  1. And what was wrong with making gradual changes at the beginning of the season, as opposed to hell-for-leather, don't hold yer breath or you won't see it, type of thing? A forced vegetable is not tasty and patience is a virtue. NO one wants Terry to fail in any way and who would replece him even IF his head did roll--John Robertson? WEll, that would not be a poor choice but Robbo seems to be a bit of a mercurial wanderlust type of chappie and would that be good for the future of ICT. Frankly, who would be willing to come tothe highlands ? Terry has to go to the end of the season and, anyway, there are better days ahead. Ask the Oracle, IHE
  2. Good post Charles.
  3. Brilliant result for the Bayview Battlers. And for John Robertson. And for Scarlet who used to walk a mile to go to their matches when he lived in Leven (and then Methil opposite the Wellesley coalpit Manager who became our good friend.). Hoch! Hoch!
  4. If Terry keeps losing his temper then he will eventually lose his job I fear. That will only make things worse all round. Golabart simply did not go in to that tackle with intent . He was a ***** and the D .U . player simply overran him. Gollo must learn to be macho and determined IMHO BUT a stern word from Terror Terry would have been enough not a tongue lashing. Itw as Terry B that decimated a decent team out of a mad desire to be successful, overnight and threw caution to the winds And now he has no players and no cohesion. Sorry Terry, take your licks and face up to it --YOU caused it !
  5. If Tansey does not curb that terrible tendency he apperas to have of blootering the ball ten feet over the bar then he may yet turn out to be as ineffective as anyone. I mean don't they ever practice these shots in training. Why can't he keep his eyes on the ball and the balls on the grass?
  6. How you doing Mannie? Well it will be Celtic v Caley soon and another real doing for our team will probably not be helpful to anyone. So,a word to Terry. Keep your head and try to maintain a professional approach to the game, the team and the future. As the Manager, KEEP your cool because the fans are what puts the bread and butter on your table and keeps the club alive. Histrionics towards the fans will be counter productive and will count against you rather than teach anybody else a lesson. Maybe it's easy to talk when you don't have the responsibility of the team on your shoulders, Terry, but that's your job so do whatever you think best but the Pimple is just offering a little bit of back talk from the Workers Compensation Board. And there is nothing worse than a sore back, as I know right this minute.Except, perhaps, a sore heart, Terry, and that may be around the corner if things get totally out of control....steady the Buffs and the ship, or else?
  7. Duff was a tidy player but apparently indecisive. A guy who is always holding out for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and can't make up his mind is going to go nowhere. What he has to do is focus strongly on one club that actually wants him and devote all his energy to doing his best for, and committing to, that club and he could do well, both for the present and for his future too.
  8. Dougie Danger--you mean, you know, these old wifies that used to have pride of place sitting close to the hangman's rope or the guillotione doing their knitting. Could work, but it might be a tad depressing to begin with. LOL Well, Dougal, are you really that old? Streuth! And here was me thinking that you were a wee laddie who needed a helping hand.....from all the boogiemen on here. Ha! Ha!
  9. Rangers and Celtic must find a way to lower their expectations or go. Preferably South. If they are not prepared to assist the other clubs to a greater financial degree then what happens to them if the lower clubs in the SPL go out of business? Are they resigned to eventually playing what , effectively, will be minnows? And win 10-0 every week? If the SFA, or whatever Scottish Football body is responsible for ensuring that clubs in Scotland do survive (what are you saying? None!?), are not prepared to come down hard on these two big clubs and ensure that overall gates are doled out on a more equitable basis to all the SPL clubs then what? Right now the situation seems to be going from bad to worse and most clubs will not be in the SPL shortly unless their fairy-godfather stays or comes along with a barrowload of cash to allow them to survive. At least that's MHO. The clubs have to bite the bullet, IMHO, and do the obvious--reduce prices in an attampt to get the clients back as has been siad above.
  10. What I am wondering is where is all the money going to come from to pay for all these trades and paying injured players?
  11.
  12. Send yer wife to kiss the steward--that is one big blessing. Dougal ,it's cold in the North and wifees and bairns need a blanket. I needed oxygen I was so cold in August 2008 when I was last over. These folks also pay their entrance money so bless them too...especially when the fan base seems to be dwindling. It's always up to a fan's own choice ..some are vocal, some are sad, some are cranky noisy...... and some are the quiet types like IHE, sensitive, intelligent, watching every move , disecting every set-piece, shy almost to a fault. You know, the quiet , reserved type who shows up at every game no matter where it is located, always buys a programme and takes it all in . Remember, Dougal, "they also serve who only stand and wait, and them's the ones who pays the freight." AYE!
  13. Well, look on the bright side--an ambarrassment of riches is not that bad a deal these days.
  14. Lennon instigated the incident by the push in Juanjo's back; which would oblige any player to turn round and ask him "what the heck was that for, pal?" Lennon stands up terrorised, expecting Juanjo to make something of it..rub noses or something. Juanjo walks up to him , get's close, flicks out his known-to-be-very-long tongue to give him a tongue lashing but decides instead to lick his face. He realises that Lennon's sweat would be full of venom so he says to himself "Och! to heck with this mularkey, turns away and starts to walk off. Meanwhile, Mr Lennon, who had a full minute during and after this proceeding to move his head even a fraction of an inch because of the terrible pain inflicted upon his face by the vicious attack, but failed to take advantage of the opportunity due to his total disbelief that little Juanjo could do something so dastardly to a star like him, and could not find his powder-puff to throw at J., is suddenly galvanised into action ....and...oh, shoot,.... youse know the rest... he's a nyaff and that's that.
  15. Good crowd - or not?
  16. Now turn the screw and up the pace. Yes!
  17. Well, anyway , you got something right--the new official club's site is a brilliant artistic achievement. Oh, and I think I heard someone say that it might even be "critically acclaimed", forsooth. Praise indeed.
  18. IHE you woke Scarlet up with your totally brilliant suggestion about Porterfield inhabitabnts being useful tools at Tulloch C S. Shoot! didn't know the place was still functional. Huh! What expanse of your generally comatose mind ran such a superb idea through to it's logical conclusion. Gosh ..there is truth in the rumour, after all, that out of the mouths of babes and sucklings come forth words of wisdom. Have agreat day the morn, Itchy.
  19. I H E .. Idyllicly Happy Expert.
  20. Well, Terry is certainly ringing the changes . I just hope that these changes ring our bell. But the way things were going before Terry came someone had to bell the cat , I guess. I just fervently hope that T.B does not turn out to be a ding-a-ling. because his initials stand for .....TINKER-BELL.
  21. ME TOO CALEY GIRL, TRUTH TO TELL.
  22. I would just like to chip in if I may and advise that the Pimple Organisation has heard that this new gent has a mind to stay in the Highlands and intends to become a piece of the team's furniture so to speak.
  23. OMG Manny, more competition from another bard. What would we do if it wasn't for you To tell us what is right from wrong? When the lad's off on banging his Scoattish gong When we fans only want to hear Mannie's rhyming views about our team Lead off MacDuff, get up a head of steam And wax eloquent aboot oor team You know, the only one that makes us dream It'ssss Caley Thistle through and through So how long will you keep us waiting, oh clever scribe Och! Here ye are, then, just a wee bribe, and it's over to youuuu!
  24. Well, anyway, George Fraser is a good, and well-educated, gentleman and represented the club very well over his tenure. He has good empathetic skills and is a good listener and makes the effort to go out of his way to get along with people and put them at their ease, especially if you are a visitor to the club. He also communicates very well verbally and writes even better from what I have seen. In short, he has been a credit to ICT because he is a very classy guy whose friendly and down-to-earth personality is blessed with intelligence behind it. And his heart definitely lies with the club. Hope he sticks around for a long time yet.
