  1. Centenary Club - 3rd December 2008 Well done sir....
  2. Good news indeed - deal consists of additional bonuses if we win one of the cups and on league position at the end of the season.... I didn't realise that they were involved in a lot more than just a name on a shirt....good on them - let's hope they can stay solvent unlike so many other airlines at the moment.... Footballshirtculture article on deal
  3. Is it a good or bad thing that only three scottish clubs received a pay-out? It either means that we have a league that is now mostly comprised of scottish players or the foreign players that are in the SPL are not that good (I suppose their teams may have not qualified....) Either way the money is a welcome bonus and a pleasant surprise to be ahead of Rangers in any table.... Scottish club payouts Celtic - ?272,989 Inverness Caledonian Thistle - ?57,471 Rangers - ?28,736 English club payouts Arsenal - ?732,760 Chelsea - ?702,827 Liverpool - ?607,641 Manchester United - ?440,614 Manchester City - ?253,832 Aston Villa - ?201,150 Portsmouth - ?186,782 Middlesbrough - ?167,624 Bolton Wanderers - ?143,678 Newcastle United - ?136,494 Southampton - ?114,943 Birmingham City - ?100,575 Blackburn Rovers - ?100,575 Wigan Athletic - ?95,786 West Ham United - ?57,471 Reading - ?43,103 Sheffield United - ?40,709 West Bromwich Albion - ?14,368

  5. Joe Swash
  6. CB - I don't remember the LRW but here are a couple of articles from Am Baile.... Lord Roberts Workshops visit June 1931 This is the third page of the Inverness Courier report on the visit of Edward, Prince of Wales, to Inverness on 26 June 1931. The first official engagement of the day was at Lord Roberts' Memorial Workshop on Factory Street. The workshop was one of several established across Britain after World War I to provide employment for disabled ex-servicemen. LRW Advertisment Also see Dorando and Sons advertised there among others.... I do remember the Eddie McGillivray Hall on the 5th BBs sport evenings in the early 80s....that was back in the days of Soda Stream which I am sure many others who went at the same time will remember....
  7. I think could be worth a punt also - he has just had his loan spell at Darlington extended - maybe Southend will let him go for a small fee.... Richie Foran There is also Keigan Parker at Huddersfield Town....?
  8. DJS - I am sure there would have been several but that type of information would be pretty difficult to unearth now....especially for those who took part in WWI WWII information though should still be accessible - I am surprised that is not the kind of thing that would have been among the documents and other memorabilia, trophies, photographs, paintings etc that were handed over to ICT when the clubs merged....
  9. Excellent Bob - you'll appreciate this then.... I think this guy may have originally been from Aberdeen.... :thumb04: Haggling for Dental Work
  10. Watched it on the BBC this morning - definite red....stupid challenge....he is a very lucky man only to get a yellow....I don't think he would have had too many arguements if it had been an early bath.... Then again the manager may have had a bit more to say about it....
  11. Politics and Football - they do not mix well - like Whisky and Soda....
  12. Well done thats the way to get a load of points lol A correct result at last....seems like about 10 weeks since I last had one.... Next correct result should probably come about early February then.... :thumb04:
  13. Well done GJ a very satisfactory day for you all around.... Enjoy your winnings.... :thumb04:
  14. ** FULL TIME STATS ** KILLIE ICT 1 Goals 2 (Imrie 14, Wood 38) 3 Shots On Target 1 3 Shots Off Target 4 6 Corners 2 12 Fouls (Conceded) 13 4 Yellow Cards 3 (Tokely, Black, Wood) 0 Red Cards 0 Interesting - 2 goals and only 1 shot on target....but who cares 3 points and up to 8th - just think one more win and we would have been sitting in 5th this evening....a strange season indeed and more ups and downs to come me tinks....
  15. Repeat of the Hibs game - 1-2 away win - holding on in the end to make sure we got something out of a game that should have been in the bag - home team miss a penalty - lady luck with us again on our travels.... Keep it up....another 10 or so of these will do nicely....
  16. Morton Away @ 4.50 - ta muchly....points much needed also....
  17. Both mythical creatures though that nobody quite believes in....
  18. I don't really want to burst anyone's bubble as there have been some cracking and imaginitave designs, but you have to remember one crucial thing ..... The type of designs available WILL be limited to those that are included in the vendor's templates for the relevant year. I very much doubt that Caley Thistle have the clout, or the level of shirt sales where they could force Errea (or any supplier for that matter) to come up with a custom design template ... we will be forced to select a shirt from one of maybe a dozen pre-defined templates and customise it that way. As I mentioned above, I have added the PSD files for 07/08 and 08/09 to our download section and the two designs I added in my postings above came from the Errea files included in those PSD files. A step forward would be the club asking for, and receiving templates for the 09/10 templates ahead of schedule which would allow the fans to work with those templates and come up with something that Errea would actually be able to produce. in fact, I may add that question as one of my own for next month's BB. Scotty I agree to a point - I think Errea is part of the problem but that is another topic and not necessarily the shirt design issue we are currently discussing.... I also think that if a club wants a certain design then the shirt manufacturer will take that on board....it appears we share our shirt design with Al-Nasr of Kuwait....it could have been worse you should see what FC Ryukyu ended up with.... Errea do supply for example striped shirts for clubs this season along with many other designs. Many of the clubs that have striped shirts are provincial teams or from leagues that have a smaller support than ICT. I think the club is at fault in my opinion but that also is another story. I agree with your suggestion about the templates as that would allow some good ideas to be developed. I have attached a few examples of some of the current season Errea striped tops from theitr web-site - there are many more along with many varied designs that would make some excellent away tops.... Atalanta Benevento Calcio Atalanta Femminile Canottieri Belluno West Adelaide Charleroi Brighton and Hove Albion FK Auda In addition an existing Errea supplied shirt that may make a half decent away kit for next season with very little modification....
  19. I'd say that they may have one or two prejudices....
  20. Of whom, I know two!! Is this them....?
  21. GJ/Scotty/CD - I know we have had many polls and threads on this in the past but what about a new poll(s) now that there has been some fresh discussion about strip colours/designs and the ICT branding....and the fact that a new away strip will be appearing....my personal feeling is that the home strip is the main issue and that there will be a preference to one particular theme and no guesses as to what that may be. We have played in some pretty awful away strips over the last 14 years and I am sure that will not change - can't remember a pink one though but might be wrong.... This is the ideal opportunity to summarize the good work that has been presented on this thread and provide the club with a lit bit of quantified research on what is wanted by the fans to give their club an identity going forward (and equally what will sell best....)
  22. It is the kind of thing that appears in the annual Inverness Courier Old Inverness photo book - I assume this year's is already out....
  23. Totally - head, nail etc.... Just need the club to take note now....and they can then start to establish the club brand further....
  24. Was Ratatouille on the menu....
  25. Six points from the next two games are crucial and CB and the coaching staff should be demanding nothing less from the team to ensure that is what we get.... Falkirk (H) 1-1 Hearts (H) 0-1 Kilmarnock (A) Celtic (A) Dundee Utd (H) St.Mirren (A) Aberdeen (H) Motherwell (A) Rangers (H) One point from the two home games is a big big disappointment - I think I might have to seriously re-think my prediction that we would get 10 points (11 points if you include the point gained from Falkirk) out of those fixtures up to the new year....it could be a long season with the next point(s) potentialy not coming until the trip to Paisley....hopefully wrong but....
