  1. If Butcher does go, hopefully, he would care enough for the club not to take any players with him.

Rumour from Wrexham Season Ticket Holder friend is that we are in for the 19 y.o Belfast born central defender. Wreham web-site says he is away and a free agent. Friend says he is a talent has pace, good in the air and scores a few goals. Young Irishman ponders his future. The Club can confirm that while we have made a long-term offer to Danny Devine, it looks likely that the player will be heading away from the Racecourse. After completing a loan period from Fleetwood Town and then being released by the Fylde club, Danny is a free agent and able to sign for any team, now that the transfer window has re-opened. Late in the day he has received contact from other clubs and he is reviewing his options before making a commitment. We had hoped that the Belfast-born defender would have agreed to remain at Wrexham, but at this stage, that seems unlikely, with clubs from higher up the footballing ladder showing an interest. Wherever Danny finally ends up, we thank him for his contribution over the last three months and wish him well in his future career.
  3. Don't know why we are berating C*unty about a postponment. If you ask the fans of Celtic, St Johnston or Q o t S they would brand us as "the joke of the Highlands". Postponments happen.
  4. What Motherwell game?
  5. Bad day at the office. Motherwell were in our faces straight from the off and were set out to bypass our midfield. Tactically they knew what to do and please don't let our bad play take anything away from Motherwell, they were outstanding today. Too many of our players off form in the same game. Missed Ross Draper but lets not get carried away with this. If anyone had offered me top six after 14 games they would have teeth marks in their wrist. Last time we lost to Motherwell we went on an unbeaten run. No panicing please
  6. With regards to Phillip Roberts yesterday. I know he gave the ball away alot (as did A. Shinnie and Doran and others) but his positioning and space awareness infront of Ryan McGowan stopped one of Hearts biggest form of attack getting into the game. I'm sure T.V coverage won't show this side of the game but from the Main Stand it was obvious a job he had been given. The romour about sickness in the side could answer alot of questions about some players (Foran spent most of the last 5 mins not moving stood with his hands on his hips). The old saying of " The sign of a good side is getting something from a game you don't play well in" very much applies to yesterday. Last season we would have lost that game.
  7. Not sure but thought we had games against Motherwell at home and Celtic and Aberdeen away before thinking about C*unty.
  8. The SFA keep getting mentioned on this thread but I thought this was the League Cup and under the juristiction of Mr Longmuir and co. I cannot understand why the ill feeling about Easter Road. If we were playing Celtic at Hampden (less than two miles between the grounds) would we object. Also this is not news as the SFL said only one semi would be at Hampden. Don yer kilts and lets enjoy another historical day in the short but brilliant history of the Highlands number 1 club.
  9. Just a rumour at this time but BBC (who have the rights to show one game per round) are trying to negotiate for the Celtic v St Mirren game for Sunday 27th with a 14:00 kick off thus leaving us for Saturday with no live coverage. As I say only a rumour but it comes from the same source that told me about the C*unty cup game 24hrs before it was announced
  10. From what I can gather the cost of hiring Hampden for the SFL is very high and it is only cost effective if 30,000 plus attend. Unless it is a special match (Killie v. Ayr or Hibs v Hearts)any games without the OF it is more cost effective to use a ground outwith Hampden. With Hearts drawing crowds in excess of 11,000 for league games and more going to a cup semi-final Easter Road is the only possible venue crowd wise IMHO

  12. Rumour from Dingwall is Saturday 1st with a 12:15 k.o live on BBC
  13. Taking hundreds of supporters to away matches would be fantastic but I would much prefer the fans to turn up for home games so the club can get the financial benefit. We have so-called fans who, although living in the Highlands, only go to away games at places like the OF and Hearts. With the cost of travel, entrance cost and money spent on the day they could attend two home games. The club has a brilliant support from the central belt and even further south that attend away games because it is far cheaper and easier to get to than home games, but for Highland based fans home games should be the priority. I know people chose how to spend their money but the our club need the financial support.
  14. Before the game I would have taken a point so not too disappointed with the result dispite the ending. Why do people think that if we win on Wednesday we will go to Hampden. I'm pretty sure only semi-finals with OF involvement are played at Hampden in the league cup. Fir Park and Tynecastle have been used for semi's in recent years.
  15. If I remember rightly when this was discussed last year a lot of the posts were disbelieving of the survey but every point questioned e.g ticket price, food etc., was proved correct. So let the doubts begin!

With our home games against Hearts and Motherwell changed for ESPN and Sky it certainly looks like the T.V companies see entertainment value from covering our matches. Friends and family who only ever saw us, and most other teams, against the O.F on T.V cannot believe how entertaining SPL games covered without Celtic are. Are we seeing a new dawn in Scottish football?
  17. I keep hoping there will be another statement from Kenny Cameron to say someone has hacked into his media account and the statement is not his. I purchased my two season tickets as normal and was going to sponser a player for the first time for this season on the back of Kenny's statement and the clubs vote against the newco but at this time the new statement has me thinking again.
  18. I used to say to myself " Its the shirt that matters not who's wearing it" but I'm at a point now that I seem to be supporting a " Terry Butcher's Inverness Caley Thistle" rather than "Inverness C.T managed by Terry Butcher". I don't blame the players that come in as they are only trying to make a living out of playing football but as a management team and club we don't seem to have a long term plan when it comes to the squad. One year deals are o.k if we look to offer new contracts at Christmas if the player warrants it and not wait till the season is over. If I thought I would be out of a job in June I would start looking in January just like it looks like Tansy, Tade and Hayes did.

He played with Chris Hogg at England U-17 level
  20. First of all I would like to express my joy at SPL chairmen having balls and doing the right thing. I would like Dunfermline for two reasons. Firstly RFC offer 9pence in the pound for debt and if it had been accepted they would still be in the SPL and replaced by Dundee who paid 3 pence in the pound and survived and this being the second time in admin in 5 years. Secondly. It was Dunfermline chairman John Yorkson that stood up for us in our vote for SPL entry and forced a re-vote. So what comes around...................
  21. Speaking to a Hearts insider, he believes any player earning over £2500 a week has not been offered a new deal, Black, Skatel, Elliot and a few others so would they really offer a new signing £3000 a week?. Just a question not a diss.
  22. With my feelings about the management at the moment the keeper will be Smith from Dunfermline and the striker Barrowman
  23. Fantastic journalisim from the EE. The quotes attributed to Hayes are actually David Proctor's
  24. I totally understand why people don't attend cup games against Celtic (I would include Rangers in this but we've only played them at Tannadice). I have a season ticket in the main stand and each time seats around me are filled with colour wearing Celts who shout jump up and are never questioned by stewards. The colours may not be scarves but shirts worn under jackets that only a complete idiot would not recognise. Its not pleasent sitting next to a drunken "Hey Jimmy" at the best of times but not at our own ground in our main stand.
  25. When I saw the team sheet it struck me that playing a left back as left midfield Terry picked a team to combat Jamie Forrest and left us with limited attacking options. When Forrest didn't play G.Shinnie was not able to use the space that was available down the Celtic right thus giving us two defensive left sided players who had no-one to mark.
