I think "Bouncebackability" would be a good one for next season too. I will pledge a ?5 to whoever gets it done.

Where could I see the highlights of games?
Wonderful stuff Scotty, just like being there. That third goal was so precisely worked, a thing of beauty, against a flatfotted defence. Also observation, Eric is gettings some stick, and I know that highlights can lie, but he seemed to have three attempts and several good passes in the first half. Why aren't we seeing that.

Eric.....redressing the balance
Trry is persisting with Eric, because he knows he is a technically proficient player around whom he can base a reserve striking system. He needs a few tweaks to his game is all.

Cup or the League?
County are crowing about beating Celtic, but next season we will beat them twice.

Top of the League and your no
I thought it worth bumping this one up, as a preventative measure from a tinkstorm.

QOS -V- ICT : Post-Match Thread
Great result for TnJ and the team. Three points closer. Keep up the great work.

2-1 ma baby

So which result is bigger?
Ours, of course, but well done to County for putting paid to the managership aspirations of "Irish Gentleman" and vile cheat Lennon. Two problems, one there will be an England 1966 effect for a while, even more so, if they win it. Two, this will justify all the Huns who saw us, and now County, as the "Rangers of the North". The blue strips dont help this pish.

How long will their dream last?
With that, Martin, good on County. They won't be in the SPL, but it would be nice for them to have some sweet memories of this season. I hope they manage to emulate our feat of 10 years ago. Forza Highlands!

Agree 100% I would go so far as to say we would have stayed up. I have no wish to start casting aspersions, but am I the only one who finds the whole "Butcher caused relegation by x, y and z." thing, a little bit OLD?

Are County and QoS now out of the title push?
Pars are already out of it. The best they can do is win all games and reach 61 pts. They would also need to get +22 goals to go above us. I totally agree with you but on paper they're still in it until it is mathematically impossible for them to win. In the words of the great Chic Young, "don't you mean arithmetically impossible?" haha Yeah. I always liked that one.

Spotted in the National, with John Doc, pre the last County clash. His hair was perfect.

GD
Put like that DJS it is very heartening, and County need to get 14 (FOURTEEN) more points goals than us between now and the end of the season.

Cappielow Smileymometer
I think Eric expects too much time on the ball mostly, but his goals of late have been crackers. He must come under the category "luxury player", but definitely worth having. Yes, IHE you are right, Hayes does fade in and out. By the end of the second half, when he is playing at home right in front of our seats, I am surprised that he has any energy to have a run. He usually tries to do something, but his mark of fatigue is that he runs out of ideas, steam or both. Rather than completing a run, he will bury the ball in the corner or try for a rebound throw in. But he does have a high work rate.

If it all comes down to Ayr.....
hahaha not a chance

Are County and QoS now out of the title push?
I would? A fantastic result for us as, along with the Pars, they will have little to play for when they play us now. Winner! QOS, Yes. County, No.

Morton -V- ICT : matchnight thread
I have no idea what that means. A great win and a great draw for our opponents. I am assuming nothing yet, though.

Sanchez
I think the last few games have shown that Eric is a goal grabber, if given the right ball. I am now beginning to think that, despite their fighting for a place, they are very different players. Comparing them is apples and oranges. Keep em both, I sez.

Raith Video Highlights
As metioned elsewhere, I would have said the Rooney foul was inside the box, though he is becoming quite adept at getting a wee bit more "air" when tackled. He did it in the second half. Ody's goal was not as off-side as I thought. He was as even with the defender, as many others have been this season, but I have seen them given. His chip over was lovely and his finish superb. This is what he is good at; needs room to play. Foran's second was a peach!

Raith Video Highlights
This is fabulous. Smooth streaming, sharp images. Well done to the makers. On reflection... Ody wasn't as offside as I thought, but got the benefit of the doubt. Took it so well chipping the keeper. The foul on Rooney was inside the box, if we go by point of contact. Foran's second was a peach. Would it be good to close this thread and put a sticky link up top, or else you are just going to get idiots turning it into a time lagged, matchday thread. ...oops

ICT -V- Raith Rovers : matchday thread
This is correct, also Proctor pushed into midfield. Some flexibility there.

Daniel Stratford
*points at self* Ten minutes to go and I started shiverin, and it wasn't from the cold... or the drink. I thought Stratford played better than I had seen him before. He is no Russell Duncan, mind.
-
Sanchez
I have seen Sanchez play well, but it has been a while ago. I don't think he is part of TnJ's main plan; he doeesn't have aplace where he can fit into the team comfortably. Having said that, I would have him start instead of Eric, and bring on Ody as a fast supersub.

ICT -V- Raith Rovers : matchday thread
My initial thought is that they took their eye of the ball. Gaping lack of constant concentration. This team can win the league if they stay focussed. They have the skill, the determination and the organisation. They just need to keep the mind on the game, which they didnt; at 0-0 and at 3-1. A good team doesn't become a bad team, and from 6 clean sheets to losing 3 goals is down to one thing: the absence of Duncan. As many posters have noted, he has been immense recently, but what a gap he leaves. I was pleasantly surprised by Stratford, though. Cox continues to improve and showed a lot of guts. Black marks for both Proctor and Eric today though. Gold stars for Rooney, Golly, Hayes, Rosco, but most of all MOM Foran; guts, skill and a bit of flair for the unexpected. He's got the lot. Looking positively, if they hadn't lost the 3 goals then they wouldn't have had to show off, by getting the last minute winner. Lotsa grit, and that is what wins leagues. As noted Eric was 5 yards off-side, but finished very well, when deep down we thought he was going to **** it up. Rooney's goal was a big surprise, he had a tight angle, two defenders, and a goalie, but still managed to find the net. I will look forward to seeing that. I didn't see Foran's second, as I was complaining about Rosco being bundled to the ground. Looking forward to that one too. Great result, but, generally, a poor performance. I thought I was going to have to go to A and E on the way home. Be still my beating heart.
