Time to outshout the away fans
But fer fecks sake remember to do it sitting down. :023:

Positives
The suggestions were quite rife actually - and it is no secret that Shearer was approached last season. After the CC and Brew debacles the Board could not boot out Tonalt. I am extremely pleased.

Team for Hearts Game
I wouldnt play Niculae in that system. :rotflmao:

Positives
Lets have a thread about the positives: Tokely appears to have improved and the arrival of Proctor may have been the catalyst. McGuire actually looks like a handy addition. We have unearthed an unlikely beauty playing McBain at left back. Cowie looks like being the best signing in years. Duncan and Black appear to have got their act together. Brew is the extra player we needed. Donald Park now thankfully appears to be staying the course. The Romanian media have been pacified.

Dennis Wyness
Surprise - Surprise - but Denzil has impressed me so far this season BUT he is not being played as an out and out stiker. Denzil is a predator; a penalty box goalscorer. So far this season he has taken on the "worker" role, a bit Bayne-esque - constantly making runs and movement but for some strange tactical reason he is practically playing close to Niculae or on the same line. When he came on against Hibs he played yards in front of Brew and constantly looking to get beyond defenders, sniffing for an opportunity. i would again say that we appear to have changed our system and it aint suiting Denzil. Deano would be lost if he had to play in the withdrawn role. The problem on here at the moment is that we are all worried and frustrated - we are seeking reasons fer what is going on and scapegoats are a-plenty.

Whats this crap?
Very good point and where was the original request for the Singing Section to be housed ? :024: And Eliza - the same could be said about sections of the home support at Fir Park and Love Street. The stewards tolerated it. At ICT the stewards appear to go out of their way to provoke a response. There should be a half way compromise.

Whats this crap?
It is just another well known "management" tactic used widely in autocratic businesses. In lay terms it is called deliberately setting up to fail. Very clever :008:

Next Five Games
Good post Chemist. Gretna will soon be drifting away and we will be starting to pick up points. We have thrown away five games becos of behind the scene pressures, poor or enforced selections and a frustrating lack of pace and penetration up front. I feel that the Hearts game will be a turning point fer ICT - potentially even bigger if we are beaten. But good times are a coming. :001:

Team for Hearts Game
I reckon that the powers to be will direct little change from the Cellic game. Hopefully after another defeat Brewster will be finally allowed to play a team of his choice.

Whats this crap?
This is, in lay terms, utter crap - it is another total feck up by the Board and it is their pathetic way of getting out of it - The tone will be - we gave you an opportunity and you didnt take it. :008: The one thing that had to be exercised was increasing tolerance from the stewards. If it had just been left to run then people would have adjusted. More feckin tokenism - This running of this club is going to the feckin dogs.

Grrr
Sharp as a feckin razor CB - but a kick in the bollicks afterwards would have been more effective.

Time to drop Fraser
Personally I think that we should have gone fer an experienced keeper in January - but we didnt and we stuck with Fraser. He does remind me so much of Brown -in the positive and negative sense. It would be nigh on ridiculous to drop Fraser after keeping the faith fer so long. The position that we are in places pressure on everyone and the goalkeeper more than most. The only way that they could axe Fraser is if he had a howler. Now if we had a more reliable reserve / replacement that decision may be easier to make. I am afraid that the next two games are a crossroads fer a few individual but Mike is under the mircoscope more than most. Cometh the hour?

Next Five Games
It all depends on whether Brew is allowed to pick his own team.

Brewster and/or Niculae ?
The bottom line is that they are too alike to play together. Brew actually looks the fitter and the more mobile at the moment although Marius is on a par in the respect of control and touch.

Euro Door Closes
Have to say that I fully agree with the decision. The Scottish Cup has lost its appeal to the likes of the OF but it is still THE trophy to win fer the rest. Never mind, Beachcomber - I am shure that if Nairn win it the blow of not playing in Europe may not be too heavy. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Celtic V ICT - Matchday Thread
Yes you are becoming increasingly tiresome. Read my post again and read some of the other posts afterwards. And then read the start and the end of yours. If anyone is being feckin negative and bitter and personal it is YOU !! :blah01: The point fer yer miniscule brain is that we are playing really well but losing goals and have little to offer UP FRONT. It is from midfield that most of the shots are being pinged. At last - others - apart from the irritating Kencar - are beginning to appreciate my frustration with Niculae. Naelifts and Wanderer have got it spot on. Marius is a class touch player. If we persist with him we need pace and runners and he needs to follow up on his touches as well. Brew can already do that. I am concerned that we appear to be building our tactics and our selection around him. Kencar again strangely agrees with what I have been saying all along - playing 4-4-2 at ParkDread is applaudable but also football suicide. We could have played 4-5-1 with Brew or Bayne but nobody else. I was one of the punters that got frustrated at Brew continually picking himself - but anyone who saw his performance at Easter Road will appreciate that he ishould be an automatic choice in certain games - and yesterday was one of them. Yesterday was always going to be a hiding to nothing - and for some reason Brew rarely picked himself fer the OF in his first stint - usually going fer Bayne. We are getting to a stage where changes will have to be made. Will Brew be allowed to be radical? If it wasnt fer Gretna I think I would be being a lot more critical and a lot more voiciferous. The next two home games may well fashion our season. Cue - Kencar :012:

Were you a Tartan Army Virgin maimie ? But - feck me - what a choice to be deflowered !! You will be able to say I was there whnever this glorious win is discussed over and over again. But did any of the lads get down the Pigalle. :023:

Celtic V ICT - Matchday Thread
My feedback was that we played in much the same vein as at Easter Road - well in the first half anyway. We played some nice stuff and were very unlucky not to score. Celtic scored a third and went into third gear. Playing 4-4-2 was always a suicide tactic. Niculae played some nice touches but is still not mobile enuff. He looks fer passes to his feet and not getting behind defenders. Still - reported to have looked a bit sharper today. We have no killer pace or finish up front. Brew has to come back. Still today was always a hiding to nothing - but there will be no hiding during or after the next two games.

Brewster and/or Niculae ?
WOW :crazy07: 60% have gone fer both. I wonder how many have not been to any of the last four matches, how many are members of the Romanian media and how many times the sensitive Stevieco has voted. :001:

Tactics for Celtic game...
IMHO playing a 4-4-2 at Parkdread, with Brew and Niculae up front, would be tactical suicide and open a debate as to whether Brew has delusions of grandeur or that he does not have carte blanche in regard to the selection or both. I feel a poll coming on. And hopefully not Zibi. :rotflmao:
