Those were nervy last few minutes, with the penalty, the miss, pitch invasion, boxing match, restart, final whistle... Just said thank you to Alan Savage on the pitch side after the trophy presentation, as without his backing and hard work I don't think we would have been there to see it 👏

And a total of 12 seasons in the Premier League which I think puts us top of the table of clubs-which-are-not-traditionally-established-top-flight-clubs-in-the-current-era (County, Falkirk, Accies, Partick, Livi, Dunfermline)

Possibly the cost of a hiring/staffing a Premier League stadium would be prohibitive - Pittodrie would be ideal otherwise and we could try and put back the temporary sign we had above the entrance in 2004...

I'm another one from London - similarly I was on holiday in Inverness in 1998 when tickets were available for our League Cup game against Aberdeen and the rest is history. Managed to get up for most of the games in 2002-03, not much in recent years although hopefully soon...

I believe an Insolvency practitioner (the Administrator in our case) has to assess the history of the business and conduct of all the directors (or people who acted as if they were directors) of the company and then report to the government Insolvency Service within six months of their appointment. These reports are confidential, but I think the information contained in them is the primary source of evidence for any subsequent attempt to disqualify a person from being a company director in the future.

It's not part of the primary legislation that governs insolvency (Insolvency Act 1986) or the secondary legislation from 2016 (England) or 2018 (Scotland), but something that the football governing bodies insist upon to allow a club to continue after the Insolvency process. As such it's rather controversial and frequently criticised - I don't think there's any other sector with an equivalent provision.

My heart sinks when I see someone's name as a thread title - awful news and my sympathy to all his friends and family. A football club is nothing without fans and Johndo was such a big part of this club, so recognisable

Without waiting for the official verdict it seems that Rangers' problem is that they didn't use some of the money saved with the EBTs to employ a decent tax lawyer to make sure the scheme was completely legit and properly operated so that there couldn't have been a challenge from the Revenue in the first place...
