Top 6 or not top 6, that is the question
Well after tonights results. I think there is one place to fight for. I presume the following will pull away 3rd - Hearts (good strong sqaud) 4th - Dundee Utd (starting to find form after slow start, plenty games in hand) 5th - Killie (despite losing sammon have good creative midfielders to pick up enough points) Leaving ourselves, motherwell, st johnstone and aberdeen to fight it out for final place - we have added to our squad and kept rooney, two postitives - motherwell have lost blackman - big loss - st j - similar squad - aberdeen - kept maguire added blackman and a few experienced players but furthest behind going to be close, unfortunately if i was a betting man i would go with the dons to pip 6th place on final matchday.

Open Night this pre-season?
Dont know if this the right place to put this but is an idea for a fundraiser. Stirling Albion trust are pretty proactive (buystirlingalbion.com etc) and they use an end of season football aid style fans game to raise some funds. They will be playing their fans game this saturday. Check out their website for details. Basically they use forthbank pitch, changing facilities etc, have 14/16 home players and 14/16 away players, 2 managers, 2 assistant managers who all bid for their place. they get guaranteed certain amount of time on pitch (60 mins i think). Apparently it raises a couple of grand for there supporters trust and is a good day out. With a bigger fan base than albion im sure the price for each position would be higher therefore raising more money. Am sure ICT wouldnt mind pitch getting used once over close season.

merged: County Community Club?
I perceive being a community club simply as reaching other to local schools providing lots of coaching and small gestures which 1 stops local lads joining other clubs and spreading a net over inverness and further afield to talent spot most players and 2 ensures the next generation has many more supporters (or customers) than if an effort was not made with youth. Clubs incomes are mainly proportioned to their size of attendances. Short term gains in football generally end in disaster. Long term thinking is positive. bit of balance is required, money to first team so they can compete and money towards community project which will reap benefits in the future

Plea to the board!
it is important they stay. for me a realistic aim was to in the mix and building for a real push next season. so far this looks achievable but only if the majority of the assets are here next season and that includes the management team. is it not pretty straightforward to offer a contract with a percentage increase if we manage to win promotion?

Barrowman
Long story but basically ended up in Dingwall on Saturday with the away fans. County were good, Binos were rotten, crowd was poor. Anywhoo the quiet crowd livened up when Andy entered the fray, fans began singing his name etc, corner for County at the Jailend, fans start chanting 'if you hate the caley thistle clap your hands' mr barrowman has a clap above his head towards the jailend which is delighted, followed by 'andy hates the caley' chants. It got me riled at the time and whilst i know its part and parcel of football, players moving on and immediately changing loyalties i just want to make andy aware that at the next highland derby the fans should make it clear to andy that his immediate public showing of dislike to his previous employers will not be forgotten. Much was said about Tokelys pre match interview before the dingwall game earlier this season, but players and fans should use this gesture as ammunition to get everybody well up for the game. Overall im glad he has dissapeared and i feel its Countys loss and their current strikers are better than him, if he gets in the team he will miss chances and cost County points. Bring on the derby!

The possible return of the longman fortress!
Could it be about to happen? Finish the season strongly with a good home record, keep it up next season and who knows. When teams get out of the first division its usually down to cracking home form

ICT in the 2000s
10 years ago we were underdogs - under not much pressure (perhaps leading to playing style)- fans and club were together (fans had more enjoyable matchday experiences) Currently we are an established team - under pressure from fans to perform (perhaps leading to playing style) - fans feeling distanced from club very rough summary overall an enjoyable decade - loads of highlights
