  1. At home and against an atttack minded Hibees ya need a holding player. McBain is the man in possession. McBain also covers the left hand side which allows Rankin freedom. Caff and Bayne fer Dods and Wyness.
  2. Read all the truth in the Rumour Mill thread. :001: And what about this: « Reply #213 on: July 26, 2006, I am reliably informed that Dods is the most irate about the whole thing whilst Dargo and Black are being more professional about it. I would NOT be surprised if Dods is not in the starting X1 on Saturday. AND: « Reply #242 on: July 31, 2006 Brewsters "blueprint fer the future" proposal to the Grocer was built around Dods, Black and Proctor at the end of last season. The Grocer agreed to back him then but evidently did not count on the doggedness of ICT. ET is a "wounded" psychopath and I am reliably informed that an official Arab approach is to be made within the next 24 hours. This will include requests to formally speak to the three players unfortunately. As for the semi informed Arab - A couple of stoopid bids fer Dods were attempted. They are still on the table.
  3. I bet they are dying fer a feckin swally rite now

Not rally shure. As you can see from the piccy it is about 12ft x 6ft. Only problem is that a lot of SPL grounds will not let you hang it up. It has to be draped across the seats. Tannadice and the Old Firm are the worst. :008: :008:
  5. Lee Wilkie is going to GRETNA.
  6. Apparently the reception staff at the Stadium are advised to refer to Terry if they receive any calls about transfers, specifically from Dundee contacts.
  7. This thread is a load of Parrat droppings.
  8. I just do not understand people who take articles or press stories and add their own meaning to them.
  9. May 02, 2006, 07:47:58 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am reliably informed that Brewster has made an official approach to ICT and has laid now the ammount of money he is currently been backed with by the Grocer. At the present time and I cannot see it changing, Black and Proctor will be at Tannadice next season. 59 on: May 20, 2006, I am very reliably informed that Brewster and the Grocer made their first move at the end of the season. They basically stated that the three players that they were interested in were Dods, Black and Proctor and they even had the cheek to say what they were willing to pay for all three, which is rumoured to be 100K. ICT offered to sell Black alone at that price and Proctor at approx 25K. It is now oscillating between 35-40K. Probably end up at approx. 37K
  10. Dont worry. I will keep youse all up to date.
  11. I would be indebted to the motley crew who actually stood on the Hill of Dung yesterday fer their opinions on a few observations. I am presently reduced to a Setanta viewing of games, and gawd it is feckin doing my head in, but here we go. The Aberdire goal looked offside. Dods appears to be getting the main blame but it certainly looked as if Rosscoe was flagging and may have been the main culprit. I take it that Dods was wearing the captains arm band? I also note that there were comments about his distribution..but that has always been poor. Did he perform as usual? When Bazza scored and ran towards the Main stand Dods was one of the first there to celebrate with him. Should we not perservere with Dods if he stays? From last weeks comments many, unusually, were suggesting that Russell Duncan was MOM against the Midden. IMHO McBain has always been my pick fer the holding role. I feel he is more mobile and more skilful. Has he earned another starting place against the Hibees. Rankin looks the part and appears to be a fine passer of the ball. What is his running off the ball like and how does he blend with Blackie. Wyness appears well short of confidence. Bayne may not be Mr Skillful but he is certainly Mr Energy, Mr Stamina and Mr Getinaboutya. Shurely he is a better foil fer Dargo..at least in regard to what we have in the squad at the moment. As fer the other games - The Huns should have wellied the Arabs and what a classic Robb OG. Latapy is running the show fer the Bairns but he will run out of steam soon. Midden looked the business but Well looked dire. Hibees are still trying to play too much football and Killie have a real star in Naismith. Muvversmell and the Pars are rightly at the foot of the table at the moment.
  12. Sorry Alex..I forgot fer a moment that I was prophecising to lay people. Skilled tasseographers, like ma good self, often refer to numbers as letters due to the potential tea leaf formation displayed.
  13. Why dont ya stick yer head down under and have a look? :015: :015: :015:

Torquill Mcsaatchi designed it and assured me that it would get me noticed. :015: :015: :015:
  15. I was quaffing ma tea just aboot 4.51 and the feckin room started shaking. The letters BW and the letters 2 and 3 were immediately prominent. Then I saw a ball smashing into an empty net with the goalkeeper nowhere to be seen. Barry Wilson has evidently scored the goal of the feckin season.
  16. But is he a Time Machine?

I got mine from Barmy Flags. Excellent. :clapping04: :clapping04: Look at the Ayr game pics on CaleyJags.com
  18. And from TODAYS' herald: Christie has played down suggestions a deal has been done which will see defender David Proctor sign for Dundee United. Craig Brewster has already seen three attempts to sign the right-back fail this summer. However, Christie insists the 22-year-old remains a firm part of his first-team plans. He said: "I have heard absolutely nothing about this from my board or from Dundee United and David is a part of my squad and plans for this season." :010: :010:
  19. Yet more evidence of the Power of tasseography. :003:
  20. I hope his surname isnt Upya. :017:
  21. I totally agree :008: :008: :008: Christie backs Black for the future Charlie Christie is disappointed that Inverness starlet Ian Black has been omitted from the Scotland Under-21 squad to face Slovenia. The 21-year-old had been part of the Scotland Future team, which defeated Turkey at the Caledonian Stadium in March. But, despite being overlooked for the European Under-21 Championship qualifier in a fortnight, the Caley boss has backed Black to feature at international level in the future. Christie said: "I thought the biggest opportunity for one of our players getting involved with Scotland would be Ian Black being a part of the under-21 squad. "I was slightly surprised that was not the case, but I am sure his time will come." 4 August 2006 BLACK SEES RED AT HIS SCOTS SNUB By Euan Mcarthur IAN BLACK last night blasted the decision to snub him for the latest Scotland Under-21 squad. And the Inverness midfielder claimed he would have been picked had been at either half of the Old Firm. Back in March, he was part of the Scotland Futures side that lost to Turkey in a friendly at the Caledonian Stadium and was thought to be knocking on Walter Smith's door for full national honours. At 21, he is also still eligible for the Under-21s but there was no place for the former Blackburn starlet in either squad named this week. Black, who is wanted by Dundee United, was hoping his Futures squad call-up would have helped him secure aplace with the Under-21s. He said: "To not even have been in the equation makes me honestly think the reason is because I'm playing for Inverness. "It's maybe not a big enough club in some eyes and it's maybe a bit far away for people to come up and watch us regularly. "If I was playing at Celtic, Rangers, Hearts or Hibs then I think it would be a different story. "The same thing happened with our keeper Mark Brown last season. Mark is one of the best keepers in the SPL and has hardly missed a game since coming here. "But David Marshall was in one of the squads when he wasn't even playing for Celtic so it makes you wonder. "It feels like a kick in the teeth not to have been included. I'm very disappointed. To have been part of the Futures Squad and to then not be in the Under-21 squad is a slap in the face. "With no disrespect to the other young lads who are in the squad, I'm still only 21 and still available. "I played 24 games last year for Inverness so I'm playing regular first-team football."
  22. The sign of Proctor being released came up in ma cup of tea yesterday but then I noticed it was only a spider.
  23. Here is an exclusive picture of his departure.
