Hey - can I have an XXL (I like them baggy) wiv. on the front ICT and :thumb04: on the back IHE

Where exactly is this Cadgers Brae ??
-
Dods not coming - Dan the Man off to the Magpies - this has to be down to spondoolachs.
-
Plus it is more of the "singers", the "hard core" at away games - and we are usually all stuck in together in a constricted space. Alcohol does not have to be imbibed to lessen your inhibitions.

**** me - peeple are agreeing with me - can soon change that !! Anyway I totally stick by original post and that is not becos I am anti-Brew - I think he made a BIG mistake but he/we got off with it. I also agree that we have no divine right to beat teams like Arbroath especially in the cup AND M4TJ is rite - there were bigger "fallers" than us. According to reports Wood and McCallister "failed" as did Barrowman and Rooney - I would suggest that it may not have been the case if it was played the other way around. The two main starters are told they have an hour and they go to try and finish off the game - allowing the two yoofs to come on against a demoralised outfit - theory I know but better than Brews. Plus our squad will never be of an "equal" standard - we will always have the few stand outs, the few reliables, the few inconsistents, the few who can play if they have to. Last nite was NOT the time to experiment. Falkirk may tell us a lot about the season ahead - I think that we may well pinch it as I feel that we will be the Arbroath on Saturday but we do have the "talent" to soak it up and hit on the break.

We have just had a big debate about how important cup runs are to our finances and to attract the support and then some of you support Brewster. What would have been the outcry if we had gone out ?? We should have started with the strongest X1 and took on the yoof once the job was done - the outcome is a spate of needless cards as I suspect we began to panic and that may also cost us in the future. And would this game have been the opportunity to play Barrowman and Rooney as a airing and probably enhance their understanding of each other and potentially their confidence. It has to be a matter of underestimating them as any small team (used to be us!) would give their all to have a SPL scalp - it was their cup final fer fecks sake. We survived and I bet it will be the strongest team next time -Brew is a very, very lucky boy- has he feckin learned anything ?

Whoa - this can be more simple !! Get a Monthly forum / meeting - limit the numbers - it could be three/four representatives of the club and three/four representatives of the supporters - one/two from the Trust and one/two from the Forum - the fans reps are not there to promote their own thoughts - they are there to represent the forum. Then you have a Standing Agenda - made up of the list of usual issues - from the fans and the club - then you discuss each item to look at what has been done, what the fan/club reaction is, what actions could be taken further and who is responsible. Then you can have the Matters Arising at the end and put them all into minutes. Then you post them on here - hopefully the feedback may be that things have improved -if it is no change then you raise it at the next meeting. At least that way peeple can have their say and it would be up to the reps as to which posts / comments to take to the next meeting. And lets just concentrate on the non playing side at the meeting.

And the thread goes on and on - loads of concrete criticism but loads of constructive suggestions. So what do the members of the Supporters Trust say ? This is going nowhere if we dont push it - Should the Supporters Trust not suggest / "demand" a monthly forum and put 2-3 reps from this forum on it. Lets get together a Standing Agenda - lets put forward the sensible proposals and lets put a thread on here every month with the minutes. Lets feckin act not whinge.

Scotty - Remember the days when you could get well oiled before the game - stand and sing freely on the terraces - engage in "harmless" banter with peers and away fans - enjoy the craic and go back happily to the pub ? Well nowadays ya are apprehensive about what is classed as intoxicated at a football ground - you are apprehensive about standing up and singing - you are apprehensive about being lifted for pettiness - and possibly spite. Jobs, careers, aspirations and livelihoods can be at stake - that is feckin frightening !! There is only one thing fer it as far as I am concerned - I am feckin emigrating to Toronto.
-
Yip - I agree with a lot of that AF - but more open communication is required - full stop. Rumours escalate, doubts persist and grow when clear statements are not forthcoming and secrecy prevails. Why dont you feel negativity on other sites ? Could it be that there is an atmosphere of openess. The club appear to be widening the gap between themselves and the support - that should never be the case. We should be in this together - working together - it feels like a battle to get any clear information to be passed down - And who's fault is that ? Shurely some of the suggestions being made and the constant negative comments - car parking; stewarding; the advertising boards; disabled facilities; food; free tickets fer kids; fans forums etc. - not to do with the feckin playing side - must be ringing in the ears of the management - and what do they appear to do ?
-
Scotty - been there and got the T-shirt - Rules, regulations and over zealous stewarding is killing the game - it aint an enjoyment anymore - it is trial and tribulation.

Perhaps some will chuckle at me saying this but there really is a lot of common sense being spouted on this thread. I hope that Gringo Junior and some peers use the likes of this thread to open up some dialogue with the club. What about a Monthly Fans Forum with a Standing Agenda - the minutes could be relayed back on here. That puts the Club and the supporters in the spotlight - The club has to repsond to the agenda items and any actions taken would be a bonus BUT the supporters would have to apply themselves as well and turn out on a regular basis. It can be a chosen few representatives from each side - not a room full of tension. We realy need a forum where the issues - some feel like eternal ones - are raised again and again.
-
Lets be a little realistic here - we are a surviving and selling club - that is how we survive. Bringing through the yoof has to be a positive and saves money in the long run. If we could attract more bums on seats we would be on the breadline. Again that has a lot to do with the inept running of that side of the club. I take it that the "expenses" column was reduced from last year.
-
Well good news on the whole but leaves a lot of "doubts" fer some - Good shares outcomes which I take are nothing to do with Orion Enterprises - we still dont know what the greedy Mercenary pocketed - what about the money that we are rumoured to have bagged for his Euro 2008 expolits - but I suppose business is business but I still detest the secrecy - which leaves those lingering doubts. Wouldnt it have really helped the relationship between the club and the fan if the statement would have been more precise in stating the approx. ammounts that we profitted from this summer from the Mercenary farce - but there again business is business and that will be well hidden by this time next year. Does explain the jettisoning of a few players though and - YES - the importance of the cup runs is well and truly highlighted. Again on the positive side a mention of the continuing Youth development and the numbers moving through into the main squad would have been a nice touch. Gawd - do we need some PR "magic".

I wouldnt be seen dead wiping ma erse with yon scabby thing - imagine what venereal diseases you could catch - Milroyphillis, Black Death, Jock MacDonald rot.
-
Personally I would advocate getting totally pished before all games - get one of the supporters buses from one of the pubs - and finish off the session before going home. Plus it is better for the environment.

Unless Dinamo Bucharest visit.

Bloody typical - the draconian, powermad Bigass pulls a power play on the well informed, reliable Fairass. Still it will be main forum news on Wednesday. -
That is fer once sumbody who actually goes to games - No "carefree" though.

The "atmosphere" at TCS is poor becos - Scottish Football regulations totally deter the making of an atmosphere - the TCS stewards are IMHO the worst in the SPL - they single people out and try and make life a misery for them - they really do antagonise - why are they not like Hearts or Midden where the stewards concentrate their efforts on the Away supports. I have always felt that Section G need a "leader" or a couple of head the balls - but would they be targetted ? When there is a few more pissed up senior citizens the singing prevails. But when the lads start off the North stand "sweetie rustlers" prevail. I also note that there are pockets of singers dotted all over the North Stand but unless you have a concentrated mass it doesnt work - but look what feckin happened when they put us all together !! Yes alcohol does help - and **** the kids with the sweary words - like Caley D says they no all the feckin words already. Long live and prrosper the yoof of Section G - dont let the bestards get ya down. I must arrange that home trip - and a lawyer. :thumb04:

Totally agree with that myself. If I still lived in Sneck I would certainly be a season ticket holder. Living where I do I try to do my best to support the team at away matches and an occasional trip north for a home game. Like so much else it's an expensive day with the cost of fuel to be taken into account. I would have to totally agree - if (or when) I return to Sneck I will try to go to every game - even the reserves. I have read with some interest the debates as to whether you are a "fan" or a "supporter". I would say that a TRUE "fan" is the "diehard" - the one who stays on no matter what - now I would put maself in that category. Most of the "diehards" have been there since day one and can recall the joys of going away to Stranraer or Berwick or Dumfries in midweek. Many have left sneck and can only be part timers these days. Then there are the "fans" who came from the emergence of ICT and the media rush of the cup exploits. Many were part time diehards and many have departed. Perhaps with the younger generation - they are spoilt - and there is the expectancy of SPL fotball, of victories and big games, cup runs, Europe - who knows - would they still be there if we hit the SFL again. And then there is the club - penny pinching is the name of the game - we have to make every penny count so hiking the price may sound / feel like good business but we have to attract newcomers with "freebies" - especially the kids. We could certainly do better PR. the behaviour of our management team in recent seasons has not helped our image and we are as bad as anybody in Scotland at keeping the fans in the dark. And unfortunately the glory hunting fascination of the Old Filth still prevails. Some sing - I am Caley till I die - I live and breathe it.

Jimmie Buff and he's a winger.
