  1. Had just stopped and then I saw this - RESPECT
  2. Devotion is loyalty to a promise, vow, person or mission. It means you are consistently trustworthy and loyal. You are willing to sacrifice to uphold your commitment. It means staying the course, even if the challenges are great, and even if you find your energy and will weakening. When you are are devoted to someone or something, the object of your devotion becomes a part of you. Your own sense of well-being depends on whether they are flourishing. This makes devotion risky -- but also profoundly rewarding. Can be linked to both - family first and football second.
  3. I do the off duty
  4. Aye some people will go to any lengths to get feckin noticed
  5. Oh here I negatively go again. I think that it is just as important to have a number of decent squad players waiting in the wings. Again this was a big benefit this season.
  6. Am I being a pessimist or a realist ? We will always be a feeder club - we will always lose our best players. It has probably been a minor miracle that we have managed to maintain the squad over the last couple of season - a complete testament to the togetherness.
  7. I've just been summoned for jury service starting 20 July!!! Just plead guilty then
  8. Was it my eyes or was it the singing but did we not have a bigger support than Falkirk ?
  9. Now this is not a wind up - Was it not strange however that the Central Belt media appear to have focussed on the merger and its effect on the attendances and local interest in ICT. As I was heading home there was a 30 minute debate on the radio and an article in the Scottish Sun. Our issue will always be the retention of players, especially the "better" ones, and the acquisition of players more likely to fit in to the system. That is needed to ensure ongoing "success" or a continuing consolidation of Premier League status. For ICT that will be a continual challenge. Many people need success to keep on turning up. And nobody could say that the "team" at ICT have not done their damnest for the last couple of seasons to attract community support. I have to concede that the Caley support away to St Johnsttone was magnificent and ammounted to 4000 and only 400 turned up at the next game. Sorry to be a bit negative but we need to keep on attracting the kids as I really do not see us attracting many of the adult population on the back of a cup final success. And whilst I can I will continue to wallow in the feeling.

It is the tactics and the intent that will win or lose this match. I just hope that we go for the proverbial jugular and put in performances akin to those made by Preston North End and Norwich City in their play off finals. They both pressed the opposition relentlessly, they both played possession football, they both went ahead early doors, consolidated and then were able to sit back and look to hit on the break. And let us not forget that we are playing against a side who have not had a competitive match for a whole month.
  22. Alls well that ends well - Hail, Hail.
