Remember a few things about SR ..... System Restore NEEDS a minimum of 200Mb free space to function (over and above the space allocated for restore points). If running on a drive without that, system restore will turn itself off silently and automatically. if this Google Book link doesnt open on the right page - scroll to page 415 [CLICK] I dont use system restore - I prefer to use Norton Ghost - but a quick look round some of the techy websites suggest that there can also be problems when running Norton products with it ..... see http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/share...005113009323013 Here is another guide thats pretty decent. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html

Hi Steve see the first post in the matchday thread or my post somewhere in the anyone going to Falkirk thread .... basically, there's not much we can do on certain days as clubs block transmission outside the UK. I will send you a PM with details of what we ex-pats are trying to do, and where we can discuss things without upsetting Birdog. :004:

If I choose to explain the reason why "live updates" will not be added to the site for all fans to see on a total of two threads about this game (or any threads about past or future games) then that is far more appropriate than some of the drivel posted in other threads by many users. I understand your comment about going for years without listening to a match, (it affected me too !), but that is largely irrelevant as they werent being broadcast in the first place. Right now, every game is being broadcast over the net but the SPL and the clubs themselves are actively blocking them to a certain portion of the audience whilst leaving no alternative route other than using a specific club service. In the case of ICT, they dont have this service available and every email sent to the Chief Executive asking about the logistics or even plans for this service is ignored. I have sent a few over the last few months, and I know that another site user sent one more than a week ago and none of the (polite) emails have even had the dignity of a response. not sure what your "loyal citizen" comment is supposed to suggest so will leave that for now !
-
indeed ... irrelevant is a good description. wonder just how many irrelevant shareholders are overseas these days. imagine if we called ICT to account and asked the SPL or other authorities why they are repeatedly being allowed to break their club licensing certification by ignoring polite and relevant emails. imagine if we got organised, talked to each other, and started co-ordinating the sending of email to those "powers" every time a match was blocked. Maybe they might actually respond for once... or maybe not. imagine if we went further and included the disenfranchised from other clubs like Dundee Utd or Gretna or the fans of clubs in the process of getting their online act together like St Mirren or Motherwell !!!!

This thread is online early as I dont know what I will be doing come match-time (see below) [li]Discuss the game in this very thread right here :004:[/li] [li]Get to the chatroom HERE[/li] [li]See the subs / bookings / report - after the game starts *** - HERE[/li] [li]At the game ? - Dont forget to vote in the POLL after the game has ended***. HERE [/li] [li]See the stats etc after the game has ended*** by choosing today's game from HERE[/li] LINEUPS FALKIRK ICT ***Please note: Once again, we may be unable to offer live updated scores or stats from this game as it is blocked outside the UK and therefore unavailable to me or any of the other members of the "Overseas and Overlooked" group. If this is the case, the chatroom and this thread will be available but reports, stats and POY Polls etc will be published later. In fact, it is likely that I wont bother going anywhere near a computer at game time as every single SPL game is blocked outside the UK tomorrow and I cant face 2 hours listening to repeated mutterings of "We are sorry, due to contractual reasons, we are unable to bring you the current programme. Normal service will be resumed soon". Despite polite emails from both myself (several months ago) and at least one other member of the overseas group (over a week ago) asking polite questions about ICT establishing its own service for both overseas and indeed ALL fans, not a single email sent to ICT on this subject has ever been responded to (in contravention of their obligations under the club licensing scheme I might add) which is particularly galling given that its not just teams like Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen who offer services available to ALL fans worldwide (or even in the UK), but also teams like Kilmarnock (who use the same provider as ICT), Falkirk (who have their own service) and even EAST STIRLINGSHIRE !!! (http://www.eaststirlingfc.co.uk/vidDatabase.php) The BBC may be the bearer of these bad tidings but its Happy scrooge day to the SPL, ICT and every other team who needlessly block their games to people who have no alternative way of obtaining them .... full match report expected from one of you :004: (please)
-
actually didnt think it up to his usual standard .... I guess thats what happens when you "jump the shark" !!!
-
I remember that -and the comment also said something like "the cherry on top of the icing of an already scrumptious cake would have been a Caley Thistle equaliser" .... What also made that a more poignant game was the (good) behaviour and banter between the fans, as it was that same weekend that Hugh Dallas got hit with a coin in the old firm game ...... Talking of memorable games, obviously there is that game in Feb 2000 :003: and many of the other ones that have been mentioned, but lets not forget the 7-3 game against Ayr which was a beauty !!!
-
I did doubt his ability - based on his 3 wins in 30 games DUFC tenure and I am delighted that he is proving me wrong. I have also noticed adjustments in things like substitutions, formation etc so it appears he is definitely learning and learning quickly. long may that continue. I dont think it is luck .... as someone said above, 1 or 2 games might be luck, but FIVE ? Having said that, CC also had a 5 game winning streak (with no goals conceded) at the end of one season and look what happened there ! His Christmas report card is probably an "A minus" with Motherwell being the blip ! - A good transfer window where we enhance the squad will make it a straight "A" :003:
-
I would love to !

Motherwell 0-1 Falkirk

his brother Mixu I think you mean .....?
-
I never understood why Gretna loaned out Kenny Deuchar ....
-
Ho hum ... having to listen to Gretna game .... once again Caley Thistle cannot be heard outside the UK .... legally or otherwise. As I cant hear the game, I may go and do something else ... in which case, updates will follow a lot later.

He's a child prodigy with a car seat :015:

In most cases its just the media padding out the story .... for my mind, Brewster is unlikely to be "seriously" linked with any job right now for several reasons, both from an employer and employee point of view .... 1. He hasnt recovered his reputation sufficiently from the problems he encountered at DUFC. Other clubs might be wary. 2. He is still an inexperienced manager and despite his good showing at ICT, most boards would class themselves as bigger than ICT and discount his performance here, thinking that his record at a "bigger" club like DUFC was more indicative of his ability. 2. He himself probably hasnt put the "leave ICT, join one of my former teams" nightmare behind him. He now knows the grass isnt always greener. 3. I firmly believe he sees ICT as "unfinished business" and is here for the long haul, or at least a longer haul than before. Its likely that he might go to someone like Hibs or Dunfermline in the future given that he has history at both places, but the timing is not right at the moment.
-
Good luck to him. He was a player that most of us enjoyed having at the club, and we would have been happy for him to stay. He didnt choose to leave ICT so no animosity towards him.

To all friends, aquaintances and associates of ICT

average 250,000 p/year immigrants compared to USA figures of 800,000 ... considering Canada has a population of 30m and the USA 300m, I would say thats comparatively high.

you think ? Every HP book has, or will be, made into a film and shown to impressionable youngsters and others, many of whom have made JK Rowling a very rich woman in the process by buying squillions of the books .... The Tolkien books on the other hand have been hugely popular amongst a certain demographic for a long time and the films, although spectacular and of better quality will probably have been seen by less people overall, and from a demographic that are not as impressionable. I therefore submit, that as SMEE said above, quality should not be confused with influence .. and the HP series is the more influential set even though I personally enjoyed the LOTR trilogy a lot more
