  1. I?d like to see Rooney given a run of games ? he looks more hungry, does more running and links better with the wide players. Obviously, he?s not proven as a goalscorer, but neither is Barrowman. In my view, Wood did much better than expected on Saturday and caused Celtic's defence some problems. He needs to work on his first touch though as too many times he got himself in a good position around the edge of the box but lost the ball by just failing to control it. He looked more assured once Rooney was on with him. How can anybody be as thick as they look ? No I think it will come out before any individuals move on But some of us know already but are under censure to keep their gobs shut !!
  2. An Armed Response Unit is presently raiding Joe di Maggios house looking fer sharpened keyboards.
  3. I know I have said this before but Brews continuing ploy to play wide players on their less favoured foot continues to irk me. Cowie clearly favours his right - why even consider playing him on the left apart from short spells of interchange. Imrie very clearly favours the left and, although he defended well against Cellic looked more comfortable when he went back to the left. Vigurs likewise - although I notice he never puts Royster on the right. The only one who ever looks comfortable is Bazza but he hugs the line and is fed the ball and gives himself and others space. I still feel that Cowie should be a la Bazza - or at least tried out in that role. And play the wide men in their favoured positions whilst allowing for a lesser degree of interchange.
  4. Here are a few statements to chew over: I feel that the management were caught unawares of the Mercenary jumping ship and their plan was for him to teach Barrowman, Wood, and Rory the trade. I feel that Rooney was a desperate last minute afterthought. With what we have got I have been advocating 4-5-1 at home and away but I have to concede that as we dont have a forward who looks capable of doing the lone striker job at home I feel that we have to go 4-4-2 at home from now on. What frustrates me is Brew chopping and changing every week - and it is not all about injury. He has even thrown Cowie into the pot which quite frankly is a waste. So if it was a 4-5-1 away from home - who would the first choice be. Mine would be Barrowman becos he has more experience, more movement, a better first touch and he is a more natural goalscorer. My second choice would be Rooney as he is more mobile than Wood. So I would say lets give Barrowman a run of games as the lone striker away from home - I mean 4 to 5 games. If he is not available stick in Rooney. That has to mean that we go fer Barrowman and Rooney at home with Wood in reserve. But Brew has to make his own decision but he has to stick to it. He is chopping and changing and getting no consistency - he is doing similar things in midfield yet he stays loyal to his back five !!!!
  5. Aye - damned if you do:damned if you dont. Yas did well but I think yon Birddog geezer should have got a few per cents on his warnings. I would have reported a few of them but they were scary and I feared reprisals How the **** have I still got a feckin fifty per cent warning rating !! Is that cos ya love me and I am one of your faves. Oh and can ya stop putting ***** in those feckin asterisks - I nearly got reported for that.
  6. Now why am I not so sure about that. I will ask ma Stoke season holding boss.
  7. Freudian slip of the day :thumb04: :018: ;) Could have been worse - could have had a **** playing up front.
  8. To be shure - To be shure - only a thick Oirishman could be so feckin naieve or so feckin clever - I can see a movie at the end of meselfs visit to Inverness - just hope it aint Four friends and a funeral. What the **** is this garbage doing on the main site anyway.
  9. It may be helpful fer peeple to look outside of secretarianism and look at the events of the fans at Millwall on Saturday. Leeds reacted violently to Millwall fans chanting "Istanbul" at them whilst actioning cutting their throats and stabbing each other. Is that banter, is that harmless wind up or is that out of order or even criminal ?
  10. McBain had a wee run at left back last season and was mightily impressive - especially at Easter Road. He is a good defender, with a bit of pace, a feckin non stop engine, he can pass and cross a ball and he has the energy to go forward and get back as well.
  11. I would have to agree - There has been some pure venom cascading on to the threads today and I would say that it is tantamount to cyberspace homicide. I too have been unjustly banned and vilified for petty offences but some peeple today have been guilty of haneous crimes. Thankfully the sense of Brand New Poster has prevailed and reefinweed has been an excellent peace maker. Thank **** we havent been talking about any gay Eastern European travelling person who now lives in a caravan in Dungwall. Perhaps Scotty and Don are showing you what can happen when they aint around - it wasnt feckin serious - unfortunately it wasnt funny either - just boring and embarrasing.
  12. Unfortunately yes - but I just kept it to wind up the Huns.
  13. This could have been a great wind-up opportunity but I am afraid that peeple are not grasping the bottom line here. I am all fer winding up the oppo but I would never stoop to the level of sectarian taunts - that puts us rite in the bile like the weegie scum. Now calling them potato munching weegie scum may be offensive to some but it winds most of them up a lot more. Some peeple are over feckin sensitive about a lot of songs that are sung on the terraces. Most songs and most chants are born out of banter and wind up - most peeple in crowds will probably have a quiet wee titter over them. Look how this board has become oversensitive about the word g.y.p.o. - it has and always will be a wind up taunt - nothing more - until some **** with a feckin oversensitive personna turns up. A lot of the older generation are more touchy about the sectarianism as it was part and prcel of our era. I reckon most of these lads dont understand the history and are only out fer a laff. Bottom line lads is - Wind the oppo bestards up to the limit, carry on singing the provocative songs, carry on with the name calling and the terrace banter but fer fecks sake - keep religion out of it and leave the sectarian baiting to the scum who advocate the IRA and the UDA and the UDF.
  14. I think it is more a case of who you know rather than what you do. Wood is the local lad and Rooney was a last minute signing afterthought. Rooney and Barrowman are different players but neither are really showing the requisite specifications to be lone strikers in the SPL. Wood isnt even at that stage. I have a sneaky wee feeling that some peeple at the TCS were simply over-confident that Marius would stay - at least until Xmas - and thought that he would be the ideal role model and teacher to the youngsters. But shurely our management didnt **** up again ?
  15. I always thought that the Millburn was a Special Needs school and its only use was the Playing fields where the likes of Urquhart, Milroy and MacKenzie used to terrorise and dominate the North of Scotland Schools competition.
  16. That is disgusting and she should have been ejected for indecency - how can anybody be allowed to stroll around with a strapped on *****. Feckin asterisks - dilldo
  17. :thumb04: :018: ;) their "god" shut - freudian slip of the feckin month.
  18. Well nobody got the Cellic game rite which shows the inadequacies and favouritisms of Brewster: FRASER PROCTOR DUFF MUNRO McBAIN COWIE BLACK DUNCAN IMRIE VIGURS - (and stop feckin playing peeple out of their comfort zones - but again I expect to see Imrie on the rite and Cowie on the left - ) PAUL RITCHIE OR CRAIG BREWSTER - but we seriously have to stop chopping and changing and stick to the one favoured lone striker and get into the habit of a 4-5-1 system - unfortunately I suspect that Wood will be Brewsters choice.
  19. I thought Cowie was our only outlet up front in the first half. He did a lot of running and he always sought to hit the bye line and put the defenders under pressure - I have to admit that his final pass at times was poor but he has pace and he had little support from his peers when looking to play a quick ball. I am more frustrated by the fact that Cowie has not been given a specific role in the side and it cant do him any good at all that he appears to be shunted from position to position within the side. I have always felt that we should play Don consisitently in a Barry Wilson role, get him hugging the touch line, give him the ball and let him use his pace and undoubted crossing skills. I am afraid that I have to agree - to a fair extent - but Imrie switched off fer the first as well, leaving Rosscoe exposed and he took the wrong choice. The second goal started from a woeful Hastings mistake and it was a great leap and header by Loovens - I dont think that any defender could have prevented that - and the third goal was again almost created cos Hastings switched off and was well out of position - having said that I think that it is well time to bench Rosscoe, Hastings and McBain. I too am positive about our yoof - Duff and Vigurs should be given their chances and extended runs, as both have shown that they can hold their own at the SPL standard. Wood is raw but a long way off and playing him may be a real knock to his confidence. I fear that he is a Rory in waiting. Look at the difference the maturity and experience of duncan makes fer our team. We are a pretty enuff young side but we could be heading for the SFL becos the one thing that we are missing is a goal scorer or a forward with experience at the level who can hold things up and make things happen. That was a major, major boo-boo in the summer transfers and if we dont get somebody of that ilk in over the Xmas period we could be in a real dog fight.
  20. Well - NOBODY second guessed the Shamen Brewster - just wish he would act like a true feckin Shamen.
  21. Rite - that is it - I need to pop back to Sneck and give all you whingeing cnuts a rite good slapping - unless you buy me a pint of course. Seriously though - we are just lowering ourselves to the OF gutter level if we start singing the sectarian bile - lets just stick to the anti-**** melodies.
  22. Maybe so but I would only rate her as a 6/10 in the sack.
  23. As a lone striker? Or as one of a partnership? I think Rooney is our new Bayne - do you think should he have played alone up front today, or alongside Wood? I think Wood played well with the ball to feet today and that Brewster was proably right to start him - just can't decide whether we should have started Rooney alongside him in place of McBain, or played Vigurs in midfield in place of McBain. I would deffo have played Vigurs instead of Royster - To be perfectly honest I am not overly impressed with any of our strikers and I feel that we ahve made a big gaffe in not signing an old head centre forward and/or a forward with real pace.
  24. Mike Smith's arse hopefully - sideways attached to a pole.
  25. Good old Squirrel :thumb04:
