  1. Proctor off, Duncan on. Elgin losing again. It's a little-known fact that if Elgin finish bottom of the 3rd this season and next then they are automatically expelled from the SFL. Here's hoping!
  2. Got there late with an almost flat battery in my camera, so just managed to take these crappy 4-second clips. Sky Sports it ain't. Clach_ICT_1.wmv Clach_ICT_2.wmv
  3. Last game of the season, home v Dundee. If that's a title decider it will be a sell-out for sure. Better start saving, DC!
  4. Defo Rankin. Probably the best ICT goal ever, never mind last-minute winners.
  5. Queen of the South, who play in Dumfries. Looking forward to going back to Somerset Park. Never been to Palmerston but hear it's great too.
  6. Wow. U still like inverness after we come down to tynie and fill you's with cheek for 90 mins. H.I.V CAPITAL, H.I.V CAPITAL, H.I.V CAPITAL! Grow up. I'm definitely looking forward to next season. Make a pleasant change to be challenging for a league title rather than wondering if we'll finish 8th/9th/10th/11th/12th in the SPL. As a season-ticket holder through most of the years since Div.3 days, I think the last 5 in the SPL have been the least enjoyable. Bring on the derby!
  7. Nah, he could play with one leg and still be better than Graeme Bennett
  8. Butcher's SPL record so far. Got to be happy with that.
  9. It's strange to be talking about an ICT legend from the distant past, a player who hasn't been seen at TCS for 10 years or so, and then realising he is 3 years younger than Brewster who is still scoring goals in the 1st. Just shows how looking after yourself can lengthen a player's career, though I seem to remember Iain had a few injury problems too.
  10. Has anyone got footage of Stewarty's 2nd goal against County in the 2nd game played at TCS after it opened? Sand wedge style chip over the keeper from about 20 yards. One of the best finishes I've seen at any level and shows just what Iain was all about.
  11. Reading this post just made me think back to what a superb finisher Iain was. One of the very few strikers who knew that they could beat the best keeper in the World just by chipping it high enough over his head! A genius, and it's a shame that a lot of posters on here maybe never got the chance to see him play. He would be a sensation at TCS now.
  12. Don't think there's anything wrong with being critical of one player in a particular match, but I certainly couldn't be critical of Butcher's tactics and what he has achieved so far. 11 points in 6 games, Extrapolate that out to 38 games and we would have 70 points for the season, enough for 3rd place in all seasons apart from 2005/06. And the 6 games have not been easy ones (OF twice, Hibs & Utd) so it's a fair reflection on how we might do in a full season under Butcher.
  13. A win, or maybe even a draw, in the last game of the month away to Falkirk should be enough for Butcher to take the March award.
  14. Not ICT but I remember Davie Cooper playing at Telford Street in a pre-season game in 1978. He hit a trademark left-foot piledriver into the Howden End that smashed one guys specs all over his face. For some reason that has stuck with me over the years.

Tricky business these nested quotes. Hastings has his chance to get his place back next week. I hope he takes it.
  16. It's worth a good bit less now! Celtic out
  17. That's true. There was a "crowd" of 8536 at the semi replay between Dunfermline and Hibs at Hampden in season 2006/07, so now semi-finals are settled on the day.
  18. I'm sure Ross will be gutted that you don't find him attractive. As for the other players, well you've made your feelings quite clear.
  19. The profits generated by both semis are divided evenly between the 4 clubs involved. I would have a guess at ?250,000 for each club if both of the OF are involved but not playing each other.
  20. The Celtic forum would have a far greater volume of traffic through it and could afford to be more selective about the ads placed on the site. Considering the vast majority of the members of CTO pay nothing, I think it's a cracking site and am more than willing to put up with a few ads I may not like. The alternative would be for every member to pay a subscription.
  21. I'm pretty sure Scotty and CaleyD have little or no control over what ads appear on the site. The ads are necessary as the site has to be funded somehow. Can't expect them to fund it themselves while most of us pay nothing! Yep, I think that's right. Google Adsense uses some sort of keyword bidding system to place appropriate ads on the site. Maybe we should use other terms to refer to R@ngers & Celt1c. Mind you, most of us do anyway!
  22. This is a must win for 2 reasons: The cup semis would bring in a good bit of money for next season. It would totally demoralise Falkirk, who already have to stew upon being bottom of the league for the next 17 days at the very least.
  23. Fantastic stuff. Well done to TB, MM & the players. Enjoy your day at work tomorrow Billy/Hun/Bluenose Boys!
