went to the Raigmore last night to see Hayseed Dixie. Yes - that's right - Hayseed Dixie and they were great as usual so looking forward to a weekend in Ullapool! Anyway the support band were The Rites. Never heard them before but they were great! here's their website http://www.therites.co.uk/main.html and you can download free. they also have a bit on myspace or whatever it's called!! think they are playing on the seedling stage at belladrum too Go on - spread the word!!

Wow!!! What a night! Two support bands Tower of London and Bullet for my Valentine both really good. BFMV finished about 8.30 and by 9.15 the natives were getting restless... My friend who has seen GnR many times said that this was nothing unusual for Axl.. 10pm - some had left by now but for all those souls who stayed i reckon this was the best gig on the tour!! Played till 12.15 non stop. Izzy Stradlin came on for the last few songs too. fireworks during the show and at the end were great! Best Bits? Patience, November Rain, Better, Knockin on Heaven's Door and the usual suspects Sweet Child and the encore Paradise City. Interesting guitar solo of Don't Cry too! Crack was good, Axl had a go at one of the crowd who was heckling him - " this band ain't mcdonalds, and it ain't burgerking, this ain't have it your F**king way" Looks like it was being filmed too..... Sore bones yesterday - must be getting too old for all that jumping about!! The changes will take effect from the club's AGM in August. Mr Sutherland's successor at the helm of the SPL club will be Alan Savage, founder and chairman of Inverness-based international recruitment specialists The Orion Group. He has been a strong supporter and sponsor of the club and its youth development programme. Mike Crowe, head of LifeScan Scotland, the club's shirt sponsors and a major employer in the city, has accepted an invitation to join the club's board. The new Inverness Sports Trust will be launched with a £200,000 donation from Tulloch. The Trust directors will be Mr Sutherland and Caley Thistle director George Fraser, deputy chairman of Tulloch plc. Mr Sutherland said:"I flagged up when I became chairman just under a year ago that I did not see it as a long-term measure because of my other commitments. I also feel that a club like ours should be open to fresh leadership, probably on a three-year cycle. "Thus I will be stepping down but I have put in place a strategy for the continued success of ICT FC under the leadership of a highly successful businessman in Alan Savage, working closely with the Board and Chief Executive Mike Smith, who has full responsibility for the club's administrative and commercial arms. As you may know the Scottish Executive is committed to tackling sectarianism within the game. They have decided to carry out a consultation exercise with fans across Scotland to establish their views on issues of any sectarianism in Scottish Football. The purpose is to discover what practical problems they believe sectarianism causes for the average supporter, and to gather their suggestions for practical solutions they think would limit or eradicate any sectarian structures, behaviours and attitudes around football in this country. Bert Moorhouse, Director of the Research Unit in Football Studies at the University of Glasgow has been appointed as the Independent Facilitator to carry out this task and has or will be meeting with representatives of fans of all SPL clubs and a few SFL1 clubs. He will be in Inverness on Thursday night to meet with any interested fans to discuss this and it is a great opportunity for fans of ICT to put forward their views and opinions. The meeting will be in the Caley Club in Greig Street starting about 7 after the T&T game. It would be really good if a few folk could attend the meeting to put forward their views and solutions. And remember - he'll have heard all the daft ones many times......

i AM sorry CD but what else can we do and that comment was certainly not my response. As i said we were not aware that you had arranged a date or were even that far down the road in your arrangements or that they were more than just a wee get together on the beach which is what your email to me implied. I'm not really sure what we can do here - if you are suggesting that we cancel our 'do' then that is not a decision i can make. Is it not the case that there may be room for both events? ours after all is for members of the supporters club and some of the folk going to yours may not be. there is also the opportunity for folk to attend both events. this was not a deliberate attempt to upset you CD

CD - i remember having the discussion but was not aware that you had fixed a date unfortunately our hands were very much tied by both the fixture list and the club and there was very little else we could do.
