New Season - New T-Shirts
Brilliant, just a bit concerned they will be to thick over the bridge to get it.

Salvation via Robbo
How long before Mark Brown, Michael Fraser and Barry Robson are linked with moves back here Mark Brown and Barry Robson are by no stretch of the imagination "local". I am not sure even Tokley is a local lad, he is from Aberdeen is he not.

It's a question of respect!
Don I am not so bothered about his outburst on Sat as I have been known to have my own from time to time so I don't disrespect him for his outburst but do hope he has the decency to apoligise. Also my opinion of how Butcher is not even slightly affected by the boards ill advised bounce back statements as I never thought we would anyway, my opinion is based on the fact that his signings in general have been dreadful, he is tactically inept and plays very unattractive football. I also think more people have been swayed by his PR than any statement made by the club.

My predictions for the rest of the
My only prediction for the season is the we will once again carry on with a tactically inept manager as the club falls further into the mire, while those upstairs carry on patting themselves on the back telling each other what big important people they are. Then when its all to late the penny will drop that they have fecked up again.

A sackable offence
If Butcher had kept us up he would have taken the praise, his mucking about of tactics, dropping key players and playing player out of position did not help our cause so he has to take a part of the blame.

A sackable offence
Pass the HP! Na I'm startiing to lose my faith in him as well I just think you're off the mark with your opinion of last season. I'm under no illusions about what happened last season Harry, Brewster dropped us in it but when Butcher came in there was a turnaround but be thought his own ego could win us matches. When the new manager bounce fizzled out we were left with what we now have. Nowt much. He talks the talk but can't walk the walk. Spot on as I said in a previous thread he got the new manager bounce once that left him he was found out, would any other manager have kept us up we will never know.

Who is to blame?
The board reappointed Brewster who had an appalling spell at Dundee United then replaced him (far to late) with a manager who probably had a worse record so they must shoulder part of the blame

The Horror Show
We have been playing with a lone striker since Brewsters time and never had a striker that has been suitable for that role

No Midfield
Bully is a bombscare, do you not think zadi is a bigger bombscare :D
-
No Midfield
No it wasn't. I would say it was certainly the latest in a long line of blunders but the first, and biggest mistake, was losing / not replacing Rankin when he left. I was meaning in the Butcher era, but yes agree we have lost a lot of quality players and I know for a fact we could have held onto some off them.
-
No Midfield
I don't think we have and whoever comes in after Butcher has a very difficult job on his hands.
-
No Midfield
Losing the likes of Black etc was difficult but maybe unavoidable, for me the biggest blunder was getting rid of Vigurs.
-
A sackable offence
Joe he will have to walk off the bus no way can the club afford to sack him and his esteemed sidekick.

A sackable offence
I think that when Butcher first took over he got a bit of the manager bounce that normally happens when they take over and get a wee run of results, if my memory serves me correct even Brewster got this after he took over from CC. After that run Butcher has done nothing to convince me since that he is a capable manager.

Next Saturday
I think in the clubs current state they need as many to come as possible , whinging moaners or not

8 games down, 8 points adrift
Was speaking to an ex manager of ours last night and he reckoned you needed to be picking up an average of 18 points each quarter to be in the mix we are well off that trarget

Ex-ict Players Score
I was having a beer with my cousin last night who plays for Huntly said that Soane is a cracking player

Keep Butcher, Here's Why!
Great post totally agree, the worrying thing is your last statement yes whoever does come in has a very difficult job as to be honest Butcher will have left a very poor squad.
-
Who is to blame?
Don while I tend to agree that expectations are a bit high, surely its not to high to expect a bit more than 1 home point than we have thus far and butcher has to be responsible for that.
-
Keep Butcher, Here's Why!
Marius hasn't been paid yet, and would the 500k Euro they got from Dinamo Bucharest plus the 60k Euros they got for him playing in the Euros not cover what they have to pay to him
-
Who is to blame?
Don I think we both agreed that to see a team that would attack and to say the least would make an attempt at entertainment would be a huge approvement ,this has got worse and 4-5-1 under butcher is the final demise of the club
-
Out Now Butcher !
I agree with that they are struggling in a bad team but both are players we could ill afford to lose
-
Butcher's role
He signed a lot of the dross we have got

ICT -V- QOS : matchday thread
Most of the players were only given contracts until the end of the season it will be another rebuilding job next season but hopefully with a manager that can spot a decent player, at the end of the day losing 3 points at home and another 3 goals just aint good enough
-
Butcher and Malpas' contract
maybe they thought it was good timing after the glorious football we played to get to the final of that illustrious football tournament known as the Alba cup
