  1. Thanks IHE, as much as I would like to not in a position to at present.
  2. I thought that Alec Cleland would have a role, but sadly he has gone too. More like Charlie Christie will fill Dannys boots I would think yes thats how I imagine it will play out as well LG
  3. Pleased to see the statement, only down side for me is the loss of Danny who did a lot of great work on the youth side of things
  4. It features 24 teams from North and Central America and the Carribean. Format: http://www.concacaf.com/competitions/champ...010/format.aspx Qualifiers: http://www.concacaf.com/competitions/champ...0/qteams09.aspx The Canadian Champions have to play in the preliminary round, this will be against Puerto Rico Islanders and if we win, we go in a group containing MLS champions Columbus Crew. The Crew are TFC's nearest rivals geographically and in the eyes of many fans, they are to Toronto what County is to ICT.... Incidentally, Columbus were put out by PRI last year so winning the preliminary game is no walkover. PRELIMINARY ROUND San Francisco (PAN) vs. San Juan Jabloteh (TRI) Pachuca (MEX) vs. Jalapa (GUA) New York Red Bulls (USA) vs. W Connection (TRI) Olimpia (HON) vs. Arabe Unido (PAN) Cruz Azul (MEX) vs. Herediano (CRC) D.C. United (USA) vs. Chalatenango (SLV) Liberia (CRC) vs. Real Espana (HON) Toronto FC (CAN) vs. Puerto Rico Islanders (PUR) GROUP STAGE Group A Houston Dynamo (USA) Metapan (SLV) Pachuca (MEX) or Jalapa (GUA) Olimpia (HON) or Arabe Unido (PAN) Group B Toluca (MEX) Marathon (HON) D.C. 5. Steve Staunton will get that job
  6. Must be a few caps amongst that few particulary Sergei's contribution
  7. 6 or 7 million Dont think the club would be valued at that much My guess is it would take about 2m to buy out the shareholdings, a further 2m to buy the stadium rights and an initial investment of 3m to get the club back on a strong footing. So 7m is probably pretty close to the requirement. All in all to much for anyone to take over, so by the 3m to get the club on a strong footing which is highly unlikey does this mean we are never likely to get back on a strong footing
  8. Alex how many fans do you think didnt boost the bankbook because they are fed up of the lack of communication from the club, fed up of the way the club fail to improve the matchday experience, fed up as it was obvious to all apart from those upstairs that we were only going one way under Brewsters stewardship
  9. Was that aimed at me
  10. Although some have their doubts about Butcher, myself included I am right behind him for the coming season. I believe the problems at the club run a lot deeper that the management on the football side.
  11. A lot of people out there would like to know where he gets his information from. Underneath the giant toad stool at the bottom of Dingly Dell would be my guess.... I dont profess to get information from anyone. As I said, 'it is my understanding'. An understanding based on comments made in conversation with a person or persons with some close ties to the club. If my understanding of things is wrong then so be it. If I interprerate something to be different to how it was intended then I apologise. Like anyone else I am entitled to make my comments and views without being subjected to childish spat from the Johnboys of the land. As for the part about sell on clauses, on re-reading what I wrote I realise I should have inserted 'generally' between clauses and only and 'normally' between never and when. I will edit and correct to avoid further confusion. Alex I wasnt having a go just clearing up things from what I know
  12. Totally agree until we see the squad complete it is difficult to say, I would be more confident if we could hold onto Eric and Foran
  13. Alex I dont know where you get your information from but it is not accurate. Niculae never requested or never had a release clause in his contract to any team, he had a standard 2 year contract. There was a sell on clause in the contract that was negotiated between the player and the DOF, Alan Savage was not present, I know this as fact as I was present. As for the sell on clause only ever happening when the player concerned is an upcoming star, no idea where you pulled this from but I can assure you this is not true
  14. He is most likely to go to Liege, as their new manager was the manager at Sporting Lisbon when Marius was there.
  15. Exactly its a case of wait and see and hope for the best
  16. Your for getting we still have Russell Duncan he can do that aswel :017: :015: Russel Duncan would easily and happily slip into Brian Kerr's posistion if he leaves. The only problem that i can see with Russell is his aggression to the game. He should calm downabit and should think before making slide tackles. his passing is also rotten, but a player you miss when he is not in the team
  17. Your for getting we still have Russell Duncan he can do that aswel :017: :015: Duncan's a cracking centre mid, I think he'll be one of our better players in the first division I think there is a lot in that while a few of our players may have not been SPL standard (not saying Duncan wasnt) they will be good SFL players
  18. Charles no wonder some of the fans feel alienated. So you dont find the board somewhat responsible that Brewster was left in charge when it was clear he was taking us down. What club in the world has fans that don't have a go at the board at some point,
  19. stevico1 replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Exactly guy loves the club, total respect for him
  20. No probs Birdog
  21. Now there is a question for boardroom banter, get writing stevico. I don't participate in BB I am afraid Mr Birddog
  22. fans are never going to be totally happy with the information they receive from the board, however the fans might be a bit happier if the board saw fit to put a member of the supporters trust on the ICT board.
  23. stevico1 replied to WYNESS101's topic in Caley Thistle
Totally agree, I wonder if any of our Directors would be happy with that as the main sales outlet of their main business, I would very much doubt it
  24. stevico1 replied to Snaarf's topic in Caley Thistle
For me the guy will start with a clean slate next season, hopefully we will play in a way that lets our strikers get some service and then he might prove his worth
  25. The season would have been looking better, of that I've absolutely no doubt. Like I said in my previous post, it's all about being given time, something which he did not get. looks like we will just have to agree to disagree, we are both entitled to our opinions mines just happens to be that he is one of the most tactically inept managers I have ever seen, although I dont fully blame him for our relegation
