Mr CJ and I have got it on too, Anderson did well. This 2nd game looks closer?
  3. Thought it was better than it has been in recent years. But Macavenie jokes have past their sell by date, maybe using 1 setch of him a year is just about ok. They need to freshen up the characters and make it more relevant to Scottish football today and the year that has past. Macavenie isn't even a Scottish football personality anymore and anyone under 30 probably can't remember him as a footballer anyway! Speaking on behalf of the younger folk Mr CJ and I both turn 30 this year and neither of us remember McAvennie as a footballer but as one of the main characters on OAE. I too was disappointed by it, mainly because we went to see the one man OAE stage show in 2009 by Jonathan Watson and it was hilarious.
  4. Did anyone listen to the coverage of this on the radio? Mixu came out afterwards and slated his team for being so rubbish! Also one guy backed Sammon to score 1st and 1-1 - at odds of 110 to 1!
  5. At the away end at Telford Street in the 3rd Division, a 35 yard free kick by Richard Hastings to secure a 3-2 last minute win v Cowdenbeath. Only memorable cos my Dad said to me 'only an idiot would shoot from there!'
  6. a whole day's studying was to be rewarded by watching the Blackpool and Man Utd games - both have been cancelled :(

  7. Believe me there's loads of rangers fans going to watch ICT home games and it's part to do with the rubbish atmosphere at home IMHO . It's like the lads that weren't allowed into Parkhead yesterday with their " loyal " flag and it's obvious Rangers links . Since when have Rangers fans had exclusive rights to the word "Loyal" We have many Loyal ICT fans. If narrow minded brainless numpties assume the word Loyal means Rangers fan, well, waste of fresh air IMO. Anyway as for the game Just as well I didn't make it, as I do like a song, and god forbid, I do like to enjoy myself. I am fairly certain Jaime etc and myself would have been in same pub before the end of the game. Dewsbury Dude no offence but I'm glad you never went, after your chest bearing antics at Ibrox I would have feared for your health had you done the same thing yesterday!!!!
  8. Am stuck in the middle on this one. To be honest it would be a right pain in the bum for a number of folk, myself included as travel plans have been made, tickets bought etc and a midweek game doesn't suit everyone. However, I feel that John Reid and his club have a lot to answer for on this subject, they have carried on and on about that one decision, at the end of the day they won the game get over it!!! I think the ref made an honest mistake, we all do it, the world goes on. And another thing, he should look down at his own team benches antics before having the audacity to criticise anyone else's behaviour. If TB acted the way that he did, I would put my house on the fact that he would have had numerous 'bringing the game into disrepute' charges, however Lennon thinks he's immune????
  9. Like Old Caley girl I thought long and hard about replying to this post too. And yeah I'm rising to the bait. I'm a woman and a qualified referee so don't insult my intelligence by saying I know less about the game than you do simply because I have different body parts to you. Many a discussion is held in my and Mr Caleyjag's house about a 'controversial' refereeing decision which Mr Caleyjag doesn't agree with but I can (sometimes lol) explain to him why the referee has given the decision that he has. And to the folk posting about the number of female fans we have I do think that our percentage of female fans is slightly higher than other clubs, I put this down to our club being younger than others, therefore more families coming?? I don't know, but you can certainly tell it when you see the quality of our ladies facilities as compared to other clubs.
  10. If folk have access to Sky and their SPL round up they showed the Hayes chance where he ran in and shot over, one of those at the time you think is close but now wish he had passed into the box!
  11. Scottish ref Craig Thomson had to abandon this game after 8 minutes due to crowd trouble. By the sound of Sky Sports News it was quite nasty....
  12. Think the topic speaks for itself really. Last Saturday after I finished work at lunchtime, Mr CaleyJag and I spent the afternoon watching games and listening to the football on the radio. On Sunday, up and out for breakfast before coming home to watch football from around twelve til round about eleven by the time you count in Spanish games and Match of the Day 2. This weekend?? I was dreading it! Mr CJ took me to lunch in Newmachar, got stuck in traffic on the way to Union Square, spent money I wouldn't have done if there was football on. However today has been quite productive, put up a shower door and shelf in the kitchen, jobs that would admittedly not have been done if there were games on. Add to all this that the tv was RUBBISH today - roll on next weekend!! P.S. RIG, yes you did see someone wear a Caley Thistle top in Union Square yesterday!!
  13. The fact that we weren't charged for parking, the quality programme, the good performance by our team and the fact that Mr CaleyJag and I sat next to a man (no idea of name sorry!) who was quite happy to indulge Mr CJ in his discussing tactics banter :)
  14. Think it was the North of Scotland Cup at Grant Street late 90s the week after Mike Teasdale and Brian Thomson ??) signed for us, and we thrashed our Dingwall neighbours 5-2. Seem to recall Daisy was IMMENSE that day.
  15. You've all missed the funniest point of this story - Honka's full name is FC Honka Espoo!! :)
  16. Think the topic says it all, best wishes to Stuart who gets married on Saturday
  17. I know, my Dad has the picture of him and all the kids who met him up in the office - you're at the front!
  18. Great news for all concerned :D It was obviously top of TB's agenda after we clinched the title and I'm sure he's working tirelessly behind the scenes to secure the likes of Esson, Tokes and Hayes on new deals. I'm sure at least one of them will have signed a new contract before the Scumdee game if not even two. It's also good to see Odhiambo sign a new deal as I believe he'll be a good squad player, he's had the experience he needed this season and has also grown massively in confidence which bodes well for him and us also.
  19. If all goes to plan on May 1st I suggest we play the Drifters Come on over to our place we're having a party (if you don't know it I'm sure it was on a Wimpy advert many moons ago
  20. Me and Mr CJ
  21. Can anyone provide a link to the above, just the highlights from Saturday night? My boyfriend was shown on it and we want to have a copy to show his brother who missed it. Thanks in advance
  22. What channel? Sky Sports 1 after the Hamilton Rangers game around 2.20pm.
  23. Apparentely so yes. The roads were quite quiet all round though.
  24. Mr M, I agree with you entirely however my boyfriend waned me to meet his Dad so I didn't really get much choice! Also I wonder if the screen wash would have frozen if we'd gone that way??? It stopped working around Luss so if you were on the A82 on the 30th and saw some crazy passenger randomly throwing screenwash over their window it was probably me!!
  25. I agree about the state of the roads, between 24/12/09 and today I have travelled from Aberdeen to Sneck, Sneck to Edinburgh, Edinburgh to Fort William (via Glasgow), FW to Sneck and back to Aberdeen and by far the Sneck roads are the worst. I do however appreciate that its had the worst weather. We followed two snow ploughs today along the A96 and one was undoing the good work the one in front was doing! Very frustrating! BTW I work for Aberdeen City Council, I've been off since 5pm on 23rd Dec and only used 3 days holidays because the office was closed!!
