  1. From a cynical perspective it could mean a pay rise and a rise in the decision making process required to keep Foran at the club. I have heard that Granty may actually have asked to be relieved of the captaincy - It didnt really show last season but it did in the SPL. It will allow him to concentrate on marshalling the defence and it may give him the extra "freedom" to perform at a higher level.
  2. Is Niculae getting married? Are we all invited? Nope we are forming a group and singing the feckin caley rap at Eurovision.
  3. Get yer feckin passports ready fer next season boys.
  4. I had a wrap and tuna for ma supper mun
  5. But playing 4-5-1 home and away can lend to this. We went through a great spell when we had Rankin, Black and Cowie in the middle of the park but unfortunately also had the tactical ineptness of Brewster plus the pacy Niculae or the skilful Bayne as the lone striker. Rooney can do that job plus we now have pace and skill on the wings - all that is needed is a playmaker.
  6. Good news - from Fleetwood Town site - nice wee site worth a wee visit: Saturday?s friendly kicks off at 3pm. Turnstile admission is ?10 adults, ?5 senior citizens/under 17s and students under 19. Under 5?s gain free entry. Match day programme is ?1.50. The game is not segregated and all supporters are welcome in Jim?s Sports Bar inside the ground from 12noon. Who said the trams wer'nt working - one of my mates went there yesterday and said the tram practically drops you off near the ground and they are regular and you can sit in a local beer garden to wait for one !! As fer the game - suggest that we meet up in Scruffy Murphys - a wee bog standard Irish bar with concrete floors, wooden tables, cheap grub, real ale and it is close to the Station, the town centre and the tram stops - on Corporation Street. Who is heading down ??
  7. Not necessarily - use the width as I have always done.
  8. Well fer the first year in seasons we sneaked in a better home than away record in the SFL. I suspect that such a statistic will be much harder to acheive again in the SPL. I reckon that a 4-5-1 away from home will bring points but it is our home form that has to be maintained if we are not going to go in to the split in an apprehensive position. I actually think that we should go 4-5-1 at home as well - comments ?
  9. It is supporters like you that drive me insane® - Name names for gawds sake - it is pre season and most are buiding themselves up. Pre season games are good preparation for the club as they are preparation for the season ahead, the chance to look at tialists and for the main men to hone their fitness - but most importantly they are "training" opportunities for the support - a chance to get yerself back in to the drinking and singing and drinking routine that is of significant importance. I am so professional in this respect that I intend to try and keep up the standards of Ayr at Fleetwood Town.
  10. Has such technology actually filtered through to Elgin ?
  11. There is a hooer of an echo on yer phone.
  12. Aye they said at the time that his Patella lining was finnished.
  13. The development of a split personality and an alter ego provides the ability to enjoy both ends of the interpersonal communication scale - a are skill and quality mainly developed at school lunch times in the Hay Loft or whilst scooping cider down the lanes.
  14. What a load of bull **** :)
  15. Can can we win this ? Could be a Tuffey.
  16. Here is an exclusive photo of Stratford and Jimmy Zadi at the pre season training camp
  17. What chance does the poor lad have if he was brought up in Thurso with the likes of Mahonio :P
  18. :024: Mark Brown and Mikey Fraser had a lot of game experience :023:
  19. Apparently Marcus attemped to bangor it down the middle but was put off by the honka of a vuvuzela and skied it. Basically it was a poor finnish.
  20. This guy looks like a good buy - apparently he is knicknamed the Minder.
  21. Good question, Scarlet. Under Brewster he had a holding role, moving back and forth as required, when things got tight at the back. I would point my finger to the "hole" just behind the main thrust of the middle.
  22. Two weeks at Crewe and on to Hellgin - what a feckin CV.
  23. I'll be up for joining you from Preston depending on which train you're getting. Save me some beer. Tell me the time and buy yer own feckin beer. 12:19 from Preston (that's the 12:01 from Chorley by the way). Reaches Blackpool at 12:50 so plenty of time for beer and to get to Fleetwood. I will buy my fecking beer but only if you safe me some, ya pish hied. :P Is that am or pm ?
  24. Where are we meeting up in Blackpool ?
