  1. I am concerned that many are confusing Barrowman and Bannerman - **** me Charlie is at least two foot smaller. Can the boys do a mans job - NO - they need experienced role models.
  2. From the Stoke Sun: ADAM Rooney has bagged two goals in three games on trial at Inverness Caledonian Thistle to strengthen his chances of a loan move ? and of emulating Irish compatriot Anthony Stokes. The 20-year-old Dubliner soon found the net on Caley's week-long trip to Denmark to bolster his case for a season-long move north of the border. And a season in the Scottish Premier League will invite comparisons with Stokes ? his fellow Irish under-21 striker ? following his success with Falkirk to earn a big-money move from Arsenal's reserves to Sunderland. Rooney packed his bags for Scotland to seek the next stage in his fledgling career following loan spells in League Two at Chesterfield and Bury last term. ?I think I will join Caley Thistle,? he commented, ?and I really enjoyed my week in Denmark with all the team. I spoke to Tony Pulis about this season and, as they got promotion to the Premier League, they want to strengthen their squad. .?They want to bring more experienced players in, so it makes it more difficult for me to play. Last year I was in League Two and, although it is good to get games, I think the SPL is a better standard. ?It would be good to play in it, especially as there are big teams in it such as Celtic and Rangers. ?I don't think Stoke are pushing me out, they just want me to get experience and games. The more I play, the more I develop.? Rooney, whose contract at the Britannia Stadium expires next summer, would gladly settle for a repeat of the 14 goals in 16 games Stokes managed when on loan at Falkirk two seasons ago. ?I got into the Irish set-up at the end of under-17 level and moved all the way up to the under-21s. ?I played up front with Anthony Stokes for the Irish team and he did very well for Falkirk. ?He went to Scotland and did well and I would like to do the same as him. He scored a lot of goals and then moved on to Sunderland. ?I know a couple of players in Scotland, Jon Daly and Sean Dillon at Dundee United, as my brother Mark played with them when he was younger. ?I also know Celtic's Jim O'Brien and Darren O'Dea from the Irish team and they all have good things to say about the SPL. ?Hopefully I can come up to Scotland and score goals and that would put pressure on the manager at Stoke to have a better look at me down there Contract ends next summer - That may be the push as well fer the 6 month loan period
  3. Aye ya have a fair point there Don - We are congratulating him for doing what he is being paid fer _ I suppose that it just feels good to hear that the **** has a human side after all - or maybe he is a Tony Bullock - I should add that it is cockney rhyming slang fer Bonnv Good Luck.
  4. Dont worry - It would be against me anyway. Apparently I know too much and anything I say on here may be considered to be slanderous.
  5. You are becoming too militant Don !! Is this the first time that we have been sold down the feckin river ? My man from Stoke wants to keep Rooney as a loan out but he tells me that it is all down to spondoolachs and agreeing what percentage of the wage is down to Stoke.
  6. I agree with the Canadian Dick.
  7. That is what I was feckin asking ? Or did you mean to say pay for us ? Anyway the threat of legal action will bring this thread to a close shortly.
  8. I would prefer to muster ?1000.00. I will phone Bucharest to organise a loan.
  9. Dont even feckin jest. :thumb04:
  10. I said "looked at" - a good striker costs more than players in other positions. At least we are looking at the loan system market.
  11. Non ICT - WOW - The legend has been disowned already.
  12. As the new season is upon us I feel that we have to give the entire set up our support - criticism will be given after the performances. I am now led to believe that recent occurences at the club may well have shackled us from spending spondoolachs in the transfer market but I am still concerned that we appear to be sticking with the Brew Faves as well. The positives are that we appear to be giving the yoof of ICT a better opportunity to experience SPL football and with the likes of Duff, Vigurs, Zander and Wood - that can only be encouraging fer the future of the club. It is also a positive that we have looked at strengthening in the striking department and have managed to cling on to the like of Cowie. My big concern is that we have not drafted in some experienced players - especially in defence and potentially a holding midfield player. I fear that we are placing too much expectation on the likes of Tokely, Maguire,Hastings and Duncan to provide that experience. They may have the SPL experience but their performances have not given us the hope that they will be able to keep us afloat - they are all too Jekyll and Hyde. we simply dont have a Bobby Mann figure who can play balls intelligently out of defence - on the floor as well. My other concern is around Grant Munro. the captaincy appeared to weigh him down last season. He is still only young and developing - two more years with a Dods like figure would have been ideal. The expectations on him to hold a realtively young side together this season is equally if not more taxing. So lets hope that the "hoof" tactic is dropped to an extent and that we look to attacking - I would prefer to lose 4-3 than 1 or 2-0. Lets hope that the younger players develop quickly and are allowed to make their marks. Lets have some consistency in formations and tactics and lets use the feckin bench more appropriately. Well - Here's hoping
  13. Due to the apparent threat of legal action I will be brief. What has happened about the Mercenary ? - Has he played for Dinamo Diddies yet ? Did we get the spondoolachs ?
  14. Aye well done to Mr Brew - that is the kind of touch and action that will always be appreciated. My criticism, as with the Mercenary, were never directed from a personal angle. From what I can tell MR B comes across as a very affable gentleman. I would say that he is one of the best players that I have seen at the TCS - I also think that he initially turned us into a far better outfit in regard to his fitness, diet manifesto. I do however have concerns about his overall man management skills and the fact that he appears to bring personal feelings into the professional arena. I also have grave concerns in regard to his tactical awareness and astuteness.
  15. Unfortunately the fact that we are so split about the team fer the first game of the season says it all. And then the apparent agreement that Brewster will play the wrong team, the wrong formation and the wrong tactics say even more.
  16. Personally I really like Granty as he is a local lad who has come up through the ranks - but as per usual has been pushed too far too soon. I thought that he really suffered from the responsibility of captaincy whereas before he was really progressing as a player. He really benefitted from Dods and I still feel that he needs a player of experience playing alongside him fer another 2-3 seasons before he blossoms. Maguire and Proctor do not fit that need. I really fear fer our defence this season and I fear that Granty may take a lot of flak cos he will be looked at as the leader and the organiser.
  17. YES - Ian Black is going to be the next John Rankin - would you believe me if I said that it was Brewster who was the one holding out ?
  18. I would like to bet that the feckin hammock holding Scotty must be made of feckin steel mesh or he has been hypnotised to believe that he could float.
  19. The main website is boring as you cant really get barred from it plus it is full of inaccuracies or so itappears or so I am given to believe. :thumb04:
  20. Feck me - I am finding maself agreeing with CaleyD more and more - Of course we cant sack the Board BUT how much more of the amateurness, the ineptitude and the embarrassment can we suffer ?
  21. Why dont we have a handicap and promote Shearer and let the Brew/Shearer combo take on the SPL - Victoria park next season anybody ?
  22. I suggest that we NEED an official club statement about this or we will lose any credibility. Tell us ICT's version NOW.
  23. You are falling into the Stevieco trap Tom - My comments at present are about the future of ICT and that is my drive - I heavily criticised the Mercenary from a footballing perspective last season - with a large portion of OTT baiting and wind fer all the Marius obsessives - which probably detracted from my viewpoint - but it was worth it. Stevieco gets rite up my nose as he just denies that the mercenary has EVER done anyhing wrong and that the Mercenary has been the wronged party since day 1 - GTF. I am actually saying that it is a combination of a few parties - but Marius is far from feckin perfect and his greed is now showing through. Stevico pertained to a 30% pay off NOT a 20% and he whinges about Kaiserlautern - if he isnt the agent then who is ? ICT can agree an official approach - are we supposed to take 100K less becos the player prefers it :thumb04: Of feckin course he arranged the deal with Dinamo. And are you telling me that two clubs communicated and both misunderstood if it was sterling or euros. :018: ;) Is there anything as a verbal agreement these days - GTF. Stevico - why was he a witness if he wasnt involved - you put pen to feckin paper. BUT if it was part of a written contract then the Mercenary unfortunately has a point. Lets get the mercenary and Stevico back to Eastern Europe .
  24. Just to look again at some of the statements made by the Mercenary's mate - 100 K euros as the SECOND part of his signing on fee - what was the first payment ? 30% of the sellin on fee - WTF - are we led to believe that ICT agreed to this ?? - without any Orion assisstance. As if the Mercenary had never had any contact with Dinamo before 19/07 - GTF. The club accepted a bid without the Mercenary - or his agents knowledge - The mercenary would have pocketed a cool 300 k euros fer that. A very clever post from the Mercenary camp - trying to project the blame on to everyone apart from the Mercenary - who clearly now smell os the same manure as a few others. What would we be calling him if he derived from Ross-shire. FECK OFF THE LOT OF YOU
  25. I hope so - reading between the lines - that Granty is suggesting that we could be buying in an experienced defender with leadership skills.
