking the question. What is true is that UEFA did not interpret it the same way as our board did, and that is not good.
  20. I really don't know what I want davie, I know something has happened to our club and that I don't like where we are. I only know what has been said about situations at the club on this forum. I am not in the internal circle either on here or at the club itself. All I know is what is allowed to be posted on these forums and what has been released by quite a secretive club. There are posters on here who are quite vocal and there are many angles to any story which is reported within these pages, which ones should be trusted? Which discarded as nonsense? If there is to be a movement pressing for incremental change, why should I join in that push? What makes any of us who post here think that we are qualified enough to decide that the guys running the club are not doing the best possible job? The way the Marius "money outstanding" fiasco has been handled would indicate that someone behind a desk is not at the top of their game. We should be demanding to find out who.
  21. A good place to start is to ask for a full and clear official explanation of the Marius fiasco. This is the nub of everything, and may prove and interesting catalyst for any subsequent claims and demands. I will certainly think twice about giving my hard-won cash next year to any administration that can't even manage a contract negotiation.
  22. I watched the very exciting QOS fan highlights - didn't he do well. A lot more evocative of a proper match than some of the telly stuff. Just popped in to say how hacked off I am getting with Russel Duncan's ability to play fair and shut the flip up. Early on he was batching at the ref. Why? What did he hope to achieve? He drove himself up a height with his repeated gobbing, then got in another pointless fracas, though at least he didnt throw himself on the ground this time, though, I understand he would have been well justified in so doing, on this occassion. I am a fan of Duncan, I understand the limitations of his game, but think he gives his lot to the team, unlike several others. However, he must now be starting as a marked man. His gobsmanship has cost us dear, and we are left, again, with a patched up side. And don't get me started on Foran...
  23. When he comes back, and that day may not be too far off, this will be forgiven.
  24. Never say never again. Remember what Brew did for Bazza. We have many players, who are just starting or are in a career watershed and could do with some healthy training habits. Black's comments, as I recall, were part of his leaving debrief, (or was it Brews?). And while there is such a thing as over training, and I think this can have a cumulative effect over the season, I think ICT are a long way off that.
