So, did you feel tough swearing at the lady? The one that is so high and mighty? What are you getting at? Why are we being critisised for giving the club support and when we dont give the club support we are still critisised! Its a lose-lose situation for us. Thanks for your comment.

Out Now Butcher !
from memory we've had 4 shots on target since april, not sure how many of those were today but i'd guess maybe hayes got 1 We had a lot of shots on target. Their goalie was waaay busier than Esson. It says something about our finishing that none of them went in, especially in the 1st half.

Anyone else think Foran is P@sh?
Remember Barry Robson here... I think Foran looks good, works hard, but doesn't acheive much. Playing him in a different way might acheive something, but of he wants 20 goals this season, as I do, he better make a blooming start.

Steve Paterson's phone number?
The only reason you would want Pele's phone number was to phone him to tell him his line lost. This will NEVER happen.

ICT -V- QOS : matchday thread
Well I'm going to pee in the wind and say that that was the best first half, Ive seen for quite a while, we seemed to be changing wings and moving the ball very well. Eagles, however, is not a first choice anything, and when he came on Imrie showed how to work. I never once saw Eagles tackle, a luxury playes and not even a good one. Lets hope DI starts. Hayes was great, worked hard off the ball and was alwayes looking for something. Sanchez, though capable of some good stuff, must now be rested. He was shocking, though Rooey seemed to acheive very little when he came on. And I am sorry, but for me Foran, flashes about but doesnt actually acheive anything. How many crosses went in in the first half? How many were wasted? All of them. The difference between QOS and us was that they knew how to finish. Duncan has never been able to pass a ball, and like the others, thinks that skying a ball means having a shot. THis is training ground stuff! Get it sorted. Cox was quiet, but Granty, first half alone, was my MOM. Calm collected and everywhere, just like the old days. Bulvitis was unreliable, as was Rosco, but at least he will improve. Esson, as usual, did well. 2nd half QOS seemed to have had a talking to, and showed us how to fight. For most of the half, I thought we might sneak a winner, then this board's mood would be a very different place. But just like at the Partick game a few minutes lack of concentration, and bang bang out go the lights. I really dont care if TerrynJune go, but cant see it happening till Xmas, at the soonest. They too will be expensive to sack. Things may turn around, but I doubt, it. But remember that it was a nine game losing run, that saw Brewster away, we are nowhere near that. We wont get relegated, but hey, that may even be worse.

Alba cup final tickets
Yeah, that would be great, lets hope that no "quiet" fans turn up and spoil the game for the "noisy" ones! The club would love the turnout!

Is Golabeck the answer?
Can we drop talk of last season's Falkirk game, and who is to blame for what. It's done. We were relegated.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Happy ones, Don. Keep up the good work. Have you asked for a new shirt?

the sending off which was deserved
We got a very clear look at it from the mainstand. Astonishing! He should have walked. My Werther's Originals went everywhere!

ICT V Ross County : matchday thread
Barrowman would at least have scored the two chances that Rooney had at the end of the game. Barrowman wouldn't have had any chances like Rooney did towards the end, coz he would still be stading stationary scratching his erse. Thought Rooney put in a decent few mins after coming on, him and Foran were chasing down every ball, and putting their defence under loads of pressure, not letting them get a foot on the ball at all. Rooney's 'chance' came from good work to create it. Agree with CTID, there are some on here who will just gurn about anything they can. As CaleyD said, I'll take an ugly win over a pretty defeat, especially over our biggest rivals. Keep the results coming like this and then hope that the performances follow. OK he cocked them up, but Rooney took more chances a minute after coming on than the other two did in the rest of the game. </exaggeration for effect> Rooney is deffo no 3 striker.

ICT V Ross County : matchday thread
I think any criticism should be given a rest this week, as we got a deserved win. Eagles took his goal well, but it was Esson again who saved the day. Top marks for Hayes, and yes, Sanchez did a lot of things right too. Looking forward to see if we get a run of confidence from it. Lessgo ICT!

Boycott the Gypo Game
Gadgie is derivative of Gaijin, as I understand it, meaning as you say, "Non-gypsie" There is another word, more used in England, is it "knocker" or something. The English also use Didicoi, or Dids for Roma. And certainly in Cornwall, they do not have a good reputation. There was a cracking court case a few years ago, I might have the link somewhere, about a brawl in The Mallard, between too young men, drink and women were involved but it seems the spark was the use of the word "wuddie". "Don't call me a wuddie,I'm no a wuddie! YOu're a wuddie" "No am no, you are and yer ma..." etc etc Wuddie the journalist pointed out was a local term for traveller. I think this must derive from someone who lives in the wood. Try that one instead and see what Mr. Smith, the Bobbies and the PC Dingwall crowd make of it!

Boycott the Gypo Game
:( :D This is generally true. Also nb that the Scottish traveller hates to be associated and confused with the Roma, ie gypsies, branding them as crooked, dirty and unreliable. AFAIK the correct name for those itinerant folk is "gypsy travellers" as specified by the Scottish government. I fully understand the discussion about their being Scotland's forgotten other. BUT and this backs up Scotties comments about context, if travelling folk are correctly called "gypsies", how the hell can it be an insult? We know that RC supporters are not, on the whole gypsies, so any usage is metaphorical. Also any connections between Romania and Roma are spurious. Roma trace their origins to India, according to latest thinking, and the word, gypsy, is an adaptation of Egyptian, where it was once thought they came from. Scottish travellers, btw, have a fascinating history too, not least in the USA, where they are, or were, early C20, the byword for cheating and meanness. All very confusing and interesting, but heavy handedness does nothing to clear it up.

Item Inquiry
Me too! I went down on the Saturday, and got pished in the pub instead, then decided to go midweek. Biggest mistake of my football life. The 3-2 game here was a belter though. We need a performance like that on Saturday.

Diddy Cup or not, whats your view
Beating County is an absolute necessity. Winning the cup would be a fantastic morale boost, which is what we need more than anything just now.

The Andy Barrowman Thread
But, as a die-hard Tim he was quite happy to go to manage The Seagulls.

Time To Practice Penalties
Yeah, I saw that quote as well in the Courier and it worried me. Penalties are one of the areas that can be practiced and done well. Money/goals for nothing if and when you need them. HOwever, I wouldn't be surprised if that was just a wee bit of gamesmanship for Sunday, in the unlikely event it will come to that. Get intae them travelling people!

What could of been
I wouldn't worry about him, he only played a minor role. :D Thanks for clarification. Did a great assist at the w/e. Sometimes I think about those who went last season, and still can't believe we got rellied.

Boycott the Gypo Game
Or people that maybe didn't realise what the reality of being back in the first was likely to be and are looking for a way out? There have been a few posters on different threads alluding to "the final straw" and "not going back"... At one point on Saturday, just after the 3rd goal went in, I spent a second imagining what my season ticket would look like describing a graceful arc from my hand to fall at TBs feet. But hey always tomorrow
