  1. :_thumbup: Thank you Yngwie! You'r a brick.
  2. Doesn't it just add to the clutter Scotty, rather than adding to the knowledge base. I don't personally care what other posters think of a post because if I like it I like it for solid reasons (for me that is) and unless you are keeping tally so that at a future date a mod can belt the baddy with a tawsewhat is the overall point.? :_sleep:
  3. Munlochy Marauders :slap:
  4. The players used to be numbered from 1 , the goalie, to 11, the left winger and 7, the right winger and so on. That was in the olden days and it was simple and easy to identify who was playing in what position--names did not appear on the backs of the shirts as I recall. This worked very well with the former traditional positions like centre half, right half, centre forward etc, but now, with the positioning all chopped and changed around, I don't think this would work effectively. More's the pity. Seems that changes have been made now more for change's sake rather than for improvement. The game has been forced into permutations and numbers now and a lot of the verve has been lost.IMHO. :_shocked2:
  5. Sting in the tail eh Buckett? :_lol: Thought for the day, though. :_panting:
  6. Starchief--Bullard is not coming to Parkhead. But I was watching Neil lennon's interview carefully and that gent is no dummy. In fact I was surprised how lucid and possessed of common sense he appeared to be. He may have been a "wee, diving nyaff" on the park to some but the impression that he left with me is that he is much more insightful and intelligent than many might think. And he has major contacts all over the place, a good support team and some money to spend. So the team may take time to gel but Celtic will need to be treated with a healthy dose of respect on opening day or it could be a very bad day at the office. For me the buzz words are preparation and caution.
  7. Johnboy--could you persuade one of the Mods to insert a spell checker, please. Helps after cartartc sugergy, don't you know. :_lol:
  8. "Owd Cnadian git" ? That's really impertinent.IHE Geez, I just hate being called owd. And you spelt the country wrong too . It should be Candain, sniff!
  9. The poster who said that Philadelphia are a lowly(poor?) team was mistaken. That team beat Toronto a couple of weeks ago and were industrious and skilful. Celtic beat Seattle, and then Sporting Lisbon in their last game of their North American tour and have signed several experienced, high-profile players. One of their new signings from Mexico, named Juarez or Suarez, played for Mexico in the world cup. So Caley Thistle hopefully will be taking their visit very seriously.
  10. Purchasing any of these keyboards is costly. At an average of $24 for postage from the U.S. the overall cost is well over $100. I opted to purchase the Kinderboard from Chester Creek with one inch keys, from AROGA in Vancouver. They have offices in Montreal and Toronto and Edmonton I believe. I had a serious problem as soon as I connected it to my computer--pop-ups offering advice, blank screen, minimising of screen to taskbar, freezing cursor etc. Then the computer crashed (wait for it) into Standby. I managed to get the email text, that I was typing, back by restarting the computer--go figure. So I took it back to Aroga in Vancouver and , because I had recycled the cardboard box in which it came, the sister of the owner tried to refuse to refund my money despite assurances from her earlier that I could take it back within 30 days for a full refund. I pointed out that the board must be faulty and she would have to send it back to Chester Creek anyway and eventualluy she gave in.But she charged me $10 for a restocking fee. Strange that since she had to send it back and would or could not resell it as it stood!!. I was NOT happy at this type of approach to doing business. This board is not for everyone since, apart from anything else, it is difficult to type fast on it and I found that even solid, slow typing does not always result in the letters appearing in the text. The Vision Board 11 has the same formatting or platform as the Kinderboard so trying that one would also probably be no better. And, at $122 it is very high priced . So I am now back to the standard keyboard and everything is now stable again. These boards are suitable for young children or for older people with very poor vision who may want to just type slowly for the odd email etc but not suitable for fast typing and , despite the fact that it is supposed to be a "Plug and Play" connection, clearly it is not suitable for all systems or all computers. Overall, a 4 out of ten .
  11. Tried hanging the colour Johnboy. No evidencey et at my last eyesight check-up of any cataracts but in defereb\nce to your concern I will wera my uva and Uvb glasses next time to view . Itt will probably turn the colours into rainbows so ... :_wave:
  12. Celtic are also being aggressive in the type and number of players that they are signing/ pursuing. The opening game may be too much for our team to handle unless Terry says..."boys the only way we have a good chance of winning is to go all out in attack and let our great goalies handle the green deluge" . Could be a good game or a very defensive, dour struggle. Either way I predict that it will give both the Manager and the fans a whole lot to think about. Celtic may have some (new) dark horses in the pack but they all have lots of experience so let's see what happens. I hope the whole team but particularly the defence arte very fit by opening day. :_talktalktalk:
  13. Now that I have got used to the new format here are my feelings in a nutshell. 1. The former site was comfortable and made me feel at home, warm and fuzzy. BUT the new one is more sophisticated, brighter, cripser lines, beautifully streamlined and easy to navigate. And it looks very modern and up to date and in keeping with not only the times but also with the new surging progress of a re-vitalised team. I am sure that, for a new visitor, it must look extremely impressive. New posters will be attracted to become a member and it definitely can do nothing but enhance the credibility and attractiveness of ICT because it sets the bars at higher levels. It's professional apearance is outstanding. The emoticoms are classic, funny and colourful. And large enough for even a Pimple to see clearly. Smile. It is clear to me at least that there has been a great deal of thought and work put into the design and to eliminate some of the former draggy points and speed up navigation throughout. In particular, I love the ease with which we now are transported immediately to the very spot where you want to be on the Forums by clicking on "View New Content". One thought for the owners, however. Would it be possible to prominently display the start "new topic" button on the main Forum before you get into the individual threads? I could not remember where it was and kinda stumbled on it more by luck than good judgement. It seems logical to me to have it right up front where all can see it as they come in the door , so to speak. Just a thought. Summary ; Beautiful site and thanks for everything Scotty and Don. Have the club management praised your efforts and expressed their appreciation--hope so. :021: Scarlet
  14. Scotty How did Seattle Sounders get onto our site. They have an advertisement for their $90 (about 60 pounds at today's rates) tyop. Their offering looks insipid compared to that of ICT and I think it is a tad expensive. Their website looks utterly drab with no style, not much colour and is nothing compared to our new classy unofficial web site, just presented by Scotty and Caley D. Truth is I am getting to like it very mmuch....more later. Scarlet : :_phew:
  15. Better get your tickets now lads and lasses 'cos methinks it will be sold out. :_thumbup:
  16. Umberto's linguini :_shady:
  17. Iam cautiously optimistic and very excited. Beyond that, life experience has taught me that nothing is ever what it seems. :_header:
  18. Scotty I still do not understand about the fonts. You mention Word but in what connection. I can change the font in word by clicking on format etc. etc but how do we change the font in the thread. :_shocked2: If one cannot change it at all what is the word font on the site for exactly?
  19. :_shady: Just the ticket, mun, just the ticket.Manfer But if you need any further help just call old Scarlet....eh?
  20. Pull My Finger. Thought it was subtle , myself. :_wave: But then, I am only a loughly Pimple. Still I am ;oughthe to criticise since you are a lovely lad. :_sleep:
  21. Firstly--I like the brilliant colours. But , just in case they become too bright for the eyes where is/are the templat(s) change button(s) exactly? Times New Roman is touted for writing novels and emails--that happens to be my preferred font in the outer world.'Cos it's clear and simple, like the Pimple. Scotty, I am typing this in the Fast Reply box--look upp to the heading and you will see "Other Styles" , Fonts , Sizes. If you click on "Fonts" then a list of , presumably, available fonts is dispayed. But clicking on any one seems to do nothing so.....hence the question , above. ?
  22. energy bars
  23. Could not find it under gallery. Not on yet Scotty?
  24. I've found it--how to Clean up the forum for new posts at the end of the day. You will find the button marked "Mark this Forum as Read" on the right of the blue bar marked ICT (maybe for other Forums as well). It is surrounded by small dashes instead of straight lines. Hope this helps.
