  1. After defending Ike the the other day i feel pretty stupid now as i am going to have to go with Esson for this one. Esson Tokely Duff Munro McBain Imirie Black Cowie Vigurs Rooney Wood have to drop Hastings as his passing matches that of non league football at best....need to drop Duncan as since he has been back we have been rubbish and drop McBain back to left back where he should be playing...he doesn't have the quality to play in midfield. Poor Proctor should have never been put back in after only one reserve game...needs more res games to get him back up and running....noone is ready to come back in after one res game ( especially against Rangers) after been out for the whole of the season so far....just proves brew has no clue. Last point....BRING BACK VIGURS....he is our most creative player going forward and is by far the best forward passer of the ball in the team. Brew waken up and play VIGURS.

do you think brew has the ability to do/get the best out of the players?? I personally don't think he does. i do think your correct though...we have to sort out our management first then move onto removing and bringing in the appropriate players. a tuff job i will admit as we have a good few players that we need to get rid of.

i think your been too kind...our squad is nowhere near good enough and that includes the management and the directer of football. if ICT want to progress they need to get out of this highland league mentality and realise that you need a full squad of quality players...i can't stand it when people make up excuses for players that aren't good enough...ffs we cant continue to think like this....anyone who knows anything about football can clearly see that 90% of our squad are rubbish. now i understand we might not have bundles of cash but there are plenty of players out there that are good enough to play in the SPL and we continue to pay very over rated or very very very past it players. if we stopped that then we would have the cash to bring in the quality we need. p.s caleyd i am not saying you know nothing about the game..just to clear that up.

i completely agree with everything you said there. although i do think tokely is going through a bad spell, i hope he comes good again. Vigurs, Black and Cowie are our only quality midfielders and all three will be gone within two years for sure. the rest just don't cut it in the SPL and anyone who thinks otherwise should raise their standards because they are close to awful players nevermind average. Rooney has the quality, needs a decent run of games...brew is a **** and has no idea.
  5. wow im suprised anyone is getting votes !!!!!!! its a team effort and its completely shocking that a professional side can lose 5 goals in 45 minutes....noone deserves any recognition....period!
  6. i hoped that brew would come good but he just needs to walk away NOW.
  7. i would love to be in the caley changing room at half time to see what crap brew has to say.
  8. i know, what has duff done do be dropped and replaced by a player that hasn't played once this season....brew baffles me.
  9. was it a Fraser mistake??
  10. i would change McBain for Vigurs. this is the first game game i haven't gone to, im just happy that i won't have to watch Roy run about for 90 minutes like a headless chicken again, im getting fed up with it. yes Roy works his tail off but that isn't enough in football, every footballer should work their bollocks off, but without a performance it counts for nothing. get vigurs in there, he's our most creative midfielder everytime he plays, its unbelievable a lad with his talent is left on the bench. im sure if that carries on he will be off first chance, plenty other SPL clubs would love to snap up a youngster with a limitless amount of talent. same old caley, boring !!!! poor duff man of the match against falkirk....dropped today for no reason....we aren't going to have a future if we don't play the future...time to move on and play our more creative talented youngsters.
  11. i completely agree chris123. when chasing a game blackie isn't the type of player that will turn it around for us, he is a side to side and back player, not a forward pass in him, but that's not a bad thing we need players like blackie. its the likes of imirie, vigurs and cowie that can change a game for us with the assist of blackie. i think we rely on blackie too much. we didnt lose the game on tuesday just because blackie wasnt playing we lost it because brew got it wrong along with half the team plaing very under par. whether blackie was injured or not he cant play every single game otherwise he will just burn out.

i think esson is a good keeper and makes a great second choice keeper...i think we should count ourselves lucky to have two decent keepers...i think we should stick with ike. ike is doing fine at the moment and will only get better with time. what i find funny is that people on here are questioning ike's possible request for more money...im sorry but every single person in the world would be asking for more money if you were in the same position....starting every game and on half the wage of some very over rated and well past it players. we should be more concerned with some of our out field players that are too old or just dont cut it in the SPL.

well i just hope blackie is fit and vigurs is put back in.....on tuesday we didnt have one midfielder that showed class or composure, we couldnt even keep the ball on the deck...it was a bloody horrible football to watch. Fraser Tokely Duff Munro McBain Imirie Cowie Duncan Black Vigurs Rooney/Barrowman drop Hastings because he couldnt play a pass on the deck to save his life.

I would say I am a big fan of McBain and love to see him do well, however, i'm sorry to say this season he has given us nothing, he is invisible in every game he plays in, apart from the aberdeen game at the beginning of the season which he did play well in to be fair. I have managed to get to every game this season, and each game I have been accompanied by a different friend who are non caley fans but love football, so I think it's fair to say they are neutral and therefore can give a non-bias opinion when it comes to rating the Caley players. Every game every time I am asked the same question....why does brew play McBain?! So I just wanted to see what peoples thought's were on this?
  15. i'm pretty sure its ligaments. at least a month i'd say.

Fraser Tokely Munro Duff Hastings Cowie Black Duncan Vigurs Imirie Rooney get Vigurs and Rooney back in there.
  17. i thought we missed Vigurs composure and his ability to see a forward pass, a boy with talent like his shouldn't be sitting on the bench watching players that arent as good as he is...i would have played him instead of McBain. Black didnt really rise to the occasion unfortunately. i thought imirie and duncan played well. i think brew was going for experience, cant understand his decision to start wood, saying that wood put himself about. unlucky not to get a draw at the end.
  18. true...sometimes players are complaetely different in games to what they are like in training...so that would make sense to at least see how he is in a game.
  19. heard from reliable source that he isn't as good as what we already have and is pretty average....and has normal pace...i guess we haven't found our much needed rapid winger. which is a shame.
  20. i just hope brew plays our 'passing on the deck/ball' players i.e black, vigurs, duncan, imirie, rooney and cowie because if we just boot the ball up the field celtic's dodgy but massive cb's will clean them up all day...celtic's weakness is their defence and if we get the ball into strikers feet then we might have hopefully a chance. we need the whole team but especially the ones that can make things happen (the mentioned players above) to be on top form. great tester for blackie to really prove himself on sat which i hope he does.

does anyone know what game is been played alba on sat and what time?
  22. where did you here this?
  23. CaleyP replied to roby's topic in Caley Thistle
its a bit concerning of how many games they have lost, as last season the team were also very young and look how well they did. okay they dad have vigurs(19 at the time)Duff(18) and hart but you would still think they would still manage better with the loss of only three players, then again, vigurs cruised at that level and hart was solid. maybe i just answered my own concerns. so do these results suggest we have no other youths coming through with the same quality coz i have seen the players in the reserves play and none of them come anywhere near the quality of vigurs and duff.
  24. I see what your saying i just think a 2 year deal is best. for instance look at cowie...great season last season...this season struggling to get started for whatever reason that may be. black has so far this season been top notch but he hasn't proved himself to be consistant...quarter of the season isn't enough proof...i hope he does sign but two years would be ideal I think for both club and player. you have to agree consistancy is paramount. on his part no player wants to tie himself down unless your talking tens of thousands of pounds a week and he certainly won't get a 5th of that at caley...we all know that caley pay the lowest wages in the league so a player with potential won't want to sign longer than two years. football is such a short career that you cant sign long term deals with low paying clubs and unfortunately caley are one of those clubs.
