Indeed - it will be interesting to see how Falkirk fair this season as they were run with a much higher wage bill so you have to assume a higher level of debt....something does need to change though for the future of Scottish football starting with the restructuring of the league system.... Having said that though just seen the first advert this morning on Showtime for the SPL opener live on Showtime Sports - Inverness CT v Celtic....it feels good....

I like the German Cup set up where the big seeded clubs have to play away in the early rounds thus giving the smaller clubs a home draw and a better chance of causing an upset. Still would like a home draw v Elgin....

The first is always good irrespective of the score - Inverness Thistle 5 Buckie Thistle 0 - I thought they would all be like that.... Over the years I have been to some dire cup finals - even went to one where the highlight was the half time battle between both sets of fans (on the pitch) which was only broken up when the army police were called to the stadium just in time to allow the 2nd half to start. The all time classic that I have been to though has to be the 2001 Liverpool v Alves game in Dortmund - I don't think I have experienced such a pulsating final - it could have gone any way - but thankfully Liverpool won 5-4 2001 UEFA Cup Final

SPL web-site - ICTFC Only 4 of those that started the game are still at the club so it will be a much changed line up against Celtic on the 14th August. I see ex-ICT player Markus Paatelainen was playing for Finnish side FC Honka in the Europa League game last night against Bangor City. The game ended 1-1 and unfortuntely for Markus after he was brought down in the penalty box he missed the resultant penalty. Good to see him back playing though....

The away strip from Brighton last season looks like a familiar design.... The new Brighton home top from Errea looks interesting....

If it is that style (and quite a few teams appear to be going with it) this is what it will look like....

Kick-off is 7:45pm, with ticket prices at ?10 for adults and ?5 for children and concessions. From Witton Albion web-site I am pleased to be able to announce that following discussions with officials of Stockport County FC, agreement has been reached to host their pre-season friendly fixture against Scottish Premier League side Inverness Caledonian Thistle, which is to be played on Monday 26 July, kick-off 7.45pm. Caley are managed by former Ipswich Town, Galsgow Rangers and England international defender Terry Butcher. Terms for the use of our facilities were concluded quickly, and with an expected attendance of 500+ the income that this will generate for the Club is most welcome at this time of the season. Admission to the game will be ?10 adults and ?5 children and concessions. Mark Harris - Chairman Directions: Wincham Park is in the Wincham area of Northwich. The stadium is approximately 1.5 miles to the north of Northwich Town Centre. From North/South/East Leave the M6 at Junction 19 and take the A556 Chester Road towards Northwich. After 3 miles get into the right hand lane and filter off to the right at the 'triangle' road junction. At the traffic lights go over to the left which is Manchester Road (still the A556). After 1 mile turn right into the A559 Hall Lane. After 0.5 mile turn left into Wincham Lane (the Black Greyhound Pub is on the opposite side of the road). After 0.5 mile Wincham Lane becomes Chapel Street, you will go over a hump backed bridge over the canal and the turning into the stadium is on the left. From the West Use the M56 towards Manchester, leave at Junction 10 and use the A559 Hall Lane (following the directions above).
