  1. What the **** was that all about at the end?? It looked like everyone was lined up on the half way line ready for a last all out charge up the field. Presumably restart, back to Fraser, everyone races up there, huge hoof up the field, hope for anything. What does Rankin do?? Tries to beat Boruc from the half way line....bizzarre :017: :017: :017:
  2. Why are we conceding so many this season? By my reckoning that's 5 games now we've lost or drawn due to a last gasp goal against us(Motherwell, Aberdeen x2, Celticx2). That's 6 league points, and a cup semi lost. Our defence is normally so reliable, so why do we seemingly switch off right at the death? Is it as simple as us not being as fit a team as we were under Brewster? Surely that can be easily rectified. What worries me is that it keeps happening. After the second or third time you'd think the team would be fully aware of playing to the final whistle. Seemingly not. Not sure what the answer is, but it's fecking depressing :007: :007: :007:
  3. Black was outstanding today, and his substitution was the turning point. Absolutely brilliant from the wee man, and easily the MOTM for me. I find it hard to believe he asked to come off, as he looked well fecked off when he was hooked. If he didn't ask to come off then it was a massive mistake by CC. And as sickening as the ending was, you'd have thought we might've learn't something from the exact same thing thappening he other week. In fact, how many goals have we lost in the last 5 minutes this season?? There's something seriously wrong there because it's been plenty.
  4. Nope, not paying those kids prices so we're away to the pub to watch it.
  5. He was hardly outstanding, he was just less gash than usual! If I remember rightly, he spent the first 20 minutes on his arse, a result of being easily brushed off the ball every time it came near him. After that he was ok, hardly anything special.
  6. If Hart IS fit I'd have him in for McBain.
  7. Feck me, I'm going to have to agree with you here HC :001: Good team aye, I'm just worried CC might want to give Rory one more chance!!
  8. Absolutely. I know Dargo can't be forced to stay, but I'd hope that every single avenue is being used in persuading him to stay. Even if that means breaking our 'famous' wage structure, we can't afford NOT to have a player like Dargo. For those who say give Rory more time.......he's had plenty. And some people keep pointing out that Dargo took ages to get going....implying Rory will do the same. From memory, Dargo's problems at the start were simply being unable to buy a goal. He was actually playing extremely well, just not scoring. Rory's different in that he can't score and his general play is ermmm...crap. Other than that, like others, I agree the midfield needs re-jigging. Blackie, on his day, is head and shoulders above any of our other midfielders in the skill stakes. So why the feck is he still sat on the bench!!! Marcus certainly sounded like he added something yesterday, so how about giving him a start(not next week obviously). We're obviously playing poorly at the moment. I hope CC can see what the vast majority of fans can see and makes the necessary changes.
  9. Totally agree. I'd rather see ANYONE up front rather than Rory. Sorry, but the guy is *****. How many goes does he get before that fact is realised. And feck all this he's only 19. So what!! there's plenty of decent 19 YO's about, and it's bot like he's not had the experience. I used to think Bayne was pish, but compared to Rory he looks like Ronaldo!
  10. Sounds like we're playing crap :006: How many games will Rory get before CC realises he's *****??? (hopefully he'll go score now!) And in a game where we can't seem to string two passes together why is Blackie sat on the bench?
  11. Is it? Why? Why should this game generate any more money than the league game against them the other week? We got the additional TV money for that, plus we got to keep ALL the gate receipts, unlike this game where half those receipts will go to the opposition. If anything, I'd say the league game against them generates far more money for the club. Yet the club didn't take the stupid decision to remove the family section for that game.
  12. Spot on :025: :025: :025:
  13. Season ticket sales work both ways. Yes, they do make the games less expensive, and the deals are very good. But, many people(like myself) simply wouldn't be able to attend every game as a PATG supporter, because they couldn't afford it. And don't forget, the more games a family attends, the more they'll spend on merchandise, food, drinks etc, so some of that ticket price saving is recouped with every game the season ticket holders attend. And the club needs it's pre-season ticket sales to help it in it's financial planning for the coming season, that's why they desperately try to encourage people to buy their tickets as early as possible. Again, the club needs us when it's convenient. As said elsewhere, a football club, particularly ones like ours, should be at the heart of local communities, and not run in purely business terms. They need us as much as we need them. I get tired of hearing someone from the club bemoaning the fact that people aren't coming through the turnstyles. It doesn't take a business guru to figure out why that is. And it only takes a basic grasp of economics to see that a stadium filled with a crowd of low priced ticket supporters is more financially beneficial than a stadium half full with maximum priced ticket paying supporters. I find it hard to believe that a club of Celtics size would have been that stubborn in it's resistance to a Caley request for reduced ticket prices for a small section of it's supporters. Nope, to me this is Caley saying 'well, feck the kids who come along every week, we'll keep them out of this one 'cos we can make looooooooooooads of money'
  14. Why is it any bigger than when we sold out against them in the league? The importance of the game is, but the crowd numbers will still be the same. And any sell out at normal prices would provide the club with a decent return. Combined with the TV revenue..... This is our club fleecing it's fans for as much money as they can, safe in the knowledge that the game will sell out anyway. And if people like me can't afford it....tough, there'll be another two Celtic fans along in a minute, who're used to paying these prices anyway. Why have they taken away the family section for this game? Ok, there wasn't one for the Utd but at least they had the nerve to charge a lot less for kids then(£10). Kids make up a large portion of our crowds, they're our future supporters. Prices like these do nothing to encourage them along.
  15. If it was the price to pay for our new status then why aren't the prices the same as they were for the Urd game? The only reason the prices are so high is because of the opposition this time. If the board don't give a feck who's sitting in my seats, then why should I? As I said, the board know this game would sell out even if they gave the whole ticket allocation to Celtic, so why should they bother worrying about local interest. Sorry, but if this club wants to encourage fans, and promote itself as a family club to the local community, then charging a family £78(the cheapest 2 adult, 2 children prices) isn't the way to do it. The club has absolutely no right to complain about the failure of local people coming along and supporting their team when they do nothing to encourage them along. And no, I won't go spend £40 in the pub, I was just making a point.
  16. I know both clubs have to agree on the price, but this stinks of ICT saying 'What's that?? £17 the cheapest?? Aye, no bother.....you'll fill the ground on yer own anyway'. Why are there no family section concessions? Even if both clubs have to agree on the prices, ICT don't have to agree with what's proposed. If anything, surely being the home team gives you more power in these decisions? No doubt the ground will be full.....with Celtic fans.
  17. That's the North Stand concession prices for the Celtic game. :008: :008: :008: Well, feck that. For only the second time in two years I'll be missing a home game because I'm not paying £39 for myself and my kid to watch a game of football. And if the club have the cheek to come out with one of those 'oh, the people of Inverness never come out to support their team' statements they can go feck themselves. How on earth are they trying to encourage people to support their team with these prices? I predict a couple of thousand home fans and 5000 Celtic fans. So instead of ICT getting £40 it'll be the local pub getting it.
  18. Todays Courier has CC saying Dargo will be out longer than expected, and he won't be back until March. He's already saying he won't be fit for the Celtic game :007:
  19. ***** draw :007: :007: :007: Don't understand this 'we'll have to beat Celtic at some point' line. Not if they'd be drawn away at Hibs for instance...Hibs beat them, we wouldn't have to face them. And at least if we'd avoided them until the final then we'd have been certain of European football next season. Arse.
  20. Agreed Short discussion that.

    Stillie

Got to say, after he gave that ballboy a mouthful of abuse, I was impressed with his actions afterwards. I noticed the next time the ball went out, Stillie gave him the thumbs up and said thanks, and at the end of the game he went straight over to him and gave the wee lad his goalie gloves and had a few words with him. Just thought he deserved a :022:
  22. Anyone bar Celtic, or Hibs away. Partick at home would be ideal :022:
  23. That was absolutely dire :017: Still, we won! Russell's goal was a cracker, in fact, he was brilliant today. Hard to pick anyone else out, defence was solid, McBain actually took people on, Rankin was good again. Up front we were awful. Bayne and Rory just didn't work at all. Rory reverted to type....he was pish. Granted he did ok last week, but the boy simply isn't good enough. Why does he tire so quickly?? There were times when we broke and the ball was being held up because he was miles behind the play. Lets hope Dargo's back very soon. Oh, and Michael.....nice to see the confidence levels high, but there were a few heart stopping moments there! Excellent game though. Apart from Russells goal, the only other thing to get excited about was Roscoes run....one Pele would've been proud of :001:

    Rory

He DID have his best game yesterday, but considering what's gone before, that's hardly surprising. As I said elsewhere, he did improve the longer the game went on, and he did show some neat touches.....BUT, IMO he's got absolutely no pace, his first touch is shocking, and for a fairly big bloke he gets brushed off the ball far too easily. He also seems to tire extremely quickly. He always looks dead on his feet after about 30 minutes. He may well come good, but he's had plenty of chances. And while yesterday was an improvement I'm not convinced by him at all. I think we desperately need a new striker before the window closes.
  25. ....of your two main strikers, seemingly, picking up the exact same injury in two consecutive games???? Uncanny. It's not like it's a common injury either. And how come a dislocated shoulder takes upto 6 weeks to heal? 'Kinell, in my day we just popped it back in and got on with the game :023: Any more news on Denzils injury? How long will he be out?
