  1. My old man said be a County fan - I said feck aff, bollicks yer a **** - We took the Jail End in half a minute - we took the Briggs with the Staigo in it - we hammered the Seagulls and we ran St Jones Town too - but you cant trust a gypsy - even if you're tipsy - cos he's a travelling man. Still love : We sail on the HMS Sneck - we lie drunk on the deck - from Inverness town we did roam - we stayed up all night - we got in a fight - this is the best/worst trip we've ever been on - so hoist up the Sneckie's sails - see how the mainsail sets - call for the captain ashore - let me go home, let me go home - I wanna go home, yeah yeah - I feel so fecked up - I want to go home.
  2. The tinks dont need a new stadium - let the cnuts travel to Aberdire - the travellers will love it. At least we have a dump on the outskirts of a city whereas the gudgies have a dump in a dump of a town.
  3. No point to this thread as Tinkerville will bottle it fer shure.
  4. I think that Dungwall may have tinkered with the figures. Lets face it the cheating caravan dwellers count attendances by the feckin eyes. It is bad enuff having a feckin friend living on the Dark Isle far less feckin believing the evil sod.
  5. Are you sure that it isnt Phil Mitchell or Mrs Brown ?
  6. Yip there is a big difference, in my opinion, between "cheating" and deliberately taking a fall/dive. The one that really bugs me is - actually quite a skillful and practised art - is when the attacker deliberately strikes his foot against the tackling foot of the defender. BUT there is an art and many would call it a professional "tactic" when you can see a defender over committing themselves, being late and not timing and/or being clumsy and you hold and take the contact. In that instance the "dummy" is the perpertartor and they cannot blame anybody but themselves.
  7. Are the odds not fer Pat Butcher ?
  8. Well I have to totally agree with that - it has become a bit of a bore and a power struggle that may never die.
  9. I have a wife, children and a grandchild to support = plus the tab at the local.
  10. Yes you're probably right & ive heard it said before Inverness folk are renowned for being very reserved I know exactly what you mean - peeple down here in Chorley are always commenting how reserved I am.
  11. From my perspective Terry and Mo are to blame and really have to sort out the tactics. Playing Tuffey in all the cup games is tosh from the past. You always play your first choive unless you are playing lesser opposition. The Scottish Cup is a real bread winner. How can Butcher persist with playing Proctor in central defence - he is going to destroy the lad. Gillet looks a fromidable "libero" so stick him in there. Then he sticks Shinnie in the middle and the team changes shape again. And he also persisted with the nonsense that didnt work against Stain Midden when he got individuals chopping and changing and the team didnt look like they knew what they were doing at times. Foran aint a central midfielder and you simply cant play one man up against Cellic. As I alluded to last week Terry and Mo clearly have thier favourites and stubbornly stick by them but then they react to other indivduals when they have a bad day at the office. Foran should have feckin slapped Hayes yesterday as I felt that he wasnt giving anything near 100% and perhaps his mind is now set on n ext season. And then Terry blames the players (again) at the end of it. Terry and Mo kmay have had their troubles this season and have dragged us off the bottom but the reason is because of some great individual performances and not the team ethos. Can now see them playing Winnall and Gnapke next week from the start which is fair enuff BUT at the cost of who. Again to be blunt I aing going to Parkdread next week as I can see Proctor and Tokely being kept.in the team.
  12. A bunch of owd Jeggies who are rite up the erse of the housebuilder and have put a Dick at the front. The yanks are also Caddie rats but are the ones with the dosh but also carry a threat.
  13. Oh dear the battle for the control goes in to yet another round - plus the Old Jeggie connection have put their pennies in and got a seat on the board. I wonder what side of the fence they will be taking !! What does Mr Catto think about that ? Internal politics anyone ?
  14. Here we go again - I might have considered going as I suspect that a few others from the Central Belt and Englandshire would have but the time of the kick off, the road conditions and the fact that it was live on Sky would have put a lot of people off. Add to that we are playing Cellic twice in a row and the old novelty element of playing the Old Filth has well and truly disappeared. As fer the atmosphere it is the same as all other home supports. When you are in the away end it is a day out, well oiled and together in a compact area of the ground - plus with a singing section you need some drunken old codgers to get it going.
  15. Starting a conga in the North Stand ? Why didnt I feckin think about doing that ? Have to agree with Dougal here as it is much the same with the likes of Aberdeedn, Hearts and Hibs. Our away support is treated like dirt by some factions but that is down to the crowd controller and individual stewards. When there is a moderation of leniency we have a great old time. Lets face it the bigger the trvelling support then the less the stewrads will become involved due to the concern of crowd disturbances.
  16. Changed feckin times - in my day pupils at Milburn couldnt feckin read or write far less speak a foreign language.
  17. Well IHE was sober and seated in the Main Stand yesterday and I have to concede that although it was overall a pleasurable experience I was reminded how important it is to get pishhed to watch a home game. Nice wee bar area though, good view (free ticket helped) and some good banter. As stated previously that must have been the most insipid first 45 minutes that I have withstood in a long, long time. Midden played some neat stuff but their final pass was abysmal -as fer us everything about the fist half was abysmal apart from some good tackling and the odd good pass, mainly attributed to Gillet and, to a lesser degree, Tansey. Terry and Mo basically got it wrong and played a bedraggled 4-2-3-1 formation with players swopping places and basically showing no sign of cohesion at all. The second half was a totally different game and it became more of an open, end to end game, and it was good to see Terry and Mo have more of an attack minded system and we went for it rite till the end. Add in a couple of good substitutions and the fact that we blew 4-5 good chances to score - we ended up looking the more likely to score, the better side over the 90 minutes and basically very unlucky not to pick up three points - but scores in other games also went for us and the road to survival has now opened up a healthy gap. ESSON :clapping: Never really got tested and got the rub of the green (or crap finishing really) on a couple of occasions. MEEKINGS :clapping: Solid enuff after a bit of a nervy start. Thankfully played the Chav boy Imrie well and kept him out of the game. It looks like his long throw is going to be a tactic this season - although he will have to work harder on his distance and trajectory as the throw is poor in comparison to that of Munros. TOKELY :clapping: He just keeps on going doesnt he. Again he wasnt really tested but kept the defensive line well, was always loookng to block any shots and kept charging forward in the last 10-15 minutes. PROCTOR :clapping: Well for 95% of the time he played well but then makes 3 errors which could have lost us all the points. When will it be that Terry realises that Proc is not reliable enuff to play as the last man in a central defence. GILLET :clapping: :clapping: MOM by a country feckin mile. Very solid defending - aint he feckin lightning in respect of his recovery after tackling - he always was looking to be in space, was attack minded, best passer on the pitch by miles. Peronally I would love to see him get a run as a sweeper type role. TADE :clapping: I said two weeks ago that I would never call him Djebi Tade and then I get this !! He looked feckin lost, even when he was restored in to a lone striker role in the second half. His first touch was diabolical and what a feckin miss in the second half. Terry appeared to go with a complicated swop system in the first half and Gregory was simply confused. Still he will probably be MOM next week as his headless chicken node will go in to overdrive against Cellic. TANSEY :clapping: :clapping: Close to MOM. Really worked his socks off and really got stuck in. Appeared to have more of the holding midfieler role which suits him as he also looks to play balls out of defence. But his shot over the North Stand just sums up his loss of confidence in his shooting. FORAN :clapping: The main positive to me that his advanced thinking allowed Tansey the opportunity to have more time and ability to move forward as Richie held when that happened. But again he is not a central midfielder and is better in a more roving role. Plus his distribution yesterday was woeful ROSS :clapping: Again I was not too sure where Nick was supposed to be playing - and so probably did Nick !! And by the end he was playing as a lone striker. Why he didnt put his napper to the chance late on I dont know but I felt that the Midden keeper made a great block to stop Nick's later effort. SUTHERLAND :clapping: Another one who did not figure out where he sat in the swop system. I have said that I would like to see Shane get a wee run to see whether he is up to the SPL or not - but I wanted that to be as a centre forward as he simply does not have the touch or the awareness to play in wide midfield orin the hole. If anything he is better in the goalmouth mix and getting him to harry the last man. HAYES :clapping: The usual Jekyll and Hyde display although he came too in the last 20 minutes and looked like aplayer who can go on to higher things. Hopefully the Cellic scouts were there yesterday as they would have changed their feckin minds - although I can see Hayes putting on a show next week. Dont know why Terry didnt put the wee man up front with Ross though. CLAUDE :clapping: Well he simply had to get a mention due to the entertainment value that he brought to the proceedings. His antics fair brightened up the day and lifted the support. He looks like a male model and evidently thinks a lot of himself but can he walk the walk down the TCS catwalk. He will also have to hold back on the post tackle gymnastics. Was very unlucky not to score, looks to have a good first touch and pace - and hopefully he will learn to cut out any showboating. TERRY AND MO :clapping: They are dragging us clear but I wish that they would bring more consistency to the system and being rather reactive to individual good and bad displays.

Or the new Steve Bull ?
  20. This is evidently trying times for Terry and he is looking for another three points to create a gap from Leithiopia and Dumbfarmlife. Why else would he be paying for me to come up personally for the game, dinner in Abriachan on Friday night and a cushioned seat in the North Stand. I can however reveal that my suggestion to Terry prior to our meal will be: Esson Meekings, Rosscoe, Chorley Brigger, Gillet Hayes, Tansey, Foran, Tade Sutherland McKay
  21. Somebody call for Nitty Nora.
  22. About time too - yon Cumming ******* must be well over retiring age. As long as he isnt an apprentice Turf Accountant ?
  23. Steve actually appears to have done the rounds of lower league football in Central Lancashire. Born in Preston. Played for Charnock Richard (in the same league where I hung up ma boots!!). He may actually describe himself more as a "Brigger" than a Chorley boy as he spent more time playing for Bamber Bridge. Note that Stuart McAll appears to rate him : McCall still believes Williams can benefit City from playing regularly in Scotland, either coming back with a new determination – or getting his name out there for a potential move. He said: “If Willo does really well, he is in the shop window. We have scouts who come to our games all the time. “If he plays to the highest level he can then people will want to buy him. But it’s down to himself. He’s definitely got potential. Everything’s there that a centre half needs. “Concentration levels need to be better but he has the strength, the speed and ability. It’s down to how much he wants it.” It also appears that his future is also based on protecting his dodgy thigh which has dogged him since turning pro. Lets hope that he isnt a will o the wisp !!
  24. Sounds more like the shout from the back of the Hay Loft or the Thornbush to me ?
