Green dot for Mr Tade today for trying and absorbing the enemies resources of energy. And a green dot for Mr IHE for being a sober-sides, steady as she goes, common sense and totally droning-on poster now. He will be on the BBC soon. The Pimple telt ye, IHE, that you are very good at posting funny pictures like the ICT Puppet Training one which was Hi-larious but are you sure that your new role will nolt tell on you?

Sending off in goal scoring opportunity.
Scarlet Pimple replied to Alex MacLeod's topic in Caley Thistle
What is more to the point is ....what is the club going to do about it? A P P E A L ? If the club does not appeal this ridiculous incident then why? A P P E A L? And are we going to keep on allowing this double penalty to the team stuff? A p p e a l? The way some of these convoluted rules are playing out these days only offers stultifying nonsene to the game and just chokes up the fans and creates no worthwhile FAIR entertainment. At least that is MHO. Get rid of penalties all together and open up the game where everybody knows they can play with abandon, without fear of draconian penalties being heaped on a team at the worst possible moment. Terry now says that the team cannot tackle now in the box for fear of getting a red card--bl..oo.d y nonsense. I mean, that first penalty today sunk any chance that Caley Thistle had to get on top of the Rangers and was a sickening game turner. Really mad I am,so I will quit whilst I am ahead. Cheers folks. -
Up at 4.30 am to look at this game. First penalty against Ross Tokely. Disgraceful The video I was seeing was from a camaera at the side of the goal looking straight at the two players coming towards me. Ross was keeping up, made his tackle which was perfectly timed and brilliant and the man falls over his legs as he went down. Tne club has incontrovertible evidence that a clean tackle was made and the penalty was a bloody farce. When Ross was then red carded I could hardly contain myself, and in utter disblief I let out a loud expletive and got bollocked later by my wife for waking her up "in the middle of the night". The second was another fake. Looking at it again in my mind's eye I see two men running towards me shoulder to shoulder and the next thing we see is the Rangers' player with arms stretched out like he was in Swan Lake at Covent garden and his As for the alleged penalty claims against Caley Thistle I confess I did not see the first one but the second one was not deliberate and the ball nounced off his left arm whilst his heed was turned slighly to his rightTo be honset I think it cvaught him by surprise and he seemed confused for a moment if anything. Rangers played some really nice passing all day --why? Because ICT are still will standing off all of their players giving them oodles of time to pick out a fast and accuratye pass. Terry , have you heard of man-marking AT ALL? If you do not use it, how are you going to stop the opposition (especially Rangers and Celtic) from keeping control of the ball? Did you actually see any Caley player going in for a hard, or any, tackle so how are you going to get the ball off their toes if you don't get into their faces? The possession that Rangers had, made them look very good and, yes, they can play nice football but they are weak up front and lack penetration. Had ICT got a goal first then I feel they could have won the game. Tade--tied up the Rangers' defence but still does not quite seem to know what to do with the ball when he gets closer to the goal. The suggestion that he be brought on as a tough sub in the last part of the game to run the defence ragged is excellent. Tansey--a very nice player but his tendency to commit deliberate fouls will have to be curbed. That last heel flick in the second half was not necessary and he should cut out the "unprofessional fouls" right now. His 15 -foot-over -the -bar free kick in the second half was a total waste of a decent chance and a neat flick over the defence into the box would have been a far better option. That blooter matched the one that Tade also put over the bar so Terry , can you please ask the players to practice keeping the ball DOWN as they approach the goal. Jonny is effective on the wing but is being sussed out by the opposition. So, if he were to cut into the box more often, I feel that he would create more havoc. Doran has pace and seems to know in which direction the goal is but is his distribution yet up to snuff? He is eager and wants to run when he gets the ball but I am not sure that he quite knows where he wants to go when he gets it? What I am struggling to express that is he seems to lack poise and that is just youth I am afraid. Ross seems to have a spark though and is willing to work that's for sure. I just hope that it all starts to click soon although my prediction is that we will have to wait until 13 games have passed before our hopes and dreams may be realised.

What a brilliant idea. Multi-coloured kids would be afraid to go home I guess.

Judging by the fact that IHE is back to his jocular self ,subnmitting admittedly sometimes very amusing funny pictures and now showing a degree of moderation and self control that is unusually impressive, I think it is time for the Pimple to go back to sleep knowing that everything is now HUN-kydory.

Good luck, folks. Here in Vancouver we just went through a similar occurrence here in vancouver, B.C. The comments you make eerily echo what we felt immediately after the Stanley Cup riots where cars were torched and plate glass was smashed together with rampant looting. However these idiots never reckoned with the backlash that followed. ---5000 emails into police fingering people and 4000 photos sent in off cell phones, counless arrests in the hundreds, mea culpas by the young men who got caught and were shamed and forced to apologise on the T V . Then hordes of very angry people flooded into the dontown and helped clean the whole mess up in quick time. I think there is a task force of at least fifty police officers who have been assigned to sift through the mountains of evidence but when the charges, et., will be laid is anybody's guess. Your Mayor of Hackney was on our main T.V. news broadcasts today talking to one of the senior Canadian Broadcasting Corp. news anchors and he said heatedly that he saw adults in their 20's , 30.' s and forties in the street throwing bottles and so on and it was not just disaffected youth getting upset due to conditions of poverty etc., who were involved. He said they were downright hoodies hell bent on mayhem and what they think of as "fun", and looting by criminal gangs who came well prepared for trouble. I have strongly advocated for years that the youth of today should be forced to go in for National military service to make them grow up and face reality but I doubt if that will ever happen either in Britain or in Canada these days because we have a weak P.M. also here in Ottawa. Almost none of the Canadian politicians in Ottawa have ever been in the military. Youth here in Canada are just about as spoiled as you can get in any country , have all the luxuries that you can think of, whilst their parents run up Visa and other debts to an increible extent. to fund all the toys, cars, cell phones, computers, tablets and so forth that the young people of today enjoy. Every other driveway here in Western Canada has the large 4 X 4 truck in the driveway which is often accompanied by a trailer (a large caravan) and cars for each of the kids. All I can say to you in Britain during these undiscipl;ined and irreverent modern times is good luck. And I am quitting whilst I am ahead. Mr Cameron does seem to talk up a storm but whether he will act with a fist of steel is very much probably open to question. One thing I do know is that if the rioters who are going to be charghed in Vancouver eventually get off lightly there may be another riot by the just and innocent..let's see what happens.

Oh My ! IHE. Feel better dearie? These toys you just threw out are expensive. What a vicious attack upon a harmless Pimple. And so expressive. Surely to goodness that's not what you REALLY think is it? Just as well we don't all say what we think then isn't it? Phew! the very thought. Once the Independent Harmless Ejit but now getting into the Ill-tempered Hurtful Empty vessel bracket. Och! If poor Dougall is not attractive enough for you then I can only imagine that he's really happy about that? Goodness, the very thought? Man this is scary stuff. Now be nice and have a good sleep.

One green dot to IHE because I totally agree that the club is to blame largely for Proctor's woes. Why do they keep playing him in the defence when they could try him up front? I remember he was good up there when he first came here. Yet they seem to have a fetish over playing him where he does not seem to fit in. Keep it up and they will damge Proctor. It's not right

Watching the video of the game it seems to me that if Tade can get to the byline and drive that ball hard across the goalmouth he can cause possible havoc in the defence. Not so much high balls, because I think they could go anywhere, but the hard ball on the deck---one touch from a defender and it goes the wrong way into the net and the right touch from a Caley player and in it goes also. Whatever happens it can cause panic in their defence. The opposition will then have to put two defenders on him to cope with his pace and dangerous intentions and maybe he can get away with the same tactic by brute strength and maybe a penalty or two, too. Come to think of it, there is a slight resemblance to Desmond TuTu also.

IHE--what if Dougall believes what he wrote and that is actually his opinion? Surely he has the right to speak it bravely on here in public without us all tearing this young man to pieces every time he appears on here to express his viewpoint? ...give him a break, for goodness sake. Sometimes I wonder if I am listening to a pack of wolves surrounding a vulnerable victim, not fans of ICT willing to listen and understand that you and I, just like him, have to learn whats what over time. If you disagree with him, or me,then speak your piece so we can listen and learn from your views but please do it civilly and respect his right and my right to express what we think without vicious rancour erupting at the drop of a flipping hat. He's a human being and a fan so ease up on him and send him a PM if you are so upset by what he writes and have a personal exchange in private. In this instance there may even be a grain of truth in what Dougall says about Terry because , frankly, old habits die hard and Terry is indeed from the old school. Who are we to claim Dougall is stupid or wrong and none of us know Terry B so well that we can claim anything about whathe thinks is best for this team. Not me, for sure--- and I am 73 ---- Remember..."Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings comes forth words of wisdom."

terry butcher for gers boss if mcCoist fails
Scarlet Pimple replied to 0007ranger's topic in General Football
Terry would probably be interested. He has ambition oozing out of him, wants to make a name for himself and is a tough nut(ter) to crack. If Rangers were to offer him the job the answer is from the question ..."would you take it?". You bet. -
IHE You certainly have a good memory. Was Laurence not a prominent figure attracting either derision or disbelief several years ago with his pompous and know-it-all attitude? Wasn't he the guy who posted articles under a nom-de plume and hailed from Dingwall or thereabouts. Was that not in the era when you built HMS Sneck whose dry-docking was a sad end to an illustrious fighting ship's doughty career? Is there any chance we can revive HMS Sneck and get the same crew back on the deck? Captain Candour, alias IHE, will of course be at the helm on the fo'castlebut maybe he no longer has the energy to motivate the motley crew as he enters his dotage? C,mon Captain,an era of fun and frolic lies ahead of us all....

Translation...no one really knows what the position has to do with the actual decision. In or out of the box , up in the air or down on the ground? It's all going to happen at the ref's decision/discretion unless there is a lengthy rule which makes it even more absolutely un-clear.
-
I give a red dot to red dots. I thought we were trying to clean uip the negativity on this lovely site. ....Och! It never rains bit it pours.
-
Surely it doesn't matter where the tugging started . If the man does not go down after the pulling starts is it a foul? Only if the tugged player loses possession of the ball as a result or has a scoring chance denied him. If he does go down, the ref can't blow until he actually falls down and if that occurs inside the box the that is a penalty. Tentpole must look like Crouch of the EPL then? No one can be taller and thinner than him in British football..eh?

Tewrry Mo --good supportive post. It looks as if you may be a bit of a find yourself as a poster. Keep up the positive good work.

For us overseas viwers there is little to hope for by way of commentaries or T V viewing this season but, for Rangers' visit to Inverness on Saturday, August 13th you may just get lucky:- i.e. If you remember that, to see video on your computer, you have to be P-erfect 2 P-lace. Good luck, then. And if you need further explanation just PM me. Scarlet. the P-one.
-
Wow. Looking brilliant. So colourful and slick. Love it Guys/
-
"Don't forget the diver"--the poor overseas chaps and chapesses who get nothing live.......
-
Just hope he is fit. Otherwise, that's great news. He is returning to a team that wants him and I hope that that is really meaningful to him. There is nothing like being needed and wanted. Isn't significance what we all want from life? Yes!
-
Ah so! Imagine that then. Tailored ads; what will they think of next. I wondered why he didn't bite.......
-
These ads above the New Content are surely codswallop. Now I have said that I hope IHE does not wallop me with his codpiece.

No one will know about hi unless he Hoggs the limelight. Get Hogg back I say.

Based on the highlights only I must admit that ICT never seemed to be at the races. The ICT defense refused to get in a tackle, weak or crunching, and watching them going backwards instead of forwards was a real eye opener. If the defense is standing still what do you think is going to happen as the other team's forward comes towards you--is he going to stop and say "after you Claude"? In short Motherwell seemed to be given lots of space and time to run, maneuvre and get into a position where they could take shots. The overriding impression I got was of a bit of chaos, poor communication and a lack of leadership. Some of these players seemed totally confused and did not seem to understand where to go or position themselves and this resulted in groups of blue shirted lads all bunching in the same area. The lack of disciplined older , experienced players showed I fear. I also have concern about what appeared to be a lack of passion ! This is not a team made up of local lads and IMHO the bulk of the players don't feel the urgency that will be needed in the SPL. Hope they get the message and so doe sTerry. Why?---- Frankly ,they are just too young. I simply don't think you can build a solid house on shifting sand and the stability that would have been given to the team by the retention of some of the older players that Terry let go was absent. Is it a shambles? Well, we only have the highlights to view yet but he has his work cut out to get this team to gel so good luck Terry. Hope your big gamble can be achieved.
