  1. But if you say we are replacing a Rangers reserve team reject and a player who couldn't get into a Championship side and was released a year before his contract ended it dosen't seem such a task to replace them does it? Thats what we signed when Andy and OTJ came on board.
  2. It is quite obvious in various sections of the Forum that many posters on here do not visit the away grounds. Several SPL clubs have only 3 stands open, several clubs (Celtic, Hearts, Hibs, Killie to name just 4 that I can think of just now) have no parking facilities for away fans, and the number of fans at St Johnstone are a disgrace to Perth which has a much higher population than Inverness. St Mirren also have a very poor following. ICT have plenty parking for all fans - the ground is easy to get to, both by car and on foot from bus/train station. What else does Dougal want? Why does this Forum only have "like this" and no "boo" tick box. "Perth which has a much higher population than Inverness " , really ? Perth approx. 45000 inverness approx 59000
  3. Compensation for what? Having the most successful season in the clubs history? Keep the pre-season to whatever the club can afford and for those who want the club to provide a holiday iternary for them........ why not come to the Highlands of Scotland and tour towns like Brora, Wick and Inverness and then travel to exotic Morayshire and visit Buckie, Banff and Elgin all of which have bars in which you can embarass yourselves.
  4. Just as it says on the tin...................Thank You. I have just witnessed a season that has given me pleasure and hope and I want to say thank you. Despite what some threads and posts seem to suggest, we have just seen the most successful season in our short but eventful history and even though finances were very tight the management team put together a side I was proud to support.... Thank you! The players have grouped and bonded like no other squad we have seen and have given their all for the cause........... Thank you! The Board have run the club in a sensible way and have listened to the fans despite, at times, causing financial detriment to the club.........Thank you! To the general public of Inverness and the highland region.........You do not deserve this club or team and when we are having inquests into the apparent "failure" of not qualifying for Europe it is in this direction the finger should be well and truly pointed..............No thanks in this direction. I look forward to follow our club next season (and many more after that thanks to the way the club is run) which is more than can be said for fans of much bigger clubs than ours who don't know if they will have a club to follow.
  5. I was speaking to one of the M K Dons boys (he seemed on his own) and he was talking about Johnny Russell and MacKay-Steven and never mentioned Aaron
  6. Or "If I can get back into the squad while at ICT I'll stay"
  7. The problem is that refereeing is so poor in most matches his performance could be called average.
  8. Don't normally post after games but have to make the point that C*unty are very one dimentional and play route one football. Without wishing anything bad on Ryan it was nice to see Toni back between the sticks.

When did he sign for Liverpool? If he was registered by Liverpool by then he would not appear on a SFA suspension list as he was registered by the FA. There are other players who had moved on to other clubs and it says beside their suspension (Formerly of Club X) so it should still be detailed in this as it is a list of suspensions. Not trying to be annoying but I think the player (formally of) did not register in another country but were simply unregistered having left or been let go by clubs.
  10. Jackie McNamara named Dundee United manager

"Regardless of the situation, under FIFA transfer rules and SFA/SPL/SFL rules he would not have been suspended for the LC semi regardless. This is backed up by 1) the aforementioned rules 2) the suspension list issued by the SFA last week 3) clarification by HoMFC to the SFA last week." Hasn't it already be stated on here that any player who's registration has been held outside Scotland for over 12 months would not show on any SFA suspensions and it was the clubs responsibility to check for suspensions held for players in these circumstances. Not as simple as they think.

Apologies if I am wrong but were STV not running a piece last night confirming "Wilson was eligable"? This seems to have disapeared.
  14. For me it has to be Billy. At least Rooneys went forward after it left his foot (but mostly sideways)

Because the suspension was specific to the Scottish League Cup I undrestand that. The point I am making is that if the people are saying the suspension may have been in the first game of the following season when he was at Liverpool when he played games in Scotland after the final so the ban was for the Scottish League Cup only

After being sent off in the final Wilson played a Scottish Cup game against Dundee United and a SPL game against Hearts (he scored) so why would the suspension be held over till the start of the next season. Also as said by many other posters the ban says "1 Scottish League Cup game".
  17. Feck (Actually I thought this when he was walking up, and I wasn't the only one)

Don't know who said it but "Show me a good loser and I will show you a loser"

Did he check with these people today? I can just see a "suit" saying " Just hold on Ewan I'll just leave my seat at the Celtic- Saints game and check this for you" ps Luke could you change your "banner" please. I'm trying to forget penalties.
  20. I have one question. Why did we let an Englishman take a penalty? Look at Englands records in penalty shoot-outs.

" There are none so blind as those who will not see" This is damaging to the club and supporters.
  22. Thought after the 10th foul since been booked Ngoo should walk. Not sure how many fouls someone has to make before it becomes persistent fouling.. Anyone else's heart sink when referee went for pocket after mckay brought down webster only to find out was for the sub. Sorry to be a downer on are team selection policy but think its absolutely disgraceful roberts gets on ahead of nick ross.. As well as the penalty miss roberts also overstretched to header a ball that was falling perfectly for andy shinnie at the back post in final minute of extra time much to shinnies disgust and mine. Anyway still are greatest season and it was only the diddy cup anyway.. This is absolutely spot on. Why do we persist with him when Nick Ross is evidently a better player? I would also argue that Roberts is not better than Sutherland or Pepper so why waste our time playing a guy who is off back to Arsenal in a few months. I admit I did not see the 4-0 win against Dundee United where apparently he was impressive but I have seen little to convince me he is anything special and he certainly does not have the work ethic to fit into this team. Hopefully we continue our good league form with a win on Wednesday and progress to the last 8 of the Scottish cup on Saturday. Disappointing to lose to what as a poorer than usual Hearts side especially with them down to 10 men and us having such a great season. Edit: Not sure how to fix the quoting function but oh well Because Marsella found Roberts and Marsella didn't find Ross...or Sutherland? And Terry thinks so little of the opinions of our own youth coaches that he ignores their opinions? This is one of the craziest posts I've ever read on here. How can anyone think Butcher or any other manager would chose a team or penalty takers on "which person found them" is utterly ridiculous . To be honest I am no fan of Roberts and think Ross should always come on before him if at all possible. Shane Sutherland wasn't much better than Roberts when he came on either.
  23. Just a note of caution. Were are still in January and we have achieved a great deal in terms of ICT but in the eyes of the football world we will be judged in May. We'll see who may want to play us then. Barcelona or Buckie Thitle?
  24. Big G replied to bauhaus's topic in Caley Thistle
Barry Robson and Don Cowie spring to mind
  25. I don't care about the opinions of anyone who is not a season ticket holder on this subject only the opinions of the ones who go to home games.
