Experiencing slow access on headings, links and posts. Resulting in duplicate to quadruplicate postings. Using right click with "OPEN" where acceptable seems to speed it all up however in most cases. After a delay of 90 seconds recently, in the case of attempting to post but not being able to us the right click option, I just closed it down without result. Yesterday, and previously, my attempts to access the ICT Online home webpage have sometimes been met with a red warning--presumably the cloudflare thingy. There was a very small link on the cloud- adviser to click on to get in and this did work after I clicked it. The only question on this one that I would raise is why are regular posters with a long site record the target of the cloud security thing? Would the creation of an "exceptions" list of posters in good standing for Mr Cloud solve the problem?

Anyway The BBC text says GHerats have had 6 attempts on target and ICT zero. Sigh. C'mon boys.

I think that there may be more to this than meets the eye. I think thnat the SFA are a bit ashamed at the crap decisions that ICT have had thrown against them in the recent past and I think that ...maybe.. a wee word in Mr Reilly's ear was made too.I also think that the papers weighing in on the controversy has affected their judgement of this issue. The two crap decisions --the Tokely incident versus Rangers and this one versus Celtic have affected the whole season for our club. From all accounts ICtT were playing so well before the debacles occurred that they conceivably could have won both games. And the effect of that could easily have been that they could have gained such a lift in spirit from the two wins that they might have won all subsequent games too. So,frankly, I have little sympathy for the Beaks OR Mr Reilly. The system is weighted against teams like ICT and the more we shout this from the rooftops the better it will be for all smaller teams us against the big mis-managed money baged teams and you know to whom I am mreferrfing. Finally, thank you IHE for supporting my is done, and the Scottish Football Association finally steps into the modern era, a lot of this crap will solve itself. The sooner the better as far as I am concerned. Why are these chiefs dragging their feet on this issue? Well,it is not hard to suggest that the probable disadvantages to the big money clubs, if this neutral technology is introduced, is obvious. The reduction and or actual elimination of cheating coukld reduce their superiority on the park which must be a daunting prospect for them! Any comments or rebuttals? :annoyed:

You mean the"Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" ?

Wanderer . Maybe we should join them. You know what they say.." If you can't beat 'em join 'em".

Renegade...who did you have in mind? My Pater, Daddy Pimpernel, is behind me all the way, by the way. And he's not an-onymous..he's an-gnome.

The pattern has emerged for the SPL.. And it is as clear as crystal. If you are playing either Rangers (remember Tokely's brilliant last ditch stop of the Rangers player, but got nailed by the ref for his legitimate effort)or Celtic, there is little chance that you will ever find a referee who is either strong enough or unbiased enough to judge the match fairly. i.e give the underdog the expectation of a completely unbiased and equal assessment throughout the match. It's a disease where money, influence and power overwhelm the referee's common sense and he has fear of reproach and pressure from powerful forces behind the scenes foremost in his mind. No wonder we are sick of it, especially when we have more then the sneaking suspicion that ICT are the target of MORE than their share of this behaviour. As has been said above, this one judgement could alter the whole season because if we had won today the whole complexion nf our attitude and the team's future progress could have been positively affected. Terry feels that it is a waste of time going down to Glasgow to appeal anything since, clearly, the Beaks have a vested interest in these two teams. A Managers' association should be formed to constantly express the protests against these outrageous decisions and to constantly put their cases in the media, rather than to this Glasgow Council of Complacent Hypcrites. Terry says if he does that then the Beaks will go after him instead of dealing with the issues themselves. So what does that cost him or the club if they do? Is it worth his time to try to do anything at all. Defeatism, like? Currently he has no other option and maybe, if his club backs him on this, then other clubs will follow suit and the trickle of discontent will become a flood? I would much prefer that he and the club use the media to highlight the issue and their plight and point out that the only future outcome of a continuance of this nonsense is the demise of the fans will not attend matches , Celtic and Rangers will go to the wall and the remaining members of the League will form a separate Alliance and pick their own committees of judgememnt. This will inflame the controversy and that is what is needed--to shame them and to shout more boldly than the Beaks and challenge them to come out in the open and answer their critics. And shout long and hard for Video replays of the incidents just like in other sports where controversies like this are immediately defused by this means and fans are both appeased and confident that the decisions made by this means ARE FAIR AND ACCURATE. This situation is a disgrace. No justice and no fairness. The Managers must coalesce into a group who constantly lambasts these Glaswegian idiots in the media and keeps their feet to the fire daily. The fans too must strengthen Terry's and the club's position by starting a campaign of support -- a petition would be good citing their 100% support of his views and attitudes. If you want change you can't sit back and do nothing. But you never know, maybe the fates of these two large Glasgow clubs is already sealed and Rangers will be the first to hit the skids owing ..what is it..49 million pounds, which is absolutely incredible. If correct, it shows that this club is staffed by Beaks who have their head in the sand, who pay huge sums of money to players who are grossly overpaid and to do this they neglect paying their bills timeously and obviously never put money aside on a monthly basis to allow them to meet known, and large, future expenses. This is not sound fiscal policy and is a recipe for disaster. The unbelievable thing here is why such businessmen think that this kind of situation can go on for ever without their having to pay a heavy price by adopting this attitude. They probably expect HM Revenue service to "settle" with them at a future date, allowing them to cut their outstanding debt substantially. Now that is a very dangerous course to follow because the Government is in no financial state to necessarily be that sympathetic and the signs are that their days could, as a result, be numbered at Rangers F.C.--unless more wealthy backers appear out of the mist,.. backers that is who have the same strange fiscal attitudes that prevail at that club. There are not too many Romanovs around and he has already tasted the fuits of disappointment by attemting to buy success. He is lucky he has deep pockets.... Good luck Terry! It seems as if it is going to continue to be an uphill battle. Stick at it.

I have a good feeling about our match against Celtic tomorrow. Tade will prove to be a handful for their defence and our players will be excited and raring to, so there may be a few surprises in this one. The goal difference for the winning team will be one goal. Enjoy! S.P.

Our worries will stop if they hire Alice Cooper (not Alex Cooper) Smile. The guy's face alone would frighten the French. Mind you the crowds may increase just to see him in a pair of white shorts an' all.

Going to my last post does not always work
Scarlet Pimple replied to Scarlet Pimple's topic in Technical Support
I don't think that it is the cookies this time, Scotty.I unchecked the delete cookies box in C Cleaner some time ago. Manfer--I will now try your solutions. Thanks. Re the links opening delays:- If I click on the "General" heading under Tech Supprt, a longish delay in the opening process can result. But if I right click on it, and then click "Open" from the drop down menu, it almost always will open quickly. The same thing results when I use the "New contents" box. And virtually any other link. Trust this makes it more clear. -
1) Quite often when I access a thread I am sent to the first post as if I am accessing the thread for the first time. I always thought that I would be sent to my last posting automatically-which could be 3-4 pages away. This happens fairly often and I was wondering if this could be checked out? 2) On a general question: When accessing this site I often click the heading to move forwrd but find that right clicking and choosing "Open" from the drop-down menu is much quicker. What is the reason for this?

Johnny Hayes - Opportunity Knocks

If he has done something wrong in his past career perhaps a simple apology to the Beaks would be well received. -
Er.. I wonder if IHE can help you? He works within the monolithic structure of the Health Service in the UK.Send him a PM or maybe , by now , he has sent you one himself. Not to be facetious but , if you are single and are well qualified, I don't think that you would have the slightest difficulty in being fast-tracked into the Canadian Immigration system...worth a thought. Just be prepared to , again possibly, being sent anywhere they need a person when you get in the door.It would be well worth it though to get in here and get established. My Doctor's office is staffed by South African Doctors. Many nurses and healthcare vworkers here in British Columbia are going to the United States for higher wages and, posssibly, better working conditions. Interetsed I can try to help--PM me. WORTH A THOUGHT. S. P.

Bounce games are, I am reliably informed, internalclub games where no tackling is allowed. So, Mods:- Can we consider a bounce thread where no negative challenges are allowed and then anyone can try out any prose or ideas or cockeyed thoughts that come into their heads without fear of being contradicted or contra-indicated and without disturbing the rhythm of another poster's day or the hang of his/her hairdo, or feeling debased, deflated, depressed, delineated, declined, demonic, dictated-to, detached from reality or....wait for it..... diabolical. And no get any red dots. OMG. The Pimple would have a field day but...sigh...would also be unbearable to live with. I am delighted to offer this suggestion to derail you and so that you can start the planning process now. What? Oh, you are welcome. RSVP -
If Terry is thinking that he would pay to bring in a player he had better think deeply because ICT do not appear to have any surplus funds available.

He woudl not be successful there. But if he used East Restalrig Terrace to get to work he would pass my old house which would always inspire him I hope.

Many a word spoken in jest..bigjohn....... -
They are not saying he is Mahonio. They are saying he is one WITH AN "E". Like he is a throwback to another century --like ye olde farte in ye olde Inverness-e. Ask Charles B if you don't get it, like. He;s just a younger version, Like. All in good humour though.

Clearly IHE there are some folks on here who do not appreciate your obvious talents. And some who grudgingly do but won't admit it. One thing is for sure--if you ever die on us, this Forum will be the loser. Even if I die meself before you, and go into the spirit world, I intend to keep checking in until you follow me and we meet up FOREVER. LOL In a word, ebullient. Meaning "full of beans" - but that connotation may result in some emissions of questionable value--from your negative fans on here, IHE , not you! :rotflmao:

The old negativity may be back. O.M.G. Time to scamper and run away But peek round the corner and live to fight another day.

Scotty Your comments are interesting. Looking at the Google map I remember one day when I was a small lad me and my pal were bored and went round the back of the same house you mention at the top of Lochalsh Road. We found the basement lift-up sash unlocked and climbed in. The house was empty of furniture but we were excited in case someone found us and cautiously had a look around. I had never dreamed of entering a house like this before, nor knew what was ahead, and was a bit apprehensive in case we were discovered. The silence and the surrounding dust were novel and a bit scary. After a few minutes exploring we left and nobody, or the house, was worse for wear. On the way down the driveway slope back down to Fairfield Road at the front of the house we pinched an apple off a tree and got ready for flight in case the dreaded words came at us out of the blue "Heh! What are you doing here...?". Hearts pounding, we buzzed off at the toot up Fairfield Road having a good laugh and feeling really chuffed at the fact that we had pulled off this naughty, hazardous adventure undetected. That was the incident that started the Pimple on his spying career when he realised that this was the kind of excitement that he craved and probably also prompted the youg woman on the hiking trail one day many years later ,here in B.C., who observed to me onafter we had arrived at the top of the mountain "I think you like living on the edge don't you? You will need to find a girl who can keep up with you..." Obviously I was single at the time and if you live long enough different people will tell you what they think of you. Some comments are amusing and some stop you in your tracks and make you think. n Sorry Scotty, but you have sent me down memory lane when I saw the Google Mapped house I lived in as a boy in Dunain Road and note from the magnifier that the nursery behind it has gone, so has the shed and the back lawn is now half a potato patch. There you go -progress. "On the edge"? Well, life sure is short and when exciting opportunities are offered to you I feel that you should accept them with open arms and enjoy them to the full. Sure, there are dangers and pitfalls but had I remained in Scotland I would never have done half the stuff I was fortunate to live through .e.g. Learning to downhill and cross country ski and going on many exciting trips, visiting America and Hawaii, meeting all kinds of different people with very strange appearances and names, taking up hiking, river rafting, canoeing climbing up the side of a 3,000 foot cliff in a floatplane (that was scary)and then flying over the top and landing on a lake in a forest then staying the night in a cabin and hiking down the hill the next day. Also being allowed to take the controls of a Cessna aircraft by the owner when he was flying with me over the Pacific to Vancouver Island and that was scary too I can tell you. And many other incidents. Anyone thinking of emigrating? DON'T hesitate, just DO IT. Anyone wants to come to Canada you can go to Alberta just now where the economy is booming and-paying jobs abound and they are simply CRYING OUT for employees. If you have eve a modicum of brains and education and can walk you will be in the door pronto quick. Even two years ago waitresses were pocketing over $30 per hour ...plus tips..which is about 20 pounds per hour. The average young Albertan does not, apparently, concern him/herself overly about getting a higher education All they think about is leaving school, getting a fancy car and earning high wages in the oil patch. Oh my? But, then again, if they are smart and are willintg to work at anything they can save and set up a very good life for themselves. After that you can go anywhere in this vast country after you establish yourself. Cheers S.P.
