I agree with you to an extent but to suggest the average American (or Canadian) has little interest in 'soccer' goes against the figures ... http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2015/10/26/mls-sets-new-attendance-records-seattle-hold-highest-average-league Compared to the traditional North American sports it may be low, but in terms of global football it ranks pretty good. However, I do agree that there is little interest in Scottish football outside the old firm and that is in huge part due to the SFA/SPL and now SPFL. They do zero marketing, make it almost impossible to view or listen to the game outside of Scotland (and even inside), and generally do a piss poor job of promoting the game. Having said that - I can guarantee a few long time ICT supporters if we were to play Celtic or Rangers at BMO Field in Toronto and a good few more one-day supporters !!! If we were to play anyone else, the crowd would be a lot sparser !
  11. Our traffic has actually stayed reasonably constant although the level of posting does sometimes wane. My own take is that I believe forums still have their place, and they always will, but social media and facebook are far more instant a medium and may be more appealing to some users (especially younger ones). I cant see the main social media sites fading anytime soon so even the developers of this forum software are constantly looking for ways to enhance the product and make it as easy to use and as 'social' as possible. Where forums do have an advantage I think is that they typically tend to be niche markets or 'cliques' that require (mostly free) membership. All of us here have at least one common interest (ICT) and probably several more (Inverness, football, local history, films etc) that we can discuss freely and whilst we do have arguments and have to click the ban hammer once in a while, for the most part its a somewhat civilised and safe environment. There is also the fact that being a smaller niche community there is a good chance you will get loads of opportunity to put faces to screen names and see a real person that you might not when posting on facebook or twitter. How many of you went to Romania earlier this year and introduced yourself to people with "I am <nickname> on CTO" . I myself am a member of two other boards i frequent regularly, one for Toronto FC, and one for the car I now drive and as a normal member rather than moderator or administrator its just the same ... I get introduced to folk all the time as their screen names and we collectively all have this little niche bubble we are part of .... After 20+ years of running this forum (so far) all I can say is 'Good Luck'. Its a lot of fun most of the time but also a massive pain in the arse at others !
  12. Scotland played in 'salmon pink' in the early 1900s and have had pink away shirts a couple of times in the 90s. The national Rugby team have also worn pink. The current away effort (below left) is a horrible partial remake of the traditional Partick-esque pink and yellow hoops from 100+ years ago ... Now if they had said it was for breast cancer awareness or something like that no-one would have batted an eyelid ! As for the tartan shirt, the effort from the early 90s was somewhat better IMHO. The white just does not work. makes it look like a badly screen-printed t-shirt you would put some 'shortbread tin' slogan on and flog to tourists in a tacky shop !
  13. hey, I've been watching Toronto FC for 9 years too .... they are the poster boys of 'too often' in this particular category !!!!
  14. sounds like we played reasonably well and got sucker-punched right at the death.
  15. and it ends 2-1 with Partick snatching a 90th minute winner !!! Bo11ocks !

  19. IF he spat directly at another player then he should never wear the shirt again. end of.
  20. I know ... !!! I cant say for sure, but I am guessing there may have been an issue calling it Football Manager due to a long standing game with the same name so likely trademark issues etc. I logged in via facebook so it didnt ask anything Absolutely. We will see if IHE makes an appearance too !
  21. We were recently approached by the creators of the online game "Soccer Manager 2016" and asked if they could use CTO as the fan site listed in the game for some of the realistic interactions. After looking at their site and the accuracy of most of the info as it related to Caley Thistle I agreed. This is how it will look in the game: Here is the link to the game which can be played online or on iOS or Android mobile platforms: http://socm.io/cy
