Stranraer -V- Inverness CT
Quick thoughts from the bus... We are very lucky to still be in this competition. A hugely disappointing performance from ICT. We didn't deserve to go out but we simply didn't create enough to win the game either. Very little creativity up front. Doran got lucky with the first. Looked like a cross that evaded everyone and snuck in at the back. Stranraer equalised through a penalty. No idea of it was a fair award or not but Brill had no chance. In the second half Stranraer took the lead after a long ball found one of their attackers in acres of space. He finished well with a low powerful shot past Brill. Luckily we pulled level 2 minutes later after Foran knocked down to McKay who tucked it home from close range. Interesting to see us move to 4-4-2 quite early on in the game once Foran came on. We never seemed comfortable once we made this switch. Big improvement needed for us to see them off in the replay and also to get back on track in the league.

I don't think there was a thread for this one and we all seem to be getting swept up in League Cup final fever! I think we might need to rotate a couple of players but I wouldn't want to do Stranraer a disservice by thinking we just need to turn up and beat them whilst resting a number of first teamers though it also wouldn't surprise me to see us play a full strength XI. Suspect we might go with: Esson Raven Warren Meekings Tremarco Polworth Tansey Doran Vincent Williams Mckay- Cup Final Venue
If it was a Saturday then it would be fine as there are a lot more early trains to get folk to Glasgow. I think Scotrail will be able to run additional services on the Sunday as there will be plenty of spare track time.- Joe Gorman
