  1. Nice to note that Raven wasn't backwards but NEVAR put a foot wrong . I liked Chinos' post. I note you are supposed to "not have made any friends yet" on your profile but, with a positive post like that, it won't be long before you do! It's Interesting also how people see things so differently from time to time.

  3. Let's be blunt...."No" means "no" on all counts.
  4. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30317051 Hearn says self-pity, poor belief in ourselves together with a lack of promotion of our game, plus lack of alcohol and dithering on whether or not to go over to Summer football, is severely holding back Scorttish football. Since I agree wholeheartedly, with some reservations about the re-introduction of alcohol to the terraces, I will not say another word . This article is explicit and is a very good start to implementation of programmes. He does declare that standing is now allowed throughout the game but local authorities are holding back on the issuance of certificates to allow this and so .........?
  5. Agree with all posters on this one. .100%. So, will it change? I think not . Dear Varlet, The times they are a-changing and yonder referee knoweth best which side his bread is buttered thereon. Dost thou not presenteth me with fripperies like video. -- Leave all such matters to the future, way over yonder hill. Egad and Forsooth-- what is this game all about anyway if it is to lose it's magic like hacking and cracking, tripping and cheating, ref roasting, crying the blues , simulation and exaggeration, stealthy fouling and elimination of pussies and cissies. EH?
  6. Onward and upward for the team, the vclub and the FANS!
  7. I also note that we have another pseudo Eagle has Landed fan from the South....MAARLON . No doubt a new Brando-n the scene. ?
  8. For those of us that scorned Dougal (above) please be aware the the venerable S.P gave him a "like" 'cos he gets his share of criticism and fair is fair. Good post from the Doughty Dougal.
  9. I think what we all want is to find out for sure what their plans and intentions, including what offers they already have received, are From the players' standpoint, I see it as being advantageous for both parties, player and ICT , to be completely honest and up front with each other. None of these T Butcher shenanigans again, please.
  10. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30639024 Seems like this straight shooter agrees that our club should pursue this affront and get redress for the recent incident that effectively lost us the match. He's right as rain, IMHO, since it's a farcical situation that should be stopped in it's tracks. What do you think?
  11. Gotcha, Davie. I didn't know it was only five minutes after the game. Usually he is impressive . S.P.
  12. Give Ferguson some time in the first team? He's a skillful, hard working lad isn't he and he probably deserves this? Bringing him in will also send a message to first team players that all must play well to retain their position and that you are always only as good, relatively speaking, as your last two games. Billy--unable to determine the problem from this distance (i.e over 5,000 miles away) but either he simply is not getting the service and through balls that he got before the slump or he is having a loss of confidence or something. But if CT get a very good offer then ....maybe it's time to move him along in his career where a new club might re-kindle the verve and timing etc. Of course, then the question arises...who do you put in his place?
  13. Doofers dad -I agree with your thoughts on John Hughes" after-match interview :- Enthusiasm is one thing but he needs to compose himself despite the disappointment and not get almost incoherent at times. i.e. he should deal with one aspect at a time and not get them intermingled so much .It was a little bit unsettling because I became unsure as to what he really thought were the reasons why we went off the rails and what we need to do to steady the ship and get back in control of the games as we seem to have done so often in the past. Some interviews after past games seem to have been spot on but this match seems to have got under his skin. I suppose three defeats in a row can do that to a guy after so much success.. Steady the Buffs.
  14. Scarlet Pimple replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
It seems as if the team doesn't wake up until the second half in recent matches. Meanwhile it also seems as if the opposition gets a quick start and scores early on in the first half which makes it very difficult for us to claw back a goal and into contention. Comments please?
  15. Oh my, Alex! I had to do something to wake up the venerable punters.
  16. Bughtmaster.... Frosty the Snowman. or Frosty the " NO"-man?
  17. It's that time of year and the news about the ticket sales is all GOOD CHEER. So to one and all I lift my glass and say HEAR HEAR. Happy new Year, lads and lasses, from a balmy Boxing day which is cool, crisp and clear-ing.
  18. Why pick on Dougal, Charles? He is only observing drily and laconically what he thinks. Come now, without the black to show us the contrast of white where would we be? You being the white and all, like me? So there you go, now, you understand and now you see.
  19. Best joke I have seen in ages from the esteemed captain of HMS Sneck, now retired.... African missionary eh? Well we all know what position he was going to adopt when he was about to start on you. So, are you sure he was as ecclesiastical as you thought.........?
  20. Exactly, Caley D. Consider .....what would have happened if the same penalty incident had happened to Celtic?
  21. It's already a farce, Sneckboy. So how about giving a penalty to the team who has been aggrieved, at their home ground: - 1. The aggrieved team would score and so it's settled. A draw and each gets points. 2. The team taking the penalty would not score. That's fair, then they simply have to accept the outcome as part of life. 3. The team who did the dirty deed will have to pay for a player to travel from Perth to Inverness, hitting them in the pocketbook. That will stop it. 4. The end result will be that this will go a long way to stopping diving in the penalty box. If the ref can't make up mind then he blows to stop the play and he stots the ball-- then first to the ball wins a great chance to get rid of it into touch or the other team has a great chance to score. BUT, currently, I still think that ICT should make a formal complaint and be awarded the points. If it was a case in the Courts, then they would because there is absolute proof that cheating took place. Of course we all know that nothing will happen anyway so when that ref comes calling again we boo him off the park? Why, because ICT has been seen to be the "victim" of poor refereeing too many times in the recent past for it to be just a coincidence. Sorry, but we are still seen as that highland team that will never amount to much and will never be a lucrative addition to the SPL- so penalise them first and let the questions come later.
  22. Besides. No team can be expected to go through a whole season unbeaten! You should learn from defeats and mistakes.
  23. Having found against him both teams should share the points, as in a draw. Anything else is utterly ridiculous IMHO. So diving is now a proven way of benefitting the team. What a farce. If such is against the rules then our team must have retribution. Otherwise the whole scenario is a farce.. The top brass at ICT should launch a formal complaint and ask for retribution and an award. That point may be the difference between going into Europe and not going in. Definitely a valid complaint. Cause a stink, CaleyThistle. Stop the rot now before it develops into a very serious disease. You should, because it's only the squeaky wheel that gets the oil.
  24. Self-destructing isn't the word for it. Incredible . We are so lucky to have the honest Injuns we have at the Helm of the above-reproach ICT.
