  1. Utterly brilliant video - I haven't laughed so much for a very long time. Certainly a pretty accurate reflection of the current situtation among the higher echelons at The Dump. B) :D
  2. Federer's just won in straight sets.
  3. Oh dear, this is not good news at all and I am very sorry to hear of this. The club shooting itself in the foot again. :022: :023:
  4. Great result - well done the boys and Terry and June.
  5. HT: 0-0 FT: 1-0 1st scorer: Rooney Crowd: 2,967
  6. Playing Speak No Evil CD by Tinsley Ellis just now.
  7. I have to admit that I'm a bit hazy about Eastgate brefore it was knocked down - which is ridiculous because I went along Eastgate 2 or 4 times a day for six years whilst going to school! Was Greenlees on the opposite side of Eastgate but almost at the bottom of the hill? Bernardis - was that on the Stephen's Brae side and almost at the bottom of the hill - round about where the Chinese and the Celtic Shop are now? And the only steps that I can think of that might have led off the Brae might have been down to the bottom of Crown Brae behind the Plough. But the only premises I can remember there was Mason's electrical shop (owned by the grandfather of the twins who play for Inverness City) which was on the Eastgate/ Crown Brae corner. And where did the Hearachs who didn't have half a brain go? :tonguecheek: Wasn't Greenlees the name of the shop which Henry Pieraccini ran as a newsagents/gift shop ?
  8. Trampled Under Foot from Physical Grafitti by Led Zeppelin
  9. In Pic 13.....that shows the castle.....why is there two bridges at the bottom of bridge street close together? One is in a VERY odd position! That's the road bridge that was built in 1939 to take traffic away from the old suspension bridge. This bridge was taken down after the new bridge was open in 1961.
  10. The aerial photographs in this link will give you a good idea of what Sneck was like before they went and ruined it. http://aerial.rcahms.gov.uk/database/resul..._term=Inverness
  11. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
  12. Truly the voice of rugby. I loved his commentaries with his little phrases like "They'll be dancing in the streets of Hawick after that one". I was never much of a rugby fan but I gave up watching rugby altogether when he retired. A great Borderer. Very sadly missed.
  13. Well done the lads and well done too Terry and Maurice. A great result for us. :D :D :001: :019: :021: :021:
  14. I have an MP3 player which is OK for listening to music on the move but you can't beat a good stereo blasting out a CD. I've never bought into this dowloading craze - surely it's better to listen to a CD in its entirety and draw your own own conclusions about the music as a whole and choose what you think is the best track. Also, there's something about a CD that you can't get from a download - the artwork, the little booklet. I am rather afraid that CDs are indeed slowly on the way out but at least I have a fairly good collection of them to keep playing for some years yet.
  15. A victory for real music and not manufactured X Factor pap. Listen to the lyrics of Killing In The Name Of - we won't be told by Simon Cowell what we'll have as Christmas No.1.
  16. Is Steve Paterson really the answer in a managerial role though ? I have said before that he should a place in the club in some role, i.e. scouting. I saw ICT several times last season and I thought their technical ability at the basics like free kicks and corners was woeful and looked like they hardly practised these at all. We need someone at the club who is a first rate coach. Whether TB or MM fulfil this requirement is open to question.
  17. Very disappointing result to say the least - we should be comfortably beating teams like QoS. I do appreciate that the team is being rebuilt at the moment with a lot of new young players coming in. On one hand we must be patient but on the other we need to watch out we don't lose touch with the top teams. Don't think we'll be going back straight up into the SPL but I don't believe we'll be relegated either.
  18. Yes, so tragic and such a waste of two young lives. They both must have had a pretty bleak view of their futures to do something like this.
  19. Great to be in the final and well done to the boys. It's at McDermaid Park on Sunday, 22 November.
  20. Oh dear, the world (and the club for that matter) has gone mad. Mad, mad, mad ! :022:
  21. Well, we gave it our best try and certainly gave the Steelmen a good run for their money. After going down to 10 men we came out of this game with some credit. Well done lads.
