  1. We are all putting down the same teams here but would anyone be surprised if Butcher just went same again - we won at Midden and he made one change which was probably expected - we got another point yesterday - unbeaten so far in the dreaded split - Butcher may think that he has more chance of being hung drawn and quartered if he suddenly changes the mix and it backfires. Lets face it - Fraser is as good as Esson and he - for whatever reason is the chosen one - he has lost two goals in two matches and not been at fault at either - can you drop him? Proctor was poor at Midden but better yesterday - the only thing ya can do with him is to put him in midfield and put Rosscoe back at full back and then upsetting the system and the rhythm - What better in centre defence than two big men who are clearly totally devoted to the cause - Lionel has little left back quality to challenge him - taking anyone else in may be viewed as being a risk but I hope he got a real bollicking. McBain protects the left flank and has a great engine and therefore there is no alternative to putting Imrie on the rite. Black and Kerr are clearly the first choices in central midfield. No arument about foran up front and Morais is clearly a match winner plus we now have Eric to come on effectively as the pacey substitute. That could be Butchers rationale and difficult to argue against - but the pressure may not be as harsh at Well and hopefully he will play with width, on the deck, have the midfield supporting Foran and let Morais have a free role. I BELIEVE
  2. Now that I may have to concede - I accept that he is being used as a bit of a scapegoat and others are missing out on the flak becos of it. But the timing for the honesty was terrible - when he says that in the National Press he is advertising the fact to the other teams. He played OK at Midden even if he made the mistake for the goal. If you see ma Smileymometers I have been giving him 3/5 most of the time. But he cannot be allowed to play like he did yesterday - that was a backward step and I cannot but help stating that the quote may have affected him. Tell him that all he has to prove in the next three games is that he can defend in an honest manner. He cannot be allowed to ***** foot about - I would be quite happy to watch him hoof everything, stick to his position and zone and leave the football to the others. I also think that McBain has been introduced to "protect" the left flank - and if that is the case - is that not a waste of a player - Imrie swopped when they went down to 10 men and the pressure was off Zadi. Anyway I aint going to say no more - Please Lionel - just feckin hoof the feckin ball till the end of the season.
  3. Me, ma boy and the Glesga faithful - shall we make it Jack Daniels or the supporters club. If we have a few we could phone up JD and they will open up the lounge fer us. There are a few Travel Lodges close by but its a fair trek from the airport.
  4. Yes that type of more defensive set up would be more likely to bag us a point - with a return to the previously successful 4-5-1 and hit on the break game plan - plus you would have Eric coming on fer the last 30 minutes to stretch the defence even further. Unfortunately I dont think that Butcher can risk it. But he can still put an attacking emphasis on it - and lets face it - we aint at our best defensively at the present time - I am certain that we are going to have to endure the most nerve wracking 180 minutes of our short existence - note that I didnt say 270. :)
  5. It is probably too late to axe Zadi. I would have brought back Hastings 5-6 games ago to see if his lay off had got him to pull his socks up Putting him in now would be an equal risk. I advocate McBain cos there aint anyone else and I have always felt that he has looked the part when he has played in that position. The one thing about McBain is that he can defend and he is a no nonsense player. Vigurs could have been another but again that would be a risk now Zadi is OK when he is in the opposition half or when we are dominating the game nd takes no risks - there are games when he has stuck to that but he ALWAYS appears to make a crucial error and he was abysmal yesterday. But I am worried about - Translation error or not he is saying what many of us have said all season - but given his performance yesterday he is NOT learning - and secondly the press and the media are now beginning to ridicule him - the large majority of the fans are losing faith BUT most importantly it is clear that some of his team mates are losing faith. I would also suggest that the opposition coahing staff have sussed him as well. I said it weeks ago but it is worrying that the Assistant Manager of the National team continues to keep faith in a player who could put the club at risk - and yes playing Munro in front of Pavels may be in that context as well. Believe it or not I wish he had scored one of those shots at Midden or yesterday - It would have done his and our confidence the power of good. Just lets hope that he has been mightily bollicked and he plays a no nonsense game like he did at castle Greyskull.
  6. :) Feck me - you made me laff
  7. It has been said on another thread but Fraser didnt have Proctor looking fer a throw out and he was rightly not stoopid enuff to throw it to Lionel - unless he had thirty yards of space around him. I would agree that Esson always looks like the one with the most urgency but Fraser hasnt let us down
  8. Personally I feel that we should attack Muvversmell - lets use the pace of Morais and Obdhiambo - play with width and passion.
  9. Why dont you all read the quote - that is how Lionel sums himself up - Come on - is that not worry you at this satge in the season ? The only positive is that Lionels terrible mistakes today didnt lead to goals - as they often do. Watch the Setanta highlights - his own players think twice before passing to him.
  10. I think that the bottom line is simply that Easton is a class player and Camara is a Zadi.
  11. No - Realistic man - When you need to have your best X1 out to battle fer survival you simply dont NOT carry passengers or possible kamikazes. Have a look at the Setanta re-runs and listen to what their commentators said - I watched it with a bunch of workmates and they were laffing their feckin socks off at Zadi.
  12. Your defensive support is laudable but very short sighted - read what HE actually feels about his performances - I just feel that it is incredible for a professional footballer at SPL level to make such a damning indictment on himself. That really fills you with confidence doesnt it ? And will today's performance help his confidence and that of his team mates and the support ? Munro is covering fer Lionel fer fecks sake - and today so was McBain - especially when he was aked to drop deeper and help out - Jeez what is Butcher playing at.
  13. As usual you are correct and I apologise - I just felt that it would be kindness to give him ONE. Don - his mistakes in the first half and the unbelievably poor pass that set up Offiong in the second half could have relegated us
  14. Scottish Sunday Mail : " Its my first season in the SPL and not easy. I keep making mistakes but I am working every day to sort that. When we're doing well then make an error its always me ! The exclamation mark is from the paper - WTF - Guess who - he made at least five of them today - but WTF - he is aware of it, honest and is learning :thumb04: :018:
  15. Fraser Proctor Rosscoe Granty Royster Morais Black Kerr Imrie Foran Obdhiambo Thank feck we are playing away !!
  16. Fraser :thumb04: :018: Didnt really have much to do but looks more confident with crosses and distribution was excellent - No worries in goals for the last three games Proctor ;) :015: Did Ok but he aint a Rosscoe. Rosscoe :D :P :021: Doing well with Granty - Centre half fer the season. Granty :D :D :D Looks more comfortable with Rosscoe Zadi :D A complete and utter liability - made FOUR BIG MISTAKES today but got off with them. Royster even had to double team at the start of the second half - he is NOT the man to have when it goes down to the wire IMRIE :D :D :D Well marshalled by Easton - looked a lot better when he went left KERR :D :D :D :D I like him - he is solid and there is a tightness between him and Black BLACK :D :D :D drifted out of the game in the last quarter. MORAIS :D :D :D Frustrating - in and out of the game - but is the type of player that can turn it around with one touch of skill FORAN :D :D :D :D My MOM - should have been up front yonks ago. BUTCHER :D :D Bad day at the office - Got it well wrong in the first half.
  17. Squeaky Bum Time continues - 2 points out of 12 against Hamilton - not good enuff !!
  18. DOH - or are we deliberately setting ourselves up for a 0-0 or a 1-0 ? Please tell me NO.
  19. Watching this on Setanta is nerve wracking - We are looking second best and they dominated the last 10-15 minutes. Apart from Imrie missing a sitter and a great save from Morais - I would take 0-0 rite now Dzebi Zadi is having an absolute mare and we are lucky that Hamilton didnt score from at least three of his mistakes - shurely Butcher must see that they are targetting him !! Imrie is getting nothing out of Easton and why are we playing Morais down the middle with the hoofs to Foran - this game as bad tactically as any before post Butcher. Still Fraser looks confident - Rosscoe and Granty look solid - as do Kerr and Black except fer getting in each others zones too often Royster is doing his Mr Invisible. Please hook off lionel and drop Royster back - put Imrie left, Morais rite and get on Obdhiambo or Rooney - we simply have to change it and start playing feckin football on the ground - wide - in the channels.

  21. Wow - we've swopped left backs and nobodys noticed
  22. But just think if the club had the balls to make a section - an open singing section - and tell the feckin yellow coated eejits to get tae feck - that could be Midden x 4 every feckin week. Just imagine that !!
  23. Sp - he is feckin english fer fecks sake - get a grip.
  24. Ok - pack it in - Gillian and I had a love child and we want him to stay. Shurely the older posters must have seen the likeness to my style when I was a top footballer?
  25. Do Killie have a bus running from the Chorley area ? Or are you worried that you may be going down after the game ?
