  1. Ledbetter Heights by Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
  2. Aye, Tesco's staff certainly have plenty to learn in terms of customer service. ASDA staff certainly seem far more customer focused that Tesco's - Walmart US-style staff training and motivation more than apparent.
  3. Sad news indeed. A true gentleman and a loyal supporter and stalwart of the club. Sincere condolences to his family and many friends.
  4. Aye, a very sad day indeed for motor sport in the Highlands and Scotland too. A very nice person who will be greatly missed.
  5. Treasurers was the barber's shop, the family stayed in Lilac Grove, #1 at the corner of Caledonian Road. Where exactly was the Treasurer's you're talking about Canuck? I seem to remember relatively recently that Billy Treasurer, who lived in that house on Lilac Grove but will be in his late 50s or maybe early 60s and hence probably the next generation down, had a barber's shop in the main front Market Hall off Academy Street. However there's also a bell ringing about a barber's in New market Hall between the Fishmarket and the main hall. Was the original Treasurer's nearer the back of the Locarno? Treasurer's the barber was originally in a basement (of the Balmoral ?) in Queensgate - I was taken there as a kid for haircuts in the late 1950s. I recall Mr Treasurer as always being a very smartly dressed man in his white coat and good at putting you at your ease. They moved to a new shop in the market (next to Johnstone's the gents' outfitters) in the early 1960s and Mr Treasurer died not long after. I think Mrs Treasurer used to serve at the front counter.
  6. Well, a couple of people I spoke to after the match said it could be misconstrued as being racist. Was it necessary at all ?
  7. Did anyone else today notice the young guy in the ICT top with the black whole body stocking and what did you think of it ? I have to say that I didn't think it was in very good taste. Hope there won't be a repeat next Saturday.
  8. I certainly hope there won't be any repercussions from the two pitch invasions. All the ICT fans were just in great spirits today and it would be pretty harsh if the club were to suffer over this.
  9. What an afternoon, what a team, what supporters, what a manager. Oh......and what a score ! Just fantastic - yet another game for the ICT history book. Roll on next Saturday at The Dump. :D :021: :022: :025: :clapping02: :clapping03: :clapping04: ;)
  10. Only one song for me on 1st May - Going Home: the theme from Local Hero. The Toon run out to it every home game. There's just something about that song......
  11. Much appreciated Elgindee - very sporting and that's how football should be. All the best to your team for next season. ;) :015: :015:
  12. Aye, congratulations to all involved at the TCS, both on and off the field. Great achievement for our team.
  13. Absolutely fantastic night for the team and the club. What an achievement by all involved. Can't put into words just how happy I feel tonight !!!!! WOOHOO right enuff !!! :021: :drinking09: :drinking09: :drinking09: :party01: :party01: :party01: :party01: :party01:
  14. Falkirk - I've a long memory. :026:
  15. I would like to add my congratulations to the team, both on the field and off it. If all goes well over the next fortnight and we return to the SPL this is a major achievement and a credit to all involved at the TCS. Division 1 is a very tough league and a return to the SPL after just one season is a very special moment in the history of ICT. Very well done.
  16. Great result for us - great fans, great afternoon, great team, great manager. Just great ! :allhail: :) :021: :021: :021:
  17. North Tonight is just a complete joke as far as football coverage is concerned - last night's edition being only the latest example. If it's not Aberdeen, Dundee United or St Johnstone then you can forget any decent or comprehensive coverage. ICT, County or Dundee never get even a passing mention. As for the Highland League, it's not on their radar. PATHETIC !
  18. Civil Servant with the Scottish Government.
  19. I heard the rumour about Jonny and Richie going to Aberdeen but let's hope it's just that.
  20. What gets me about General Elections these days is just how much the voters are on the outside looking into the cosy little world of the politicians and the media. The politicians are just terrified of meeting any real voters that's why they like to be seen in carefully stage managed photo opportunities surrounded by admiring party members. No danger of being challenged or their policies being questioned at these meaningless events. Please can we have our General Election back.
  21. I'll be voting but it's really pretty pointless as the election result will be decided by a few marginal seats in middle England. After all the expenses scandals I think these politicians have a brass necked cheek even to show face. They should be very humble indeed but there's little evidence of that from any of them.
